I required a refund and left after had to have law enforcement deal with owner who cursed my 74 year old mother and threatened her because she asked about wi fi (which they don't offer). Rate is not as advertised, and park is trashy; I've seen more gravel on a dirt track. All back in sites if you can find your place. They gave me directions 4 times and I drove for three hours to go 1 mile from where I started. Been camping and RVing for 50 years and worst place I have ever seen and worst people (owner) I ever dealt with. Stay away. - Jvf
Sep 2017 - $40.00
We stayed here for one night in 40' motor home. Person at the desk had no people skills at all. No one helps you find your spot or helps you back in (all lots are back in ) and you need help as spots are small. At $40.00 a night this place is terrible. It is not worth $15.00 a night. - RV Frank
Nov 2016 - $40.00
Sites are small-no fire rings-website says $25/night,but when you get there the sign says 25/night mon-thur-its 40 on weekends-the only thing going for them is the drive in theater. - Reteze

Nice campground, but beware. When we checked in we were given a gate code which we assumed opened the gate for entrance and exit to the park. Little did we know that no such gate exists. We had to make a store run and found ourselves locked out of the park on our first night. Fortunately, we only live about 45 minutes away, otherwise that would have been a disaster. - BrandiCory
Jun 2019 - $21.00
30 amp, W&E sites. Signage throughout the park is poor, had we not stopped at the park HQ we would have had difficulty taking the correct road to the park check-in office. All roads within the campground are gravel and in poor condition with many gullies, ruts etc. There are many tight turns with trees on either side of the road requiring delicate maneuvering if you're in a motor home which is what we have. Our site was not level requiring significant leveling. Over 30 OTA TV stations available from Charlotte. Our WIFI hotspots worked well here. I doubt we would return although it is a nice park there is not much to do here other than hike their trails. The trail to the rustic farm was fine but all the buildings on the "farm" were locked. - Bob & Stephanie
Nov 2017 - $21.00
Fee is for E/W and includes $2.00 transaction fee. Gravel road through park and gravel/dirt sites might make this park a bit dicey in periods of heavy rain. Many sites require a fair amount of leveling, so try to pick your site before paying. Lots of good shade. Good over-the-air TV signals. Verizon OK but on the slow side. Restroom dated but clean. This is a nice park if you are looking for rustic, secluded, and reasonably priced. - aowcarol

This is a jewel of a RV park for an extended stay or a few nights. Does not have a lot of amenities, but is a clean, safe, easy access, place to RV when in the Charlotte area. Very convenient to major roads. Just a few minutes to anything. Owners are wonderful people who care about providing a good park. Family run and operated. The price is the best in the area and includes electricity on extended stays. Charlotte International Airport is nearby and park is near landing path, but seeing the planes come in is neat. - Cme4RV
Mar 2015 - $30.00
The price here is very low, which might be a plus. The bathroom, which is basically inaccessible to most of the RV spots, is also the worst we've seen on our entire trip around the country. It looked like a bombed-out tool shed and wasn't stocked with any TP, soap, etc.
As reported in several other reviews, the husband is a very difficult and unhappy person. Unfortunately, his wife runs everything and is often gone, so you very likely will have to deal with him. Everything we communicated with the office was lost, confused, or not passed on to the appropriate person.
Others report an OK, stay, and I can see that happening if you can avoid dealing with the office and don't mind using your own RV's bathroom/shower. If so, might be worth a look. Otherwise, no way. We certainly won't be back. - 5thWheelAroundTheCountry
May 2014 - $25.00
They take cash only, hmmm that was very interesting. Also, good luck trying to level. I have a 40 ft motorhome and I got nowhere near level after 30 minutes of trying. Watch out for the speed bumps on the east side of the property. They are impossible to hit straight so everything in your refrigerator and cabinets will be thrown around big time. No use in returning to this one. - Johnnyboy21

RV sites are supposedly FHU however you have to wonder what they were thinking with the locations of some of the sewers. Also front to back levels of some of the RV sites are way off. We had to back into a pull-through site because of trees. Like many, this is a pre large RV & slide out park. If you are adaptable & carry what is needed for leveling, no real big deal. - Veebyes
Jul 2019 - $44.00
Beautiful campsites that were a little difficult to level but nothing terrible. It’s nice that the bathrooms were all individual but definitely need some renovation and could be cleaner - Lunamoth
Apr 2018 - $33.00
Easy reservations and check in. Our site was level and clean, close to other campers but not claustrophobic. Pretty hiking trails of various lengths and difficulty. Lots of kids but quiet at night. Close to town but feels somewhat remote. Faint traffic noise. - rudyhehn

