The daily camping fee was $29 for a "premium" site plus $9 for reserving over the internet. My site had no electricity and no sewer. All the sites with electricity were already reserved. Water was available at spigots distributed around the campground. There is a dump on the way out of the campground. There are several bathhouses. The bathrooms and showers were quite clean. There is also a laundry that came in handy. You're supposed to leave your bag of trash by your site so the maintenance people can pick it up. The seagulls and crows broke open my trash, so I'm not sure this is really the best way to handle trash. The weather had been very rainy so there was some concern that the ground would be soft. At least at my site, the ground was firm and there were no problems getting in or out. It seems that all the campsites have a view of the St. Lawrence River, including those, like mine, that are not on the river bank. I would enjoy visiting here again. We camped at Kring Point State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Frederic Remington museum in Ogdensburg is about 30 miles away. The paintings and bronze statues are worth the drive to see.

Overall Rating:

One of the cleanest places we've ever seen.! Great Facility, large showers, very clean restrooms, a laundry room, a fish cleaning station and more. All with great views of the St Lawrence Seaway from EVERY site. Even if you are not right ON the water.! Nice General store 100 yards outside the gate. Lots to do nearby. Don't miss the Boldt Castle Cruise... take the 2 nation tour, its the best. Highly recommend.! We camped at Kring Point State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Alexandria Bay has lots of shops and restaurants. A bit further is Clayton which also has many quaint shops. There is a very nice diner just West of Alexandria Bay on Route 12 (right side) that has excellent food at a very reasonable price. I think it was called the Kountry Kottage.

This was one of our favorite campgrounds from our summer travels.

Water views of the St. Lawrence Seaway and it's oceangoing freighters from every site. Well maintained. We camped at Kring Point State Park in a Travel Trailer.
