Overall Rating:

This is an excellent, very clean, KOA park, with pea gravel roads and sites. Nice grass and several large shade trees located between moderate width sites. This site was long enough for us. Very nice Pet Walk area and cute dog park. Lots of walk area all around the park as well. The office staff were most gracious and drove us to our site. Very clean restrooms, showers & laundry. No Cable but received very clear 18 Antenna major channels plus wife's favorite "MeTV". PLUS, their park map includes a Fuel Discount (8 cents a gallon off) coupon for Exxon or Cenex fuel near the park! We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

"Bismarck Heritage Center" (2 miles away) arrived at 11:30 am. Well, let me tell you...this place is FABULOUS. There are 4 sections on the 1st floor that house dinosaurs, native Indians, pioneers, and current folks. "Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center" is well worth the 45 min drive to Washburn The main visitors building is beautiful and filled with actual antiques (handwritten travel logs, medicine, tools, clothing, narratives, etc.), and detailed explanations of what one sees.

We stayed two nights. Site was level, not quite long enough for our truck and trailer. Lots of trees and we were able to find an opening for our sat TV. Wifi was good but slow during peak usage hours. Our Verizon phone worked fine. We found the road noise from the adjacent highway (not I-94) to be a slight bother. Mature bushes between sites shield view of neighbor's sewer hookup. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The park is about a mile north of I-94, so there is easy access to the highway, without the traffic noise. After checking in, we were guided to our site. The interior roads and sites were gravel. Their roads were wider then a lot of parks we have seen. Our site had a lot of trees, so our satellite TV didn't work, but OTA TV worked well. Their wi-fi was good, and we had no problems with it, and didn't have to use our hot spots. AT&T cell service worked well. All the hook-ups were easy to find and easy to get connected. We would stay here again. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice RV park located one mile from I-94 and just off the highway. Easy check in and escort to site. Interior roads and sites are gravel. There are both back-in and pull-through sites with a variety of hook-ups and all are level. Most sites are shady but there are a few near the entrance that are open and satellite friendly. Bathrooms and laundry room were modern and clean. There is a fenced dog park and lots of green space for walking a dog. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The staff here is excellent and very responsive. This was a one night stay. Sites vary - some with full hook up (some are 30amp and some are 50amp), some with electric/water, some with electric only and some with no hook ups at all. We parked at the entrance to the park, but drove through the park and thought it was nice. The old beat-up truck 'For Sale' at the entrance doesn't do this park any favors. Overall, this park was average and okay for a 1-2 night stay. They do sell propane ($3 gal.) we did play tennis on a court that looked to be an ancient asphalt parking lot, but we laughed and enjoyed it. Seemed like a great park for kids. Park is on a two lane highway, but the noise didn't bother us. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to the freeway and excellent for a one night stay. They give a 8 cent off coupon for fuel which saved us $7 since our fuel was on empty. If you book in advance you can get a site with trees, but it's old school, meaning a little tight and close.

Stayed with these folks for just one night after leaving Minot. Escorted to our site which is always appreciated! Tight interior roads but able to navigate with no trouble. Site was well shaded, satellite friendly, nice grass with level gravel. Perfect hooks ups with good water pressure. Park very clean and landscaped well. It is a really nice KOA. We would definitely stay again! We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here overnight. Very nice older park, with pretty wide sites. Camp K-9 was a huge success with9our two dogs. Quiet and easy to get to from the highway. They had coupons for discounts at two different gas stations nearby. Dining and grocery nearby as well. Would stay here again. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was well layed out with the longer stays in the back further from the road. Park is close to the road but the noise level is not to bad. Grocery and supplies are ample and close by. Campground WIFI was not good. Verizon service was fine. Satellite was easy to hook up. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice enough park close to shopping, service stations and restaurants. Sites were adequate, easy to maneuver the roads inside the park and the pool was clean. The dog park was worthless as it was all dirt but there is a nice grassy dog walk along the back of the park. There is a busy road that runs next to the park but we didn't notice traffic noise where we were parked in the middle of the park. While in Bismarck, be sure to make time to walk the paved path that follows the Missouri River for several miles while making its way through several parks - quite nice! This surely was originally not a KOA as there was some space between sites and our site had hedges between it and the ones next to it. Not a fan of KOAs but this one was nicer. Friendly staff who helped us to our site. We have a 38' 5th wheel and got in and out easily, although we did have to park our truck sideways in the front. We did not use the Wifi but used our Verizon hot spot no problems. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