Very nice quiet park. I was in site 2 under tall pines so it was pretty shaded and appreciated on a 90 degree day. Leveling was easy and the utilities worked well. Waterview site at the top of the hill. No way to get Direct TV. - mrracechaser

We had our brand new 5th Wheel delivered to this park and set up while we waited for our truck to be outfitted for us to hauls our 5th Wheel. The staff at this park began getting phone calls from me planning and coordinating this process a month before arrival and they treated me like a Queen. Every single one of them were knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and reliable. From planning to execution everything went off without a hitch. The park is clean and well maintained. It is a small campground at the City Reservoir. We will always stay here when we return to visit friends in the area. - SuzieMcCann

Oct 2019 - $31.00
Very nice park in a pretty woodsy setting on a lake. We had a pull through site which was just long enough for our motorhome and toad. The motorhome was level but the toad was tilted downhill. We were only there overnight so I wasn't too concerned but would not recommend this particular site for longer stays. The site is narrow and your picnic/sitting area is actually on the other side of the road. No satellite available but cell signal was adequate and we were able to pull in local TV stations out of Charlotte. - CandyK
Aug 2019 - $31.00
Small campground with 71 FHU rv sites which are a mix of 20, 30 and 50 amps with picnic table and fire ring. There are 4 pull through sites and the remainder are back ins. One side of the park (sites 1-30) is in an open area with few trees, while the other side has lots of trees and shade. All sites are gravel over a dirt base, but vary in length, levelness and spaciousness. Interior roads are gravel in the campground loops and paved in the remaining areas, but are easy enough to navigate. We were in site 32, a very long back in site with water views at the back of the site which was mostly level. We stayed in this same site 2 years ago and had power issues, and this time the issues were much worse. Our hardwired surge protector tripped daily due to high voltage (130 volts) on the 50 amp plug. It also showed an unbalanced load between both legs of the circuit. Park rangers changed out the breaker and the plug (they did so 2 years ago too), but it did not solve the problem. We had no choice but to use the 30 amp plug. Nice ranger station with small store inside. Bathroom had 5 toilets and 3 showers per gender and was kept clean. Amenities here include a boat launch, playground, swimming area, basketball court, volleyball court and several picnic shelters with stand up grills. Free unsecured wifi but it was pretty much useless even when the park was empty. No laundry facilities. No alcohol of any kind is allowed in the park, but discreet consumption is possible. No cable, but there were plenty of OTA channels. Overall, a decent park but we would not return due to the power issues. If you stay here, make sure you have a surge protector! - RVIN 24-7
May 2019 - $31.00
We stayed in site #59. It was fairly level and nicely shaded. The sewer hookup for our site was located towards the front of the site. We didn't have additional hoses, so we could only dump the tanks once we moved the camper forward as we were leaving. Still more convenient than waiting in line at a dump station. I believe that sites 40 & up are located away from the lake view, but are decent sized, gravel, and are all mostly shaded. The sites located on the lake side do have a distant view of the lake, but the sites do appear to be very close and there is no shade available. The sites do have sewer hookups, but the connection was located at the front of the site, so unless you have extra hoses, you will need to wait before hooking up to dump your tanks. This wasn't really an issue for us as we only stayed for 2 nights, but I could see where this would be an issue for larger groups staying for a longer period of time (you might want to call the park staff and ask about other sites). The campground was clean, quiet and was located very close to Rock Hill and Charlotte. Will definitely make another trip in the near future. - FlowerChild7275

