An old campground in need of repair. Provided full hookups, but even those were tired. Pool open for only a few hours a day because owner said it was her prerogative. Kids' area dirty. Pond barely accessible with paddle boats on shore but broken. Some sites had not been cleaned and had dangerous debris in them. It sends a clear message the campground is on the downhill side of what was once a nice facility, being run by owners who have lost their concern. Sad. - EdCHP

Cheap place to stay for an overnight stop. We stayed two days so we could visit Bethel on the second day. Water was good, sewer hook-up worked, electric worked, grass was cut and smelled great. We were the only camper in the park that wasn't seasonal but we didn't come there to socialize. Nice quiet place at night to sleep without noise of noisy kids running around.
Be prepared to not be wowed or highly impressed. The place is run down but serviceable. Priced fairly using Passport but I certainly would not pay $51.00 a night to stay here. With a little effort someone could probably make a decent campground out of this place. It certainly has the potential. - Rvdixie1

Site was grass and deeply rutted, no where near level; very tall grass; grounds have not been maintained in months (years); weeds are abundant and I was concerned about snakes hiding in them within 20 feet of our site although I never saw one; playground, pavillion in complete disrepair; the bathroom/showers/laundry room were disgusting. Pool is being renovated, old boards are laying on grounds with the nails sticking up, water looks like it has not been maintained in years; We called and left a message for owners to see if they had coffee in the store and they never returned the call; in fact, the "store" has not been restocked in years; previous "terrible" reviews of this facility are still relevant. - Barbara Aileen

A nice park right off NY-28. Many sites are along the creek, and the others are short walk. You can't see much of it from the road, but it is pretty big and spread out with a big meadow in the middle and lots of trees. They keep it neat, mowed and clean. Sites are dirt/grass and level. Minuses: No sewer, our site was more dirt than grass and got pretty muddy after rain, satellite is iffy with so many trees but some sites would work (we had to use our portable). Pluses: spacious sites (those away from the creek are even more spacious), grounds are quite pretty, LOTS of room to walk dogs. We found it very homey and pretty. The whole area has no cell coverage unless you are in the heart of one of the small towns. - darwinmoore
