A really nice small campground that shows the owners pride in the upkeep. All the utilities are first rate and the grounds are immaculate. That said, the road into the campground is a little bit of challenge, 5 mph maximum. Site was fairly level, which is difficult in Hickory. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great camp ground along the river. Only negative is drive into the campground. Not terrible, but steep and some bumps. Not bad enough to keep anyone from going there. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

First of all, the gravel road leading to the campground is no big deal. After reading other reviews I was expecting far worse. Its just a somewhat steep wide gravel road. There are no low hanging branches and we had no problem entering the camp in a 42 coach towing a car. The key is to just drive slow. The owners are very nice, the campground is well kept and all the sites are level gravel, most are pull thru sites. Utilities were good, water pressure was adequate. Sites are spaced nicely and very long. I had room to park my car in front or in back of my coach. They have some permanent sites, but all are nicely kept. It is a small campground so call ahead for reservations; it is full most nights. You need a gate code to open the electric gate. WiFi worked but was slow, Verizon signal was excellent. It's a short easy drive from I-40 exit 119. I stayed a month so my nightly rate was lower. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

We were traveling on I-40 and needed a one night stay. The campground was located just a short distance off exit 119a so was convenient. With that said the hill is steep to get there but was well worth it. The campground was extremely nice and felt like an oasis of green after a long day on the road. It was clean, very well kept up and everyone was friendly. There was no cable but that was fine with us. We would highly recommend this campground. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This campground isn't for the faint hearted. You follow a road downhill until you come to a gate. There you telephone the office. If there is no vacancy, you still have to enter to be able to turn around. The steep and gravely road is navigable, but might put many people off. That being said, this really is a wonderful campground. We parked in what was considered the overflow, so all I did was back my motorhome up about 30 feet and hook up. The owner was super friendly and the price was spot on (cash only). Plenty of space to walk the dogs. We were close to the office, so WiFi was good. Would return and would recommend to those unafraid of a rather dubious entrance. It's really worth it. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Won't repeat previous good reviews but they are correct. This was our first visit and the dirt road down to the campground had us wondering if we made the right choice, but all was well once we got there. Nice quiet hideaway for short or longer term stays. Would definitely stay again but do make reservations. It is a small campground. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Traveling to visit friends, we completed our first eastbound drive over the mountains on I-40. We had planned to boondock but decided we wanted a restful night. I called and was told no problem, come on down. Once off the interstate, it is a bit twisting and the last mile is a rough road down hill to the valley where the campground is. But once in, it was quick, easy, friendly and pleasant to register and drive to a large pull through site. There are NO RESTROOMS so you must be self contained. We'd been here several years ago and the campground is immaculate and campers/owners friendly Had level site with full hook up and good OTA reception for the TV. This was a one night only stop, but if you are weary and looking for a restful sleep OR if you want to see sights in the area, this is an excellent choice. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice, we'll thought out and executed rv park. Many permanent or semi-permanent residents. Clean. Roomy. Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed a brief stay and would stay longer. Utilities well placed. Long pull through site. Entrance road could use improvement, as others have noted... but if a bumpy road is our biggest problem today, I'd say we're in pretty good shape. Check in was smooth with a nice lady. The roads coming into the park are narrow and in rough shape. Sites are level with the utilities in good working order. The owners appear to be dressing up the campground which could use it overall. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Checked by email 10 days before we needed one night. The owner said they were full but to try back in case of a cancel. Called day before we needed the night and she said come on, we have a nice pull thru for you for the night you need. This is excellent campground service and we appreciated it. Park is small but sites are long (we are over 65 feet). Hook ups are new and placed correctly and work properly. No cable, but they have satellite connections and the OTA antenna picks up about 12 channels. Yes, the road is rough and narrow but just take it easy. We would stop again when in this area. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

A nice, quiet park with very attentive owners. For what it is, we give it a solid 8. Would score it a bit higher with shower / restroom facilities, and a bit of improvement on the entrance road, but a very nice place for an over night stay or a weekend. Be sure to take the short walk down to the river - it's beautiful. Also, a very nice pond a pavilion. As others have mentioned, the road in/out is quite steep and narrow and a little rough in spots. Not to worry, it will certainly handle even the largest of coaches, however I have to wonder what would happen if meeting a 40 ft DP coming the opposite direction. If both coaches are pulling toads, one would have to stop and unhitch. The road is too narrow in spots for two coaches to pass. But then again, that's unlikely to happen in this relatively small park. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Agree with the others and won't repeat the observations. A very nice park that is cared for by very attentive owners. They are very friendly and helpful. They are always working on the park. Grounds are extremely well taken care of. WiFi was very good. Solid Verizon 4G service. They just added 3 pull though sites and 2 back ins. Very quick access to lots of shopping in Hickory. They give a Military discount. Lots of big rigs throughout our 2 week stay. We like this park and will be back. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Motorhome.
