Awesome service, The cabin was very comfortable and clean. My husband and I loved everything about our experience. The reason we said its a nine is because both hot tubs were closed to the public. Other than that everything was perfect. We camped at Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Cabin.

Stayed two nights with reservations for FHU 50 amp service. Staff is pleasant but very young and not knowledgeable. Tried to assign us a spot that wasn't sufficiently long for our 5th wheel and pickup. Reassigned a back in spot and after unhitching discovered that 50 amp service was not working and maintenance man informed us that it was a known problem for this and other spots. Made do with 30 amps rather than move. Amenities appear nice but far from many areas requiring a golf cart rental if you don't have one. WiFi is adequate but cost us $6.95 for two days (we are not Thousand Trail members). Old park that needs work on sites. We'll look for alternates in the future. We camped at Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at site c88. The bathhouse was right across from are site and was fairly clean. It needed some updates done to it. The was a sign on the bathroom doors about how some of the bathhouses being vandalized and if you saw anyone do this. You need contact to front office and report it. Our site was nice and in full shade. The picnic table had been broke at one time and needed to be repair or replaced. The campground store wasn't much to look at. There were two large pools and both were full most of the time. The mini golf was awful. It wasn't clean, all down hill, and didn't look like anyone had used it in years. There also wasn't a sign tell you where to get a club and ball to play. We were told that the game room was free. We quickly found out it wasn't. It was free to enter the game room, none of the games were free. Including to pool tables. We didn't care for all the golf carts either. We didn't stay at the park much other than to eat breakfast and dinner. We went out to explore state parks near by. We camped at Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Tent Trailer.

Assigned us a FHU back-in site that was not level at all. Called to ask if we could move next door to a site that looked more level and was told no, the Rangers assign the sites and you have to stay. The water quality was good and the electric was good; had to park in an area next to our site, not enough room for our truck. No cable or Wifi, but TV Antenna coverage was adequate. Picnic table and fire pit. TT offers many amenities: pool, playground, mini golf. The shuffleboard court was in bad condition and did not look used; the mini golf was on a hill and looked treacherous to walk on. Billard table cost $; laundry was reasonable and uses your own debit card. Lots of trails through the woods and an area for overflow to let the dogs loose. We camped at Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Travel Trailer.

This weekend was an all women's trip for me and my friends. A disconnect and weekend away for all of us moms. My husband was so sweet to come set up the camper Friday for us, then come back and break everything down Sunday morning. It was their first time camping, so I was disappointed with the whole setup. Thank goodness the winery made it worthwhile! PROS: > Super Fun day adventure. > There were 2 large pools and both looked very nice, but closed due to the season. >They do have a golf cart ramp which is helpful when loading/unloading. CONS: > No campground store which meant no firewood or ice for sale. > Wi-Fi available only by purchase >The "speedbumps" around the campground were a thin piece of metal stuck out of the ground and it was very rough on tires even if you went slow. I understand they are needed, but could be improved. > When we arrived there was no fire ring at our site. We saw the Ranger a few sites away and inquired about a fire ring. She told us to find one on another site and take it. Never offered to help. > We shared a site with another camper. We actually were told this at check in and requested a different site because we didn't want a buddy site. However the ranger said we couldn't choose our sites and that there was plenty of room. Based on the park map, it appears to be plenty of room. We quickly found out differently. Our site was B34 and their site was B12 however it was one long site with a fallen log for separation. (please see the attached pictures.) I could hardly walk between our two campers it was so tight. And we both were in our designated spots. Neither one could move forward or our utility hookups wouldn't have reached and/or our slides wouldn't have had room. Very frustrating because the campground was not full, there were tons of empty sites that would have fit our travel trailer. Thankfully our super close neighbor was friendly and quiet. Ultimately not a fan. We camped at Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Travel Trailer.

I like this place. It is conveniently located between Mocksville and Lexington with Winston Salem not far away. The staff here are superb! They are what bring us back when we are in the area and and as full timers with a Thousand Trails Elite membership, we choose this campground as a main stay when coming through. We were here for the Thanksgiving Dinner and everyone brings something. It was fantastic! On the site, we got a 30 amp and there is no cable amenity which the kids would love. Campground offers wifi. We use a Verizon jetpack and the signal was good. Family lodge has arcade for the kids and the adult lodge is gorgeous, one of the best on the east coast for Thousand Trails. Roads are a bit rough, but go slow and you will be fine. We camped at Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Travel Trailer.