Easy to access via major roads. Interior roads are manageable for any size rig. Site was adaquate. Asphalt paved base surrounded grass/dirt/mud. Our 50 amp electric worked but the breakers were literally falling out. The staff member called maintenance, who came within the hour and replaced the breakers. Water and sewer worked well. Laundry room was small, 2 washers/2 dryers. Restrooms were clean. Staff provided local info upon check in which was useful. There is aircraft noise. Could depend prevailing winds but they were busy during pur stay. Park is close to Charlotte, 10-15 min drive to Uptown without traffic. - DJR CMR
Sep 2019 - $46.00
We stayed here 2 nights and had a very nice stay. We used the laundry, it was small. The lodge and office are very cute with a log cabin look. The park was very clean and the sites were spacious. We had a pull through site that was good for our 42 foot motor home and toad. Our site had a picnic table and charcoal grill. - rwalsh
May 2019 - $46.00
Stayed here for a week. Check in was a breeze. Full hook up with 30 amp service. Water pressure was steady and good. Electric was also steady. Used this as a base camp as I had business in Charlotte. The amusement park was closed the Mon., Tues. & Wed. of my visit. Didn't need it but there was a shuttle to the park. It was basically deserted in the section I stayed being the park was closed. Nice pull through site but vehicle (F150) and trailer (26') just fit. Disconnected as was necessary for my travels. Very clean campground and bathrooms. Security as well. Site was asphalt but picnic table was a cement slab. Site also had a charcoal grill. Wifi was descent but had my own wifi (Verizon) and it was perfect. Got quite a few digital TV stations. If you have kids this would be perfect. There was also a pool but not sure about hours or lifeguards. - coffeebiker

Nov 2019 - $58.00
Our site was very muddy. It could use a load of gravel. The camp roads were one big pothole.
For the price I expected the cable TV to work. Propane fill hours are not convenient for a morning check out. The signage for check in is confusing. We weren’t sure if if we went to the little house or convenient store. - BenniRV
Oct 2019 - $51.00
Big rig friendly with level sites. Easy on and off to highway. Checkin is a little confusing because you check in at the convenience store. Showers, WiFi, and dog park was good. No cable but no problem with our satellite. Convenient overnight stay. - Fulltimersrv
Sep 2019 - $53.00
Just off I-75. Found it a bit confusing to find office. The office was closed, but is really the gas station in front of the campground. Pull through sites are really back-ins that are first used as pull throughs then the next person gets the back in to the rear. Lots of OTA stations. Only 2 bars Verizon but did work on voice and data. FHU's to side rear. Good water pressure and EMS ok. No cable. Wifi worked, slow with Ranger. Camp store is really the gas station in the front open late and sold wine. Had escort to site. Small dog park. Lots of the sites had cement pads, ask for one--they may be a bit small for large rv's but the gravel sites were level. Many sites sat friendly, if you have a portable it may work, I had no problem with portable Dish network on my site. It is a Journey KOA, so good for an overnight stop. Staff were nice. Would stay here just overnight or for seeing Charlotte. - wtravlr1

Sep 2019 - $19.00
This is a small park with only 36 sites and mostly back in. They are adding 6-9 new pull through sites. We only stayed in the park one night but would have stayed longer except the park was full and I understand why. Good wifi, 100 channel cable, good electric and water, and a friendly helpful staff. Many sites surrounded by trees but our site #7 was a pull through with only a few trees and a beautiful view of sunset. Quiet park also however I did a few trains but they were far enough away to not bother us. They accept Passport America. - RayN
Jul 2019 - $30.00
This park was about 90% full timers, but all sites were kept very clean. The entire grounds were clean and very inviting. There was no pool, playground or bathhouse, but we didn't find that an issue. We used the park as a one night stop, but would return in a heart beat as we had excellent service. The owner was out of town when we arrived so someone else was there to check us in. He wasn't aware they accepted Passport America as a discount. That was fine as the rates were good. A couple of days later the owner texted me to say we should have received the discount and offered to send us the difference. That was a gold star in my books. - Georgiagirl10
Nov 2018 - $25.00
Stayed here for three nights. Used Passport America discount for the first night and received 10% off the next two nights. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. He showed us to our site and helped us get lined up with hook-ups. Lots of full-time sites or workers in the area. - Lorie Lee Spark2skip

The rate included 3 different taxes. The park has several run down full time rv'ers. The shower curtain in the ladies restroom has mildew on it. The sites are so uneven it was impossible to level our trailer. It was very narrow with no room to sit outside. We missed the street and called for directions and the young lady who answered the phone could not give us any information. Just read us the directions from the interstate. She finally gave me to the manager. We would not return to this RV park. Very expensive for such poor quality. - normdave
Aug 2019 - $42.00
This campground has permanent residents. Many dilapidated RVs that should have been gone long ago. Spaces are very small. We have to step out carefully so we don't fall down the hill. No room to sit outside and enjoy. Playground is old and unsafe. Construction of apartment Complex is only a few feet away. 5 minutes from Charlotte North Carolina. - Likeorlove
Jun 2018 - $47.00
Park was hilly and not very accessible. Mostly a trailer park. Overnighters get put next to the road with no shade or grass. - Geno1986
