The campground is very neat, clean and well laid out. We walked along the water and spotted dolphins swimming by. Pelicans flew by, too. All hookups worked fine. Our site was a pull through and had a concrete pad with picnic table. There is no WiFi. The laundry had 2 washers and 3 dryers that all worked fine @ $1.50 each. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A great place to stay while visiting the Havelock area. The park is several years old, but everything is still like new. The Wi-Fi worked excellent despite the park being filled to capacity. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Of the nine famcamps we have stayed in (so far) this was the best. Very well maintained, clean, quiet and well laid out. Paved roads (blacktop) and large concrete sites (pull thru and back in). Would definitely stay there again. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park was already great. Now they have someone in the office 5 days a week during normal business hours. No more leaving messages and playing phone tag to get a reservation. All the services (W/S/E/Wi-Fi) work very well. We would stay here again and will continue to do so when visiting the eastern North Carolina area. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

One of the nicest military campgrounds we've stayed at. Concrete level pads, nice spacing. quiet area of the base. Lots of people stay for months at a time so definitely reserve in advance. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very clean. Sunny sites, lots of room, easy to get in and out of. Level concrete pads. They have the nicest utility pedestals, everything was in one spot, easy hook up and everything worked, cable & WiFi. Bathroom/Showers are private and you get a code to get into. Nice golf course close by. Walk to the river for fishing. Verizon cell worked great. No fires allowed. Would go back again. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nicest RV park I have camped at. Spacious flat concrete pads for the trailer, easy in and out. Immaculate restrooms and laundry area. Quiet park, little to no noise from park patrons. Great having a utility pedestal where everything was in one spot and it all worked. Not camping to watch TV but must have had 100+ channels on cable, great Wi-Fi too. No shade for those in the middle of the park and no open fires allowed-the only two minuses for the park. We will be back! We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pelican Point is only a few years old. Everything is in excellent repair and works well. Getting a hold of the personnel in the office can take a bit. Just leave a message and they will get back to you. Staff is friendly and helpful. Active, retired, or DoD ID required to get on base. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is our second time at this park. Unlike a lot of military campgrounds, wifi works good, lots of cable channels available and all hookups work fine. Like most military campgrounds, sites are large, level and well maintained with concrete pads. Lots of room for bike riding and dog walking. Fishing pier nearby. There is some aircraft noise; it is a Marine Corps Air Station. Also, the electric and the sewer hookups are placed somewhat oddly; both lines are stretched to max length but it works. One of the best places we have stayed. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Havelock is a typical military town but there are good places to eat. Our favorites are Smithield's Chicken and BarBQ and El Cerro Mexican restaurant, almost next door to each other. Morehead City and Beaufort have a number of good seafood places. Number of beaches and sea shore to explore. North Carolina Aquarium on the road to Emerald Isle is worth seeing.

This is a great park. We stayed here to attend the Seafood Festival in Moorhead City. It just opened last year. Sites are large, concrete pads with plenty of room between sites and include cable. You are close to the water with boat ramp nearby. We would camp here again. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a brand new campground on Pelican Point on Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station. The old one was behind the base exchange, noisy, and located in the middle of the base. This new one has been opened for a little over a year. It is near the golf course and away from the crowds and flight line of the aircraft. Of course, you will still get some aircraft noise; you are on an air station. The park has a small basic essentials store. The sites are on concrete pads, very wide, and level with full hook-ups of 30/50 amps. It has a staffed office, a campground host when the office is closed, clean showers, and a coin laundry with a lounge. The sites include expanded cable and free WiFi. The park is open all year round. Maximum stay is 30 days. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Military active or retired only can stay here. It is a newly redone RV park on the MCAS base. Close to the water, fishing, commissary, BX. Laundry room was spotless and so were the bath rooms and showers. We stayed over Labor Day weekend for 4 days. 5th wheel. Super nice place. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here to visit our son who is stationed at Cherry Point. If it had not been for that we would have left for a campground outside the base. The place was infested with ants that invaded your RV. It was necessary to spray a barrier around your home to keep them out. There was a huge nest of copperhead snakes in the hedge behind our site. Each night they were out looking for snakes. Ten were captured while we were there. They seemed more interested in preserving the snakes than the safety of the people staying there. Small kids played near the hedge daily. Many snakes escaped back into the hedge before the game warden arrived to catch them. The park hosts did not want us to kill them. We stayed 4 nights. The people staying there were very friendly as were the camp hosts. In a commercial campground the problems listed above would have been taken care of immediately. That is my major complaint. The campground is located in walking distance to the commissary and other base features. It was priced right too. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Motorhome.
