My husband and I, plus our Scottish terrier stayed here for 4 nights. This is not an RV resort. It is a very nice RV campground. All roads and sites are dirt (sand) and rock. Sites are level and took little time to stabilize with jacks. They dry out fast after rain. The grounds are very nice and well maintained. You feel you are in a coastal forest. Sites are 45 feet wide so we had room to spread out. There is a very large wooded dog run that is also well-maintained. In fact they raked up the leaves in it while we were there. Each site has WiFi and it was good enough to stream. It is very quiet yet close enough to drive to beaches or Calabash for seafood (everywhere seemed to be 15 to 20 miles away). Beaches had the bigger chain supermarkets. We encountered no problems and everyone was very friendly. We don't watch much TV, but picked up at least 20 channels with our antenna. Cable was available if you purchase the use of their cable box ($3 I think). You do have to take your trash to the dumpster at the entrance. Many of the sites are long-term, but all of them were clean and neat and had quiet friendly people. Disconnect your tow vehicle at the office when you check in. Use a regulator for your water hookup-they have strong water pressure. We will definitely stay there again if in that area. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tabor City has a Food Lion, and there is a small grocery/hardware store 2.5 miles away. Check out the on-site winery. There is free parking at Ocean Isle Beach but I was told North Myrtle is $2/day to park.

What a lovely place. So picturesque, quiet and beautiful. Worth the little bit of extra driving if you want to visit North Myrtle Beach. The owners are so very pleasant, and laid back. A good amount of space between campers. Lots to do at the campground, horseshoes, corn hole, pool, wooded trails, and more. PLUS a winery right on property, with beautiful well kept grounds everywhere. Go do a wine tasting, and buy some local honey, jams, and more. Wish we had more time just to hang out at the campgrounds. Next time we will plan for that. The only negative was the dirt roads, and dirt pad. If you have a clean rig or car, you won't after a few days. But it's very well kept and the sites are mostly level. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Carrollwoods RV Park and Grapefull Sisters Winery. Tabor City, NC.
Despite the rain, it was a quiet, peaceful stay. Everyone was so friendly. Do the wine tasting....it is all so good. A long history to this property and the grapes they grow. We got a LOT of rain so there was some standing water on the gravel site but the staff worked hard with pumps to get it cleared out. I’ll be back! We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

The roads into the park and in the park are good. We arrived on a Sunday and, even though the office was closed, we were given a friendly greeting and check in was fast. This is a large, well maintained park. A number of permanent/seasonal but all are kept up well. Sites are gravel with a mulch cover for the table area. There is a picnic table and fire ring and trees for shade. Site 78 is a level pull through with full hook ups. No issues with hook ups. It was plenty long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. There is a pool and playground, a stocked fishing pond and vineyards. There are two trails; one is a little overgrown. The best dog park we have encountered, fenced with lots and lots of trees. Laundry and bathrooms were very clean. WiFi was good and Verizon signal strong. We do not watch TV so can't comment on that. We stayed May 6 - 13, 2018 and paid $40 a night We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

My wife and I have stayed at this park three times and are planning to go back next month. It is such a pleasant, quite place. It is basically an RV park carved out of a beautiful pine forest. My only small complaint is that I wish the roads in the park were wider as well as more space in the turns. It sometimes takes a little planning to make sure that you can clear the trees and get out without hitting something. The first time I ended up disconnecting the toad to get out. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

One of the best parks I have stayed in. All large pull through sites. Very well spaced. Owner is extremely helpful. Suggested areas to travel to as well as local restaurants. Stayed on my way to FL and again on my way back. Little of the beaten track but a great place for a few days or a few weeks. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

The $10 price reflects C2C. This family owned campground a few miles south of Tabor City, is a must. Full hookups with pull thru sites. This campground is nestled in the heart of tobacco farmland. This was one of the most peaceful and quiet campgrounds we have ever stayed in. We are definitely going back. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

There is a winery on site, The Grapefull Sisters, with exceptional wine tasting. Not only do you taste the fine muscadine wine you also sample their gourmet products so as salad dressings, hot sauce and jellies.

