Jul 2016 - $35.00
Parked here during a rally. Easy access from the freeway. - Mustcamp
Jul 2010 - $35.00
Camped here in a PUP for the Right Coast Car Show and had a good time. I've said that the rest rooms where not clean because it appears some scum bag had spread "crap" all over one stalls walls and toilet & it was not cleaned up the 5 days that I was there. We stayed on the race track infield and the location was great. The ONLY minus was that one stall being munged up! Would recommend! - Star Boy
Aug 2016 - $38.00
I've read some of the other reviews, and while I agree with most of what they say, I can't make it seem like this place is a total sewage dump. The bugs were pretty bad on the back side (stayed across from the tent sites). But the place is surrounded by water, so pretty much expected. Lots of "seasonals", so good/bad, you decide. Showers were closed when I was there, but restrooms satisfactory. The sewage hookup did leave a bit to be desired, and you needed more than one person for it (one to run the plug and another to hold the darn PVC pipe in place). Beyond that, it wasn't THAT horrible. I'd stay there again, if for no other reason than location (I go to Liverpool, NY about once a month). - lyagooshka
Sep 2015 - $38.00
We shared our water connection with 3 other campers so there was a "Y" connection on top of another connection. The electrical hookup was rusted with duct tape over one receptacle. But the worst part was the sewer hookup. It consisted of 15' of PVC pipe laying on the ground which offered little drainage and a terrible smell. The site was a mud hole. Never staying there again! - cooktr

The Good...extensive shopping nearby, close to Syracuse, mature trees, nearby lake.
The Bad...Most sites filled with seasonal, many are traffic police. 5 mph speed limit is brutally enforced, even though nobody knows how fast you are actually driving, just "too fast". 2 useless stop signs on property. Don't roll through them. Quiet hours not enforced. Among experiences were drunken cabin people returning in wee hours arguing using f-bomb every other word. Not appropriate for family campground.
The Ugly- our site had a septic tank 10' from our front door and open sewer connection at ground level covered over by a rock 7' from our camper front door. Property flooded 3 times in the 5 weeks we were there. Septic tank became inoperative. Anyone using dump station 50' from our front door would force sewage water out of septic tank on our property onto the ground. Puddle was about 10' in diameter. Open sewer pipe was filled with solid waste. Owners pumped tank twice while we were there, but situation was not resolved. We left the next morning after discovering this. - dthurk
Jul 2018 - $25.00
The staff that work there are very disrespectful. They run the campground as if they own it. Do it there way or they will call the ranger on you. Even tell you how to back up a trailer and where to park your vehicle. They walk up on your site without even announcing their presence scaring you. You'd think they own the place. They need some training on how to treat people and be respectful to people.
The park itself has gorgeous views for tenters. RVs and trailers do not have access to any water sites. The bathrooms have a code to gain access. There is only 1 bathroom for the entire campground which seemed sufficient. The showers are quite a distance away located in the day use area of the park. Check what events are going on at the park and boat launch as they tend to start early (6am for fishing tournaments) and it can be quite loud. Also there is a car raceway nearby and you frequently hear the racing noises til almost 11 pm. - jap724
Jun 2017 - $35.00
Campground was nice, but muddy from the rain. But the campground hosts were totally "over the top" control freaks. With selective, uneven enforcement. One wheel on the grass, and they would harass you. Made the stay very uncomfortable. - edandck
Jul 2016 - $35.00
This county park campground is less than a mile from exit 31 on I-81 and is convenient for us to visit friends and relatives in the Syracuse area. The park is located on the southwest shore of Oneida Lake and has an excellent boat ramp, children's playground, ball field, archery range, beach volley ball court and a swimming beach that rents kayaks and paddle boats. The park hosts several fishing tournaments and triathlons including the annual "Iron Girl."
