The best thing about this park was the fact we could park for free at Niagra State Park! No pad to park on, had to park in the grass, it was very unlevel and muddy! We actually thought they had made a mistake and had an employee come and check it, it was so confusing. He said we were in an older section of the park and they were booked for the weekend. Then received a note after returning to park and were instructed that they were paving roads from8-4:30 the next day and day after, that we wouldn't be able to leave unless it was before 8 or after 4:30. No notification was given to us on check-in, had to leave a day early and were not refunded. Bathrooms were clean, view of lake beautiful, but very unhappy with our stay. Crowded and loud neighbors. Would not stay there again. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed on site #79, which was an electric site with a nice lake view. Our row of sites was separated from Lake Ontario by a large, open field. The sunset views over the lake each evening were spectacular. Our site actually had a gravel driveway and pad, as did several others, but I noticed that the majority of sites were grass only. There was a nice row of small shade trees and bushes that separated our row of sites from each other, but the general feel of the campground was more open field rather than forest. I really liked our site overall, but it was a bit of a walk to the bath house and water spigot. This is a very large and popular campground, and to my surprise it didn't empty out much during the week. The setting is beautiful, the rangers were friendly, and the playgrounds are very nice. The camping loop roads were nicely paved and great for bike-riding. The lake was simply beautiful, and you can even see the Toronto skyline on a clear day. With that said, some of the facilities could use some TLC. There are several bath houses with laundry located throughout the CG, and some are a bit more updated than others. The closest bath house to our site was unfortunately the most dated and dirty of them. The showers were pretty gross, and the bathroom stalls were so-so, but there was constantly TP all over the floor, overflowing trash cans, and only one working soap dispenser (which was empty most of the time). We usually see camp hosts at state parks who take care of bathroom cleaning, but I didn't notice any hosts or host sites this trip, which I thought was odd. I also noticed that the park in general was sparsely staffed, which seemed odd given the amount of campers. Overall, this is a lovely park in a great location. While the facilities within the park were lacking, it is a beautiful and affordable base camp from which to explore all the nearby towns and attractions. We would camp here again! We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The convenient location of this campground can't be beat. Fort Niagara is about 5 minutes away, the falls are 15-20 minutes away, and there are many farm stands and cute little towns nearby. Another neat town to visit is Lockport, about 30 minutes away (Lake Effect Ice Cream is a must!). This is a very rural area, so the fresh produce stands are plentiful during the summer season.

Beautiful park on Lake Ontario about 30 minutes from Niagara Falls (either side). Most sites have electric; water spigots are available around the grounds (tip: fill up at the back of the office where they have a hose attached so you don't have to get your hose out). Only a few sites have waterfront views. Although we were there over Labor Day weekend and the place was full, everyone was friendly and quiet. Lots of families with children and dogs. Large playground including soccer goals. Sites in the 200 and 300 loops are a little wider spaced than in the 000-100 loop. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice State Park with large, back in sites. Each site is on level grass with a picnic table, and fire ring. Some sites are treed, others are open with a lot of space between sites. Each site is approximately 50' x 50'. Rest rooms are very clean and well maintained. All the roads are paved. The electricity is convenient and works well. It is close to the lake, but no beaches or convenient access. There are several yurts for rent and a lot of tent camping sites. The only negatives are no water or sewer hook-ups. We would recommend this State Park. We would stay here again. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

We were on site 225 which had a lot of space on the driver side and a hedge on passenger side. So lots of privacy. We originally reserved 221, but when we got there, discovered a huge weeping willow tree encroached on part of the pad. It would have been on our roof and we would't have been able to open slides or awning. Perfect site for a small RV, but not for our 35' DP. As this was the weekend before the holiday, we got lucky that we were able to change sites. 225 was sunny and open, so Verizon and DISH worked great. You can see a little bit of Lake Ontario too. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Buy the Discovery Pass for Niagara Falls. All major attractions included at a very good price. Park in Niagara Falls State Park for free with your camping car pass. Usual price is $10. DO NOT park at or go to the Welcome Center. This is NOT part of the official Niagara Falls. Go to the Visitor Center. Plaza is under construction, but all services are open.

Beautiful state park near Niagara Falls on the shore of Lake Ontario and close to several other interesting areas, including wineries, Fort Niagara State Park, and Lockport. Site was large and private. Centrally located water faucets available, showers at bathhouses. Had a lot of rain, so must be careful to stay on the gravel pads. New York requires proof of vaccination at all state parks for your animals. Have that ready at check-in. Because we paid the camping fees here, we were able to park free at the Niagara Falls State Park and Fort Niagara- need your camping pass and/or site number for those lots. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here four nights while visiting the local attractions and friends. The park met my expectations marvelously from its website. After weeks of camping in the dark Canadian forrests it was a pleasure to enjoy the openness of Four-Mile Creek. Beautiful grass lawns stretch everywhere with giant shade trees on almost every campsite. Ours had a windbreak of cedars on one side that gave us complete privacy on that side. We had a view of Lake Ontario also. The park is only 15 minutes from Niagara Falls and fine minutes from historic Fort Niagara. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here while visiting Niagara Falls. Campground was full for Columbus Day weekend since one loop was closed for the season. With only one restroom/shower in our loop & no paths it was a long walk from site 227. The hot shower was worth the walk Very easy to drive from 4 Mile Creek to Niagara Falls State Park & your parking pass is accepted there Our site was dry but not very level, several sites had standing water when we arrived. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Traveling in a 43ft Class A with 4 slides and tow vehicle. Rate shown includes the reservation fee paid. Large state park with electric only. Very large grass sites that had plenty of room between neighbors. Convenient to Niagara Falls, clean grounds and right on Lake Ontario. Roads to campground and interior park roads are big rig friendly. Direct TV satellite is visible at this park in most sites and AT&T service was decent. We stayed in site 65 which had two downfalls. 1) there is a very large tree that blocks Direct TV satellite unless you have a mobile satellite that you can locate at the back of the site. 2) On the passenger side of the site, right at the road is a 4'x4' square storm drain that sits about 2 feet below the road surface which makes backing into this site difficult as it sits right where your wheels would run but the drop is 2 feet. We turned around and came in the opposite direction from what was recommended and were able to avoid the drain. That size drain is necessary as there were heavy rains during our stay and without it many sites would have flooded, it is just inconveniently located right at the site. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicest State Parks we've discovered; with level, spacious, grass sites and large shade trees. There is plenty of green space, all neatly mowed. It was a great place to walk my dogs. Sites are electric only, water is available at side of check-in office, or spigots throughout the campground. Quiet and peaceful here, yet a 20-minute drive from Niagara Falls attractions. I'd give this campground a "10" if it had full hookups. We would definitely stay here again. Great state park on Lake Ontario, sites are back in gravel & grass, some with shade, OTA worked fairly well. Clean bathrooms & showers. Sites are electric but no water or sewer, but water fills throughout the campground, nice dump station. Spacious, grassy sites with 50 AMP hookup. Lots of weekenders partying, but not obnoxious or noisy. Interior roads were easy to navigate, and backing in our 40' fifth wheel was easiest ever.
