What a cute little campground off the beaten track. They have a great laundry, shaded pavilion and large fenced dog park. They do not have showers, bath, etc. But this is a great little park, nestled between the mountains, next to a cornfield (and parts of it on a creek). Great, friendly camp hosts and everyone at the campground is great. Definitely one of our favorite places we have visited as FT RVers. Will come back again for sure. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We have come to love Maggie Valley, NC and there are a lot of campgrounds around, but Cross Creek has become our "go to". There are no bath houses so only self-contained rigs. There are many seasonal folks, mostly Floridians who are seeking to escape their hot summers in favor of the cool mountains. There are a few permanent park style homes, but they are all kept prim and neat and the residents that I have met were all very nice. The staff are campers and are very quick to help you park or give advice on what to see and where to go. I've met the owner a time or two and unless he tells you, you would think he is just another friendly camper. There is a road that bisects the two areas of this campground, but it is rarely busy and quiet at night. The creekside is very nice and there is another campground across the creek but the babbling creek all but drowned any noise. All in all, if you want a quiet, relaxing place, there is not much better than a creek side site here! We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

The daily price, is deceiving. It's cheaper to stay the week. $195.00. No bath house or facilities, must be self contained. FHU, great views. They have a creek side, more $$. Spots are close, lot of full timers, but park only open until Oct. nice quiet park. Only one vechicle allowed, they charge $2.00 daily to park in overage lot in field. Few weird rules, but doable going back. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We made reservations for a week, but highly unusualy cold weather occured and after 4 nights we went home. We thoroughly enjoyed the park. Our site had pretty green grass, clean and extremely quiet. There were no fast or loud vehicles driving thru the park. The workcamper there helped us get in our space. He was very polite and helpful. We definitely will return. If you have a big rig then this is the best place in Maggie Valley for you. They advertise big rig pull thrus; however, if it is busy (as it is in the summer and fall) then you are butt to butt in a back in with no wiggle room. My sewer connection was 30 feet behind me! There is no place to park your towed vehicle as I barely fit on my half of the lot. There is nice grass on each site and personnel is extremely visible and willing to assist in any way possible. There is no additional parking for visitors. The older sections are even tighter. But it IS a super location off the main road yet right in town and the views around you are terrific. This makes it worthwhile. No children, no pool or rest room. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice established park in a very quiet location. We spent a week here camping with friends. Facilities are nice and park is very well maintained. Lots to do in the area. Only minor problem was slow wi-fi at times - seemed to be a capacity problem, not signal strength. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park and nice location for activities and events around the mountains. Staff pleasant and present. Compared to our other travels across the USA, this nightly fee was high, considering no pool, no trash pick up, no shower/bath houses, no golf carts allowed, no fire rings except in thin strip of gravel (no paved sites) which puts it too close to rig. Nice loop for bike/walking path. Average, satisfactory park - just not outstanding or extraordinary for the price. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Arrived late in season, just in time for the fall foliage. Campground manager put us in a great site with a mountain view. The campground has very nice Laundry Facilities and Social Room, no Restrooms or Showers but that was just fine with full hookup. Very close to Cherokee and the casino, we found Maggie Valley, The Blue Ridge Parkway, and the surrounding towns (especially Hendersonville) more than enough to occupy our time. Park owner joined a few of us one evening for a small impromptu social...good fun! We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Best value we have found. Excellent location off the main road that is quiet and friendly. We stayed in the newer blue sky sites with gravel base and grass separations. The staff was exceptionally friendly and made us feel very welcome. Although cash only and no bathrooms keep the cost down, there is nothing holding us back from highly recommending this RV park. We had to change our time frame due to a family event and the staff was most accommodating. It is worth noting that this is the best cable we have received at any RV park. We plan to return at some point. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

A nice, quiet park. We stayed in a new area back-in site. The roads and sites are gravel, with large gravel so there is no dust problem. A picnic table is provided. The camp host was very friendly and helpful. The parks is clean and well manicured. We will stay here again. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cross Creek Jon, owner at Cross Creek RV Park responded to this review

Thank you for your review. Jim, our host, is a great guy.
Some people had problems with the sewer location on the new sites, so we worked to fix that this spring, and moved some of them closer. We will do more next spring.
Our WiFi has been a big hit, and became overloaded at peak times, so we doubled our capacity and added another tower and antenna. We are now at 400mb/s in the park. 3mb/s max each connection, enough to stream video. 440 max connections.
AT&T cell is weak in the park, so try the WiFi, it should work.
Thanks again. Hope to see you soon.

Weekly rate was for 50 amp with full hookups. Driveways and the pads were gravel. We were put in a back-in site even though pull throughs were available. I think they were shutting down the pull throughs because the park closes November 1. Utilities are at the back of the site so you need long connections. Water pressure was 50 psi so you need a pressure regulator. There were 64 channels of cable TV including a guide channel, 10 sports channels, 7 black screen with no sound channels and one Spanish channel. We had free, pass worded WiFi service with good strength and good response times. There was a picnic table. Sewer connections were screw in. ATT phone service was 3 out of 5 bars; Verizon was 4 out of 5 bars. Look carefully after dark; the front sign is not lit. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

This price reflects a daily rate. We have stayed at this park before and are impressed with the improvements. The narrow entrance drive has been widened to make it easy for big rigs to enter. The new section has long sites which are designed like pull thrus; however, they can accommodate back to back rigs if necessary. The sites in the new section are more spacious than in the original section. Good 50 amps. A block away from US 19 so no road noise. Adult park with no restrooms or pool. Helpful personnel. Great location to see the surrounding area. We actually saw an elk outside our RV!! Best adult spot in Maggie Valley. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.
