Rate is based on weekly charge. Spent a rainy week here with family assembled to watch 12-year-old nephew play in a baseball tournament in Cooperstown. Check in was friendly and courteous, although an escort to our site would have been helpful. Interior roads are gravel with adequate room. Our site was a beautiful wooded, wide pull through with rustic charm (but water and electric only). Verizon service was spotty as was the campground supplied WiFi. No cable tv with some OTA stations available depending on your campsite. Fishing pond, paddle boats, and playground were a hit with nieces and nephews; the pool needed some TLC. Several cabins and two baseball fields for rent seemed well-utilized. Bathrooms were nice and very clean including two shower stalls ($.25 for 6 minutes). Picnic table and fire ring at each site. We had a great time here and would return if we were in the area. We camped at Cooperstown Beaver Valley Cabins & Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a family campground which runs baseball training camps for kids. There are two baseball fields in the park, one of professional dimensions. We were there to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, about 12 miles from the campground. The access road off Highway 28 starts with a very steep hill and then winds uphill for several miles. Near the top of the hill you turn left at the T and the road gets even smaller with trees impinging on the roadway. It is a short distance but we had to pull over to allow opposing traffic to pass without driving through trees. Once in the park, there is plenty of room to maneuver. Office personnel were very friendly. Our site was located next to some cabins which housed a youth baseball team that was competing in a tournament in town. Parental supervision was lacking, children left trash left on our site and in our fire ring. Noise wasn't a problem, all activity ceased by quiet time. The sewer connections was an 8" tall pipe, gravity flow was not possible. I used our macerator to pump the tanks rather than fight with the 3" hose full of sewage. Wifi was working for us which was good because we were pretty much off the grid for cell phone service. We camped at Cooperstown Beaver Valley Cabins & Campsites in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We spent a day in Cooperstown and enjoyed the visit. Besides the Baseball Hall of Fame which was our interest, there area a number of other museums in town. Cooperstown is a small community in a pretty rural area. There are a few hotels serving the area and not much else. We had to try several campgrounds before finding one with a space available during the summer baseball season.

We arrived a day prior to our reservations and they were able to accommodate us and said it worked out better because Friday they would be full in the full hookup area. We came from Minnesota to watch our son coach, and our grandson play in the Field of Dreams Parks Tournament. The RV park was nicely located as it is only a few miles from the Dreams Park and close enough to Cooperstown that it is an easy drive. It is a steep winding road up to the RV location if you follow the GPS. Take Seminary Road off the main road and it is easier. The sites are all grass, and fairly level. They had rain so we had to back through a little mud, but no problem. Person at the front desk was friendly. When I asked if my son and grandson could visit she said absolutely not. They had a policy of no visitors. But as you leave the office to go to your site, there is a sign that says all visitors must register. In their rules and regulations they say no visitors, but if you have a son staying elsewhere they are welcome and able to come in. Don’t know to this day what their policy is. Would have been nice to have our son and grandson over for a home cooked meal. The grounds are neat and clean. We did not use the pool but it was large and looked clean. Don't believe it is heated. The place could use a little tender loving care like sanding and re-staining the picnic tables, cut around all grass areas, and put away old machinery etc. Dumpsters located at one area only, and no trash drums set out in the park. We wanted to leave a day early but they do not refund payments less than five days prior to the cancellation. This is even though they had all the full hookup sites, except ours, open and available. They also charge $7.00 per night for each additional adult and $2.00 a night for a pet. Our total bill for four nights was $248.00. A little pricey for what you get. In site A9, where we stayed, we had to hook together two sewer hoses to connect. They had open cabins and open RV sites, but they put us right next to a occupied cabin. It would have been a little more considerate to give us and the people in the cabin additional space. We camped at Cooperstown Beaver Valley Cabins & Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

We reserved for two nights and were charged for one night non-refundable. I paid for the second night when we got there. We went to our site and checked the park out and decided it was not what we expected. No cable or Wi-fi and a rather dumpy place. I asked for a refund for the second night and was told they don't give refunds. What a great business policy. We left the next day without refund, but it was worth losing the money just to get out of there. There are much better options in the area. We camped at Cooperstown Beaver Valley Cabins & Campsites in a Motorhome.

Park is actually in Milford, NY - about 6 miles from downtown Cooperstown. Nevertheless, nice quite, rural park. We were given off season rates. Family owned / operated and they are very pleasant. .25 cent pay showers. Verizon cell barely worked, Altel didn't. Come with long sewer hose etc... as hook ups are well back in the sites. They have 11 cabins and lots of tent sites. In summer they run baseball camps hence the major league and little league field on grounds. Suggest call for space 800-726-7314. if you're a big rig. We are 39' 4 slides. We'd camp with them again. # of sites is a guess as they have approx 24 tenting sites on their 300 acres. We camped at Cooperstown Beaver Valley Cabins & Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.
