Check in staff was very friendly. We picked up a lot of trash on our site before parking and had to move tables in order to park. Lots of unsupervised children (some barely able to reach the pedals) operating golf carts. On the site next to us a group of teens on spring break without supervision - park staff did talk to them. Did have new lighted electrical pedestals which were nice. Probably will not camp there again. - Dan and Ann

My husband and I camped at Camp Clearwater due to its close proximity to the White Lake Fall Half Iron Man starting/finishing point. The overnight section of the campground was only about 50% full. It took us a little time to get into our site due to it being a tight squeeze between trees. We felt that the spots were a little narrow (we prefer larger, more private sites), but we had room to put out our awning. The utilities were very easy to access, and the site was fairly level. Everyone we met was very friendly, and overall we enjoyed our stay. However, I simply don't understand how they don't accept credit cards..?? I only visited the bathhouse once, and its condition left a little to be desired. Our site location was fairly quiet and relaxing - sites near the trash compactor and/or the main roads definitely would've been more noisy. Bonus for the campground encouraging recycling! We plan to stay at Camp Clearwater again in the future. - Megan McGrath

Let me start by saying the lake is beautiful. Other than that, we were not a big fan of this place. The sites are dirt/grass and close together. We had less than a foot from us and one of our neighbors when our awning was out. Our other neighbor stepped on our sewer hose and busted it (not campgrounds fault but sites are too close and not enough room between). Lots of permanent sites. Kids on golf carts are out of control. Both of our vehicles were hit by either a golf cart or some type of vehicle during our stay. Did not visit the bathhouse but someone in our group said they were nice. We will not stay here again. - rv camping lvr

What a lovely place. So picturesque, quiet and beautiful. Worth the little bit of extra driving if you want to visit North Myrtle Beach. The owners are so very pleasant, and laid back. A good amount of space between campers. Lots to do at the campground, horseshoes, corn hole, pool, wooded trails, and more. PLUS a winery right on property, with beautiful well kept grounds everywhere. Go do a wine tasting, and buy some local honey, jams, and more. Wish we had more time just to hang out at the campgrounds. Next time we will plan for that. The only negative was the dirt roads, and dirt pad. If you have a clean rig or car, you won't after a few days. But it's very well kept and the sites are mostly level. - Diane and Tom

Carrollwoods RV Park and Grapefull Sisters Winery. Tabor City, NC.
Despite the rain, it was a quiet, peaceful stay. Everyone was so friendly. Do the wine tasting....it is all so good. A long history to this property and the grapes they grow. We got a LOT of rain so there was some standing water on the gravel site but the staff worked hard with pumps to get it cleared out. I’ll be back! - Jess25

The roads into the park and in the park are good. We arrived on a Sunday and, even though the office was closed, we were given a friendly greeting and check in was fast. This is a large, well maintained park. A number of permanent/seasonal but all are kept up well. Sites are gravel with a mulch cover for the table area. There is a picnic table and fire ring and trees for shade. Site 78 is a level pull through with full hook ups. No issues with hook ups. It was plenty long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. There is a pool and playground, a stocked fishing pond and vineyards. There are two trails; one is a little overgrown. The best dog park we have encountered, fenced with lots and lots of trees. Laundry and bathrooms were very clean. WiFi was good and Verizon signal strong. We do not watch TV so can't comment on that. We stayed May 6 - 13, 2018 and paid $40 a night - BarrettsHappyTrails

We stayed here on a 4 day weekend in early October. Every weekend of October has Halloween celebrations - be ready for lots of kids trick or treating. This is a very kid oriented park. Lots for children to do activity wise. We arrived on Thursday and had the camp mostly to ourselves but it was packed for the weekend. Many campers had golf carts in frequent use. The pools were clean and the water park play area well kept. The park is about an hour from Myrtle Beach - lots of things to see and do in surrounding area. Would definitely stay here again in off season and school in session. The sites are somewhat close but plenty of room to extend awnings and set out chairs. Had a level concrete pad for our trailer. No problems with noisy neighbors and "quiet time" was quiet. Cable tv worked well and no issues with wifi. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about surrounding area. - dtbriz

We had a great time and a great RV Resort. They have an awesome water park for the kids and 2 other pools including 1 indoors. Everyday they have activities for the kids to do. They even had a surprised birthday for Yogi Bear. The park is very clean and front office very accommodating. The family fished is the very large lake and we met new friends. We booked 2 weeks for next year. - todao772662

Beautiful resort CG. Concrete pad extra long spaces. When arriving at night had to use a flashlight to find our site due to the fact there were no outside lights. Being out of season sparsely populated. Scenic site facing the large pond. This CG is spotless. Nice scenic area to walk and bike ride on very long paths. Small dog park, fence is not 100% secure as the bottom is not in the ground. Two pools and a splash pool. Great to bring the kids who would love the playground. Definitely a destination CG. We only stayed one night as we had reservations in another city but if not for that we would have stayed longer. Staff was helpful to arrange and accommodate our late arrival. IMPORTANT POINT: Put in RICHARD WRIGHT Road in your GPS. We carelessly put in Wright and there is a Wright road also and had to backtrack. l - Sunnie-Wheelhouse

We camped at this place and the owners are very rude. They do not care how they treat people. The bathrooms are dirty. I do not care to stay at this place again. - ncgrl231us
