Fairly tight spacing for a big rig. Some rocks and trees to navigate around. Very wooded campground. No satellite access at our site. No park cable, only OTA channels. Staff proactive and friendly. While there we experienced power issues that caused an outage on multiple sites. Staff was very responsive and had issue resolved quickly. - Ftharrisiii

This park recently became a KOA branded park. It is very wooded. During our stay the fir trees dropped a prodigious number of small needles. Perhaps they are deciduous and do this in the early fall. However, they did cover our car every day, and necessitated a full sweeping of the motorhome roof and awnings before our departure. Our assigned site was spacious, but not particularly level. We ended up using extra blocks under both our front tires and the front jacks. The staff at this park are quite friendly and pro-active. Unfortunately they got a questionable reading on a water system test early in our two week stay. We were promptly informed, and the park provided bottled water for our use until they had several good readings. No cable TV is available, but we were able to get several broadcast channels. WiFi worked ok during the day and when the park was not full. We opted to switch back and forth between the park service and our own Verizon. - The Borgs

Very nice park away from the busy life. Right beside Fort Drum, some military activity heard sometimes. Owners and staff very accommodating. Lots of activities for the kids on the weekends. Indoor pool was nice on the rainy days. Small store. AT&T service good. Very quite during the week. Not sure why this is the Watertown KOA as Watertown is a 30 min drive away. - On the way

Huge sites. They are really long pull through sites (enough room you could put two campers in one site) and very far apart. Being on an Army Post, you have all of the services of the Post available so no problems getting supplies, food, propane, etc. Lots of hiking and biking trails throughout the Post. There is also a large playground and dog park within walking distance of the campground. No problem setting up satellite and we had very good TMobile service here. - Chuck Shrader

Great wide open location near the pond recreation area. Big sites. 45 bus with toad and still had lots of room remaining. Loved it here. - KodiTzu

Campsites are very roomy. All hookups worked well. There is NO wifi which is a problem for us full-timers. Apparently the campground is adjacent to a training area. There was a company of soldiers and two helicopters working on the hill right next to us. There are many cabins and more being built. The laundry room is small with only 2 washers and 2 dryers. The Allstays directions to the campground are wrong and will take you to the wrong place. Ask for directions at the gate. - Melodycthomas

When I was a young child, my family use to go to this campground and my memories of camping there with extended family are some of the best childhood memories that I have. My wife and I and some friends decided to try the campground out after many years. I was a bit reluctant, having placed this campground in such high esteem based on those great childhood memories, and not knowing the current condition of the park. I was not at all let down. It is a small park, only 56 sites, but the sites are large, very wooded and some are electric. The swimming area is created by damming the Whetstone Creek. It is a very quaint, very nice campground with some excellent hiking trails and an excellent fishing spot at the Reservoir just up the road. We will return so that our children have good memories of this campground too. - camping lansing

Clean park but very rude owners. They do not care if you rent from them or go somewhere else. Very quiet park. No activities. Does have swimming beach and boat ramp but no docking and no place to leave your boat once it is in the water. Only has 15 amp service. Most sites do not have sewer. The owners here only cater to seasonals who have been with them a long time. This is the first year I have rented from them and paid for a seasonal site. I was told they had a place in the water for my boat but when I put it in the water the owner literally yelled at me for taking a spot and was called a newby with no rights. Will move my unit to a different park at the end of the season. - muskie6

We stayed 1 night and would not stay again unless it was the last resort. Water, electric and sewer worked, but as others have said, the long term residents seem to have it better than the transients. They far out number the overnight people. We were led to our site from the wrong direction. We were expected to make an impossible turn with our dully and 33 foot 5th wheel. Once we got to the site, it was an OK sized pull through on grass. It had rained and the site was pretty squishy. We were able to set up our satellite dish. - RVLive

Only spent 1 night here, mostly seasonal sites. Was probably nice for the seasonals but not very friendly for ones just passing through. - sassy530
