Love camping here. They have 2 play grounds, an 18 hole golf course, 2 shower houses, a store that sells wood, ice and ice cream treats, tons of trees! Camp sites along the water.

It’s beautiful and close to town. We camped at General Sibley Island Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Neat, clean, spacious, and very quiet during the week this time of year. Lots of trees and near Missouri River. We have stayed here many times in the last 50 years. Well maintained. We camped at General Sibley Island Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

The sites are electric only. We camped on a Thursday, but had to move because the weekend was entirely reserved. It is a nice site about 5 miles south of town, but popular in the summer. There was no wifi. We camped at General Sibley Island Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Only reason for a #8 rating is the lack of water and dump at the site. There is water and dump as you enter or leave the grounds which only becomes and issue when you are here for 6 days as we were. Wooded large sites and very quiet. I did use the site showers and they are very clean. We camped at General Sibley Island Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The park is sprawling, shady lawns along the Missouri River. Single lane roads with trees and bushes were a bit tight in a few places for our motorhome, but we managed. Our pull-thru site was very large. Many sites are quite spread out from neighbors, so it's possible to have peace and quiet. Satellite can be a challenge with the large trees. We will definitely stay here again. Paved roads, gravel sites with grass, fire pits, picnic tables. There are paths to walk to the river. We camped at General Sibley Island Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

A very large campground that is very spacious and clean. Our site was shady. Plenty of open space to walk our dogs. We arrived late and left early. We camped at General Sibley Island Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very large city park. Stop and register at office when you enter. We were offered a choice of pull through or back-in sites. Some are paved, some gravel. All those I saw were reasonably level. Lots of trees for shade but also lots of open mowed grassy areas with good spacing between sites. We were offered a double pull through that was perfect for us and our traveling companions. It was easily 200' long. There are 2 dump stations near the entrance as well as locations for filling the FW tank. We were there mid week and while there were many others using the campground, the size of the place made it feel like you were the only ones there. We camped at General Sibley Island Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground with lot of shade and acres of mowed grass. This is a wonderful place for self-contained RVs, and only about three miles from town. 50 and 30 amp hookups at 114 sites that will accommodate even the longest RVs. Most site pads are paved, some gravel. Negatives are too few restrooms, and water is available only at the two dump stations. But, really, this is a wonderful park for an overnight stay or a few days, right along the Missouri River. It fills up on summer weekends, but is quiet mid-week. There's a boat ramp and disc golf course. We camped at General Sibley Island Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

For a city campground, this was one of the best we have stayed. The sites were generous in size, but what is great about this place is the open green space throughout the park! There are 2 restrooms/showers in the campground, and other pit toilets. We parked near the shower which was clean. They had recycle and garbage bins adequately placed throughout the park and even provided dog poop bags so there is no excuse not to pick up after your pup. I would stay here again! We camped at General Sibley Island Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
