3 RV Parks near Cavalier, North Dakota
Sep 2019 - $32.00
Just west of Calvalier, ND is the Gunlogson State Nature Preserve and dammed up Tongue river with a nice visit-nature-history-office, with five historic buildings including the beautiful Hallson Icelandic Lutheran church, all you can enter. The Icelandic State park CG cost is $25/day plus $7/each day fee, so $32/day actually. The CG has three loops, plus a primitive cg area. the bathhouses in two of the loops were already closed in mid-September. All three looked externally very nice. All the mostly gravel sites are pull through arcs by the paved roads with electricity. Most sites are slanted side to side some. There are scattered water faucets by the roads, all most all needing about a 20 foot plus hose to get to. There is a entrance area dump. Lots of bass and bur oaks trees. There is the large Renwick lake with rental boats in season. Easy biking about. - 210jem

What a pretty park. There's a nice little museum in the visitor's center -both inside and outside. The county has a museum across the street that's quite good. The campground itself it clean, the sites are huge, and there are enough trees to keep it fairly private. Our site was a very short walk from the beach where we rented kayaks for a very reasonable amount. Paddling around the lake was very pleasant. Safe place for kids to swim. We could have easily stayed here a week or two. - Rver at heart

All interior roads are asphalt and in good condition. Sites are a mix of gravel, dirt and grass. All sites are electric and water only, although there is a dump station on the way out. There is a nice beach with a concession stand that operates on a limited schedule. - Fun finders
Jun 2019 - $20.00
Planned on staying here when traveling to Winnipeg Canada. Checked it out and did NOT stay. Campground was not what we expected. Sites were a combination of gravel/grass sites that were not maintained. Campground was a mess - would not recommend this park to anyone though its close to Canada. Gave it a 3 because close to Canada. - SWAMP
Jul 2016 - $20.00
This is a county RV park adjacent to park, playground, and ball field, and on the river. 30 amp only, but water and sewer connections. Nothing going on while we were here, but it might get crowded if there were ball games. - DYK 640

This is a standard city park campground. Sites are side by side and space is tight if another camper pulls in next to you. On the plus side, the grass is thick and you don't have to worry about tracking in a lot of mud if it rains. Also, if you are hungry, try getting a sandwich at the café at the golf course. It's open to the public and while the menu is mostly sandwiches, fries, etc., the food is good. We will stay here again if we find ourselves in Pembina. - Bobbi1948
