We were pleasantly surprised with this campground. Out site was an easy pull through with full hookups. The campground is right on US 301, but we were not bothered by the road noise. The ponds, ducks and donkeys are cute. We did not use any of the other facilities. Good value. We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Motorhome.

This is fine for an overnight spot. It's small and filled with permanent residents. Only a few spots up front reserved for transients. There is (or was) a mini golf course and it looks great on the website but it's in complete disrepair and is unusable. There is a small pool but nowhere to get out of the sun as there are no umbrellas. We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Most of the buildings are old and in need of a coat of paint but are otherwise in good working order. The grounds were well kept. The utilities were conveniently located and the gravel pad was pretty level. The park is very quiet and appeared to have a lot of long term residents. Some staff were friendlier than others but it was the end of a nearly 100 degree day. The park is easy to access but there were some low bridges on the man road. We were able to get there with our fifth wheel so I don't believe any normal RV would have an issue but the first one made me a bit nervous. We didn't really use the facilities but I would definitely stay again while traveling. We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice little side of the road rv park. Grounds are well kept. Could use a bit more gravel on the sites and roads. Nose beware, the office is also a bait shop - and, it smells like a bait shop. After check in, everything was good. We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Motorhome.

This is an older "Mom and Pop" campground that has a lot of full timers whose RV's need some TLC. The park itself is clean and the grass sites are plenty long to stay hooked up and very level. Our site had a patio, picnic table and fire pit. Wi-fi but no cable, play area, pool, old mini golf and best of all DONKEYS !!!!! They were very friendly and loved to be petted! This is a good park for an overnight stay. We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice RV park!! For overnight stay, a bit off the freeway, however I think it was worth the ride. Nice staff who were ready and very willing to help with anything you needed. Sites were very nice with new fire rings in place. Long-term residents at this park. We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Motorhome.

No, they are no longer Passport. But $31.50 with a GoodSam discount did not seem high to us. We were escorted to our pull-thru, full sun, full service campsite. The picnic tables need replacing, but that is our only quibble here. We've been here before, and we will be back! We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Motorhome.

We only stayed one night on our way south, trying to escape winter storm Helena. The campground was covered in snow and ice. It looked like a pleasant place although it is right on the highway. The wifi reception was excellent. We paid for full hook up but couldn't use the sewer connection because the cap on the RV was frozen shut. We also couldn't use the water connection because of freezing temperatures. We did put water into our onboard tank. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly locals own it. Golf cart leads you to your site and they stay until you are satisfied with the site and in it OK. We have a 41' and tow a crew cab F150. Was only stopping for the night and the pull through was so big I did not even have to unhook and still had 10 feet left in from of motor coach. Free bundle of fire wood for the stacked stone fire pit. Donkey coral in back with four donkey's that you can pet through the fence. We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

A good park. Only complaint is the rate. $35 advertised on website for 30/50 amp full hookup site. Actual rate ("She went up LONG ago," said office staff.) is $45. Still not a bad deal if using PA ($22.50) but wish I had had this information to factor into my decision to stay here for 6 nights. This is maybe a $35 a night undiscounted rate park but definitely not a $45 one. Interestingly the web site does list $45 for a 100 amp site. Never heard of that electric service for an RV before. I have to wonder what my rate would have been if I had not mentioned PA. Lot spacing was spacious with some shade. Site surface is gravel featuring a fire ring, picnic table and patio. We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Dont let the looks from the road fool you--this is a pretty nice park. Nice in that it is well maintained--maintenance was busy with various projects around the park while I was there-- it is older but they are not letting it feel old. The sites are roomy with a patio, picnic table and fire ring. My spot was perfectly level and hookups were easy. It is a busy park but everyone's site was tidy with no shabby looking units and it is very quiet. I was parked in the middle of the park and I could hear some of the highway noise if I was outside or had my door open but it was not intrusive. Minimal artificial light at night. Access to the park is pretty easy but depending on which direction you are coming from you might have to go several miles once you get off your highway. Nice washers and dryers in laundry room at a great price. Plenty of grassy areas to walk my dog. I would definitely stay here again if I should be coming back through Wilson. Before booking we check passport america website and their website to verify their rate. They do not give the Passport America rate, we only needed a 30 amp and paid the higher rate. Pictures not as per their website. Old campground, not well maintained. Old washrooms and not very clean. Washer and dryer newer and clean. A lot of old campers or rv's on site with seasonal friendly campers, not like the staff. Noise from Hwy 301 and from the trains running not far from the park. We would not stay here again. This is a basic RV Park and probably the best for the area. Not a lot of shade but sites were flat, gravel, and very decent spacing. The store was a little worn for wear but the staff is very helpful and friendly. WiFi is weak - nothing new.
My wife did laundry (no a/c) - but, got it done. Our Mini Schinauzer enjoyed the collection of Donkeys.
We stayed here mainly on reviews from this site and I would stay here again if in the area. Wilson is a great little town - love the Whirlygigs! We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

When we first drove into the park we were worried about what we had reserved because the office building is a little run down; however, when we actually got into the park we were very pleased. The sites were very spacious, had a concrete pad with a table, and plenty of shade. The campground was very well maintained and the staff was extremely nice. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars were the office building appearance and the fact that the pool was not in service. We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