A neat campground, we liked it. Looks being well looked after. Has got several community buildings, a nice lake with a beach. I especially liked that there are several dumpsters all over the campground, you don't have to drive for them. Very good laundry - good big machines, a price is 1.50, they just installed credit card system, so it's very convenient. Upon arrival the nice attendant at the guard post checked us in. Your not allowed to pick your site so I requested a site with not to many trees due to our satellite usage. She really couldn't recommend a site but did move us to D section and escorted us to the site. The site was a pull in and adequate for our 37 1/2 RV Motorhome, had a fire ring and a picnic table. The grass needed to be mowed and you need to bring block levels as we had to use 2 blocks on driver side and 3 on the passenger side. It was a gravel site. It was a big campground and we met some great campers who stopped and spoke. To be honest the campground has some improvements that could enhance a campers stay which one is the parking bumps in the road to slow golf carts, cars etc. They are literally using parking spaces as a slow down bump which is hard on the tires even if you go over it slow. I think if they place more rock over these areas you will have better results, otherwise I would think the owners would be responsible for tires since they are hard and rough on vehicles/golf carts. Next they had activities planned on the board (bingo, movie night) which both were cancelled with no reason just decided not to have it. Also there is no store on the site, it was stated from one of the campers its seasonal only open in the summer. I find not having a store onsite when open very inconvenient to RV Motorhomes. This campground is part of a membership like timeshare. This is the second time staying in Thousand Trails and I'm not sold on the benefits of a membership based on amenities and what savings you get based on the overall experience in the TT campgrounds. I rated TT a good campground based on a good weekend get a way and close to Childress Winery. I would like to see TT except the feedback and make it a better experience and then I would be happy to give a higher score. We camped at Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Terrific Thousand Trails park. Good signage from US-64, with a turn lane eastbound. Access is through security gates. A passcode provides access when the guard is not on duty. Very nice at the reception desk, and offered to escort us after they caught up on some pending matters. We opted to figure it out ourselves with no major problems, although it can be tricky to correlate what you are seeing with the map. Auto-levelers worked fine, and power was good. GREAT adult lounge, and separate family / adult pools. Really interesting golf cart trails and a dedicated platform for loading / unloading carts from pickups. Most sites were quite roomy, and some are shaded. Plenty of others with no sun but great satellite access. They have pay internet, but didn't use it. Solid power. On some sites, utility connections are in front so you need to make sure you have enough power cable / water hose to reach. Bathrooms are clean, but there is no soap dispenser in Bath #2. We camped at Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

This review is tempered by the fact that we were placed in overflow which we knew coming in. We were not warned that overflow is in a field at the end of a long, dusty unpaved road. We had to get in the car to visit the pool or other amenities. The place was busy and check-in was very slow. The check-in office is minuscule which meant standing in the hot sun until space inside was free. When my husband asked about dumping on our departure, he was told to look for an empty site and to use that. Quite awkward. The sandy beach was unavailable as there was yellow tape around the lake. An escort to the site would have been nice since we weren't sure which unpaved road we were supposed to use and the office had not marked it on our map. We were just told to take "the unpaved road to the right". On the plus side the cafe looked quite nice and the adult pool was a welcome addition. Great places for long walks and birding. Forest Lake is a fairly good jumping off spot for a visit to Winston Salem and Lexington. We camped at Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

There is a nice little (not fancy) bbq joint just down the road but I would still try to find a place closer to Winston Salem. Had a wonderful visit to Reynolda House. Don't miss the pimento cheese at Conrad and Hinkle in Lexington.

Stayed here for a week with our Thousand Trails membership. Nice campground with abundant campsites but members are allowed to lease a site annually, therefore there are a lot of sites in use without owners occupying them. A lot of personal landscaping and even storage buildings on some sites. Not my idea of "resort camping." Campground personnel are very nice and helpful. We stayed here for 3 weeks and the park wasn't bad, not the best but for how large it is, it was just fine. We used the pool everyday, some days it was cleaner than others. We cleaned it ourselves a few times. The park is full of year round folks who are very nice. Volleyball in the pool every weekend. The staff is amazing, very helpful. Tons of golf carts everywhere at all hours. Our site was in the back in lot B near the storage area and there seems to be a lot of people coming and going from up there all night. We were also on a hill pull through so we didn't have any room to sit outside at our site. Both AT&T and Verizon signals were strong.
