We were parked in the newer section which has flat gravel sites that are quite level. The over-all appearance of the park seems to have gone downhill since last time we were here, two or three years ago. The showers and bathrooms were dirty and unpleasant. Overall everything has a mild appearance of disrepair and lack of maintenance. I think the park may be suffering from a lack of financial support. Our site had electric, but no water or sewer hookup. There are some back-in sites with full hookups, but the do no look level, and appear a little hard to get in with our 40-foot RV. We camped at Robert H. Treman State Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We had reserved a spot for our 40', with electric. The site was a back in and up a fairly steep slope, which made it impossible for us to back in to with our tow bar. We elected to move to a non-electric site in a big grassy area. This worked out because it was still cool and we didn't need a/c. Generator hours were short. Besides the area we were in, which had few trees, the rest of the sites were in the woods, tough to navigate through with a big rig. The park itself was beautiful with the waterfalls and trails. Verizon signal was weak. Main access to the CG was through a bridge and you unhook your car by the office. Firepits and tables provided. We camped at Robert H. Treman State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Camping fee allows entrance into other local state parks and they all have interesting waterfalls and rivers and trails. Buttermilk Falls and Taughannock Falls State Parks are worth a visit. Ithaca Beer Pub has good food.

One of our favorite places to stay. Electric sites fill up fast, so reserve ahead. Most sites are good for big rigs, but not all. Swimming is great , hiking Lucifer Falls is spectacular. We camped at Robert H. Treman State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed in the sites with 30 amp service. These sites are not level, and we had a great deal of trouble leveling out 40 foot RV. Shorter rigs or trailers would find these sites satisfactory for leveling. If we stay here again, we will stay in the level sites in the field, that do not have electrical service, and would use our generator. There is much to do in this area, with a spectacular hike through a gorge with many waterfalls, and swimming in a pool in the park that is fed by a waterfall. Also there are nearby wine tours through the Finger Lakes,as well as the Corning glass museum about a 40 min drive from the park. We camped at Robert H. Treman State Park in a Motorhome.
