2 RV Parks near Twillingate, Newfoundland
Sep 2018 - $30.00
Lots of different sites to choose from. Some out in open. Some in woods. We chose site with full hookups that had view of ocean. Everything worked well for us. Close to office so WiFi was good. Nice campground with services to use while visiting Twillingate. Would return. - smitty12

Peyton's Woods is a nice base to explore the Twillingate area. The sites are sufficiently wide and deep. The grounds were clean and the staff very friendly. The view from the campsite is gorgeous and we enjoyed walking along the cove. We saw an iceberg one day and a seal swimming in the cover another day. The Peyton's Woods "snack shack" is a very handy food truck type operation at the entrance to the campground but we never had occasion to buy anything there. We only had one minor issue. We had a 30 amp site and had some trouble with low voltage occasionally. Our surge protector caught it so no problem. It tended to happen when we had multiple high draw items going at the same time. - User3581

We were visiting Twillingate because my husband's grandmother was born there which we explained to the owner when we booked in. She gave us great information on people she knew related in the area. Our site was pretty level and close to the office and showers. Great view from our site! They are busy with improvements so trucks were a bit noisy but not intolerable. Easy walk to the cove with fantastic views. Sadly we were not there during iceberg season. The wifi was non-existent as mentioned in other reviews and no TV at all but it was nice to be "unconnected" for a few days. - Catsinatrailer

Being a provincial park, the reservation fee of $9 added $3 per day to the rate so this stay was more expensive than other parks. The water is always listed at BWA (Boil Water Advisory) but the park ranger said that they never take the sign down for liability reasons even though the water is constantly tested good. The ranger was VERY helpful and friendly. The site was not as level as I like, with about a 5" drop which required blocks. The view from the bath house was outstanding. - cherib

We wanted to visit Twillingate while in Newfoundland and decided to stay at a Provincial Park. Dildo Run was in a good location for visiting this area and a nice park. There are only electric hookups (50/30/20A) at the site (no water or sewer) but there are water hydrants and a dump station. However, the water hydrants say that the water needs to be boiled - don't know if this is temporary situation or not.
Other folks staying here have indicated that the restrooms/showers are really nice
The interior roads are adequate - in the one-way section they are fine. In the two-way section, it would be tight if we met another RV. - pattic777