The campground has 30 sites in the woods with no hookups and is occupied mainly by tenters. The 24 sites with water and electric are out in the open on a gravel circle with no privacy or shade. There is a restroom in the camping area but the showers are located about 300 yards away at the swimming area. The showers were clean with lots of hot water while we were here. We would stay again because of the convenient location. - Appleknocker
Sep 2018 - $45.00
This park is 1,756 acres, and you want to stay in the Pinewoods campgrounds. We were in site # P14. It was a large pull thru. There are more rustic forest type sites if you want those, but in Pinewoods, all the streets are paved and so are the sites, with lots of grass between them. The walk around the lakes is great. This place would be a 9.5 if they had wifi. They also don't have laundry facilities here. Plus many of the paved sites are really sloped, so bring extra blocks to get level. - Vipermanden
Aug 2017 - $30.00
Beautiful State Park with two very deep glacier created lakes. Nice shaded walking path around both lakes with a very popular swimming beach on the shallow end of the larger Green Lake. Campground has excellent paved roads and new modern bath houses with individual rooms enclosing an infant changing table, a toilet and a shower. Area is heavily wooded except for a new section in the Pinewoods loop that has pull through full hookup sites. This is our new go to campground when visiting family and friends in the Syracuse area. - Appleknocker
Jun 2017 - $21.00
Sites were kind of small in my opinion but the facilities were very nice. Even had a fresh water fill station in the way into the park which is nice so you don't have to fill up before arrival. All of the staff that we dealt with was extremely helpful and friendly. There is also a lot to do around the park to keep everyone occupied from fishing to hiking. We also rented a row boat which gave a great perspective of the lakes and the natural beauty. We didn't spend time at the beach but it seemed well maintained and clean. - mdeisenroth
Sep 2018 - $40.00
So glad we found this campground. Very convenient being only a few miles off the NYS Thruway. The kids loved the pool, which was very clean, as were the bathrooms. There were no issues with the electric or water and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Loved the fact that they had a bar & restaurant on site as we were tired and not in the mood to cook. The food & service was excellent. Not at all what you would expect for a campground. - Average Guy
Jun 2018 - $45.00
This is the second time we stayed at this park. First time was 16 years ago and we were disappointed back then. There has been little to no real upgrades to this park since then. Water pressure was 20 PSI and at times less. We used a Hughes Autoformer during this stay because last time the power was so bad and I didn't want to chance it. No sewer. For $45.00 a night we had 30 amp power and water only, that is all the park provides. All the facilities were dated 16 years ago and there have been no improvements since then. Restroom cleanliness unbelievably remains an issue with some unusable. Remember, $45.00 a night. Mostly permanents at the park and they are parked one on top of another. Roads are in rough shape. - The Man with No Name
Sep 2016 - $40.00
We stayed in the overflow area (loved it) on Labor Day Weekend 2016. We were very happy with our stay. It was very quiet and spacious.
Arcade/Game room was a nice addition, not alot of games but some and could use a little TLC. Showers/bathrooms could use some updating, brightening up, and minor repair and there's only one area of them. Bar/restaurant had a huge deck with a beautiful view (deck could use a little TLC) pool (right below deck)was clean and well maintained. variety of choices on the full food menu and both food and alcoholic drinks were reasonably priced. WIFI available. Friendly fellow and seasonal campers. There was entertainment and activities for both adults and kids. Bring your own wood. No issues with water, electric, or distance from pole. Didn't get a chance to find marina/fishing area. need better signage, especially for/in overflow area (site #, site size, direction sites face) a bit confusing. Off the beaten path but close to local roads/thruway. Will definitely go back with a group, and also recommend. This is no high end campground but is perfect for the average person/group. - Annette Meyers
Aug 2016 - $21.00
If you are looking for a safe, quiet place to sleep while going from east-to-west NY this will do. Fulton is near the top of central NY so does not get much rv traffic. This is a city park. Hit it in dry season so everything looked dead. Warnings everywhere not to swim in the lake or allow animals anywhere near the water. Permanent problem with blue algae, which can cause ALS. Most of campers appeared to be lower income, permanent residents. However everyone was plenty friendly and staff was helpful. Probably least appealing campground we have used, but decent enough. Fulton is on the Erie Canal, has interesting history. - Mike from Bama
Jul 2013 - $20.00
Friendly park in a quiet area conveniently close to town. Lake is not swim-able but has excellent fishing and boating. Entrance road is paved and campground roads are gravel. Grassy, treed, large, easy access sites with smaller sites on the waterfront. Several docks for fishing and boating with a large concrete boat ramp next to a large parking lot with plenty of room for boat trailers. Has a wooded path leading to State Route 3 for walking/biking access to a mini-golf course, the YMCA and several restaurants. - Appleknocker
Aug 2016 - $32.00
Out of the way, but easy to get to. Park was well maintained. Many seasonals, but they were well kept. Main problem was that sites were very un-level. We first went to a 50 amp (they only had a couple) and it had a terrible slope to the back. We couldn't begin to get level. Then we moved to a 30 amp. Those sites were in the middle of a circle of seasonals. Just a small field. Not bad, but again we couldn't get level. Not as bad as the first site, so we just made do. - DYK 640
Jul 2016 - $38.00
I was a bit hesitant to stay, since the reviews are mixed, but we took a chance seeing as how even the most recent review was 3 yrs. old. We were pleasantly surprised, overall. Unlike so many other places we have been everything is very spread out. The sites were very large, nice & flat, and after about noon were shaded. The pool was in very good condition. And it has a bar! For me this was big draw; being able to go for a swim, and walk into the adjacent building & have a cold beer. On tap. A craft brew IPA no less, and only $3.75. We found all of the seasonal people to be friendly as well. WiFi stunk but we have yet to find a park with even adequate WiFi. Overall we just really enjoyed the weekend. - Joe & Penny
Oct 2013 - $38.00
We stopped at this park because it was listed in Passport America. It was not the easiest park to get to, but we wanted something that was not directly on the Interstate. When we arrived there, the first thing the woman behind the desk told us was how bad this year had been for them, and how much the recent rains had damaged, or made unusable, some of the sites in the campground. When we told her we were members of Passport America, she informed us that the sites reserved for Passport America members were among those flooded, and she refused to give us the discount! The site assigned to us was next to several sites that were occupied by old trailers that were in such poor shape they looked to be abandoned. In addition, the park roads were dirt and only one lane, making it tricky to back into the site assigned to us. This park did not make us feel welcomed, and we would not recommend it. - seabreezeblk