Overall Rating:

Nestled in a forested area just a bit southeast of Tabor City, North Carolina, Carrollwoods provides a peaceful, quiet escape from the madding crowd of Myrtle Beach. Located a mere 3.5 miles from the NC / SC Boarder and only minutes from the area's beach activities, Carrollwoods RV Park combines Cadillac Service with a Pick Up Truck Price. Less expensive than the huge, corporate RV Parks on Myrtle Beach, this family owned and operated RV park provides all the amenities needed for an overnight stay, a weekend getaway or a seasonal camper. Plenty of trees dispersed across large, level sites, with a robust cable channel selection - combined with a strong Wi-Fi Signal - make this park one of the best values throughout the area. Endless hot water in the extremely clean shower / restroom areas, a fishing pond and swimming pool round out these excellent accommodations. Not only would we stay here again. We plan to do so next year on our return to the area. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Have posted before, but want to update again. Cannot say enough good things about the hands-on ownership. They really care. Yes, the office is closed on Sunday (due to their faith) but has never been a problem. They are involved with the campers, but never intrusive. The CG itself - clean, very well maintained, and it shows. Nice new camp store well stocked with necessities. Bath house is wonderful - very private facilities and always very clean. Sites are NOT tight and are, finally, mostly leveled out with a good stone base. Each has fire ring, picnic table, and most still have charcoal grills. Yes, it is 'out there', but the office will share a good map to lead to Tabor City and all you need (no more than about 15 minutes away). It's location affords a peace and quiet not found in most of the MB area CGs. We are able to use our Sat TV (we ask for a site that gives access) and have never had a problem with our Verizon phone reception. WiFi has improved - still not real fast, but good enough for our purposes. The pool is wonderful, and there is a playground for the kids. What makes this CG among our favorites is the friendly nature of the owners that flows over to those who stay here. Never an issue with loud neighbors all hours of the night. Price shows PA discount. If you're looking for a 'get away' with few hassles and privacy - this CG is for you! We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Price reflects C2C membership. Campground was very easy to find. Sites are close together, but because there are trees throughout; the sites don't feel as close as they actually are. There was plenty of room in the site for the truck, 5th wheel and jeep. They easily handle big rigs. Gravel roads through the campground. Sites are all very level. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring and grill. The campground is about 30 minutes from Myrtle Beach-but it is so quiet it is like being in a different world. Verizon coverage is ok, there were times throughout our visit that the signal was lost-but it was only temporary. We were able to get DirecTV satellite. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful little park in the country run by very friendly owners. Sites are still fairly new and could use more frequent grading. Tight turns for big rigs, but manageable. Utilities are new and excellent as was the WiFi. We didn't opt for the $4/day cable TV. We easily picked up over 20 channels with our antenna. Office closed on Sunday and office hours fairly limited otherwise. Phone calls went unanswered but we just took a chance and popped-in. Glad we did. Very quiet atmosphere and only half-hour drive to Myrtle Beach.

Excellent value at PA rate although it wasn't a true 50% off. This is becoming a much too common trend that we think hurts a campground's reputation and isn't worth the extra couple dollars they receive. No one wants to feel like they've been "nickeled and dimed".

Highly recommend this campground and we would return in a heartbeat! We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed here during the holiday weekend. This is a small family owned camp ground and the workers are very nice and helpful;. They wen tout of there way to ensure I had cable. I wasn't able to get strong cell phone signal, however they had good WiFi for a camp ground. The CG is not paved the roads are dirt/gravel. They have a nice walking trail. The CG seems to have a lot of full time campers however they kept there sites decently clean. I would camp here again. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very warm and inviting welcome from staff and camp host. We found the winery station onsite a plus, wine tasting was a big hit. Staff at the winery house were very friendly. We found this to be a small park, which needs some TLC. The park has some hiking trails, however, the trails, leaves and shrubbery at the park need some maintenance. Many campers were long term, and these RV's appeared really rough, which presented a negative look on the park. Wi-Fi was weak and not reliable. DirecTV (free standing satellite) had no issue. Verizon phones were able to get a 3g signal. Some leveling was needed, as our site was located on sand/dirt. Water pressure was strong, use regulator. Pull through sites are available. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice quiet getaway. This is a relatively new park and a "work in progress". Family run (along with the on-site winery) and is in the expanding stage, Only about 40 sites complete out of a planned 160 or so. Camp store/office is new. Pool is small but refreshing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Sites are new therefore, soft and some leveling may be required. Cell phone (sprint) close to nonexistant, cable box available at the office for $2/nite. Not close to shopping and in a "dry county" (other than wine) so, make sure you have your "supplies" prior to arriving. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
