Loved this campground. Have a choice of full hookup in the upper camp with spacious side by side sites or the loops which give a choice of wooded or open grassy pull throughs with water and electric. Group sites also available. A fisherman's paradise with boat ramp and fish cleaning station. Very well maintained, clean and the staff was friendly. Easy to check in at the office/store. Wood, also available. We decided to stay an extra day. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Motorhome.

True price is $32 per night for RV and $7 per night for towed vehicle. You can buy an annual ND state park car pass for $35. Good grassy space between campsites and level gravel pull thru pads with 50amp/water/sewer. Sewer hook at back end of spot so bring extra sewer hose. Some hiking trails, but this is mostly a fishing destination. Fun to watch the anglers at the boat ramp near sundown each day. Cheap entertainment. Clear sky for satellite reception. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Great campground for big rigs. We were in Larosa with full hookups. A little out of the way but was so worth it. We had planned on going to the casino campground, but the reviews were not so good there. We were there midweek during the off season so had noproblem getting a space, although it's my understanding that this is a very popular place on the weekends., especially for fishing. We would definitely go back if we ever come this way again. Price was $30 to camp, but then they also charge you for your car. Didn't like that part. Space was very long, utilities are a little odd in that sewer is greatly separated from electric. So long stretch for one: either sewer or electric. 50 amp service. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed in the 'Howard' loop. Large sites separated by brush and trees. 30 amp electric and water. The Ziebach loop is also spread out with large sites but more open. The 'LaRose' section is the newest with large parallel sites and full hookups (50amp, water, & sewer). The trees are growing quickly and providing some shade in these newest sites. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice State Park, friendly staff, beautiful lake, walking paths, and for those who fish, it is top notch. We would definitely stay here again passing through. Friendly helpful staff. $39.00 seems a little pricey, no discounts offered that I could find. Pretty much out in the boon docks, but very nice and peaceful. Nice camp store (brand new) for all your needs. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful state park that is truly "away from it all" on an island in the middle of Devil's Lake. The lake is apparently great for fishing, but it's not great for swimming. Tons of visible algae made it pretty unappealing. That said, we enjoyed walks, short bike rides, and kayaking along the shore. We stayed two nights in the LaRose section of the park, which is the newest, and one night in the Howard. (Comments about our site, below, are for the LaRose site).

The LaRose is wide open with only small trees, but the spots are very spacious and the Verizon connection was surprisingly good (3 bars) considering how far away the island is from any town (15 miles). They are constructing a new building at one end of the LaRose campground, so there was a bit of construction noise during the day. Our site in the Howard section was gorgeous: totally private, in the woods under huge trees and surrounded by large shrubs. The downside is that there were more mosquitoes and the Verizon signal was spottier (generally 1 bar). Most sites in the park are huge, with ample space for a camper, truck, and boat. The park office has extensive fishing supplies, bug spray supplies (you'll need them), and a bit of food and drink (not much). One nice park feature we took advantage of was the onsite gasoline pump. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a boater's and fisherman's dream! The park has three RV sections (not including the primitive area with no power, no water, no sewer). Ziebach Campground, the oldest, has 50A and water, and is like camping on a golf course, with broad and manicured lawns and pull thru sites good for most big rigs. Howard Campground, the second oldest, is like Turtle River State Park, with sites located in the cottonwoods and brush, offering lots of privacy. LaRose Campground, the newest, has sewer and is parallel sites out in the open. The bait shop/office has a small store with essentials (and terrible frozen pizza), which is handy inasmuch as the nearest town (Devil's River) is 15 miles away. Boat ramp and fish cleaning station for the fishermen. Our site took a bit of work to level up. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice and clean park. Spacious sites. Very good fishing area. Swim beach. Fish cleaning station. Only complaint would be the location if the trash dumpsters are a ways from each of the 3 campgrounds. Very nice park office with supplies/bait/firewood. Not much available for travelers in this state - most spaces reserved year round. Would not let me use my electric cart as it was not registered in state. Spaces wide open, but not much for shade. Arrived early and had to move - although no one in assigned space. Reservations on line and site personal can't alter. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park's primary users are fishermen, most from MN and WI. We stay there a number of times per year, for the fishing and because I own some farmland about 40 miles from the park.

The campsites in the wooded section are more comfortable than originally developed because enough underbrush has been cleared to allow a breeze through the sites.

If you look for this park via Google Earth, the waffle-looking sites are for campers with heavy-duty pickups, 30' 5th wheel trailers, and 20' boats. Those parking pads are about 70' long and have both water and sewer service.

We have no problem finding water/electric sites long enough for our pickup, slide-in camper, and 17' boat.

Most sites are first come, first served. Checkout is 1:00 PM, so if you arrive by 11:00 AM, sites are already opening. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

The nicest grocery store in Devils Lake is Leever's Country Market, downtown. The lot is large enough a motorhome can park so exiting is easy. Walmart, east of town, and K-Mart both sell groceries.

Brochures of things to do other than fishing can be found in the park registration building. Fort Totten has Civil War period buildings that have been refurbished.

We stayed here enroute during a five week trip out west. It was kind of pricey for a one night stay, but that's on us. It's a very nice campground, especially if you can get a site in the older, wooded sections. We could only get a site in the new section, which was open, no trees and campsites closer together. The amenities were adequate for what we were looking, which was a place to overnight. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful State Park with a brand new "RV" section with full hookups. We spent a couple of days here in mid-Sept. So things were very quiet, but I suspect it gets very busy in the summer. It's about 15-miles outside The town of Devils Lake. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Travel Trailer.

$20/night+3.00 online registration fee. Roads and sites are paved with picnic tables and fire rings. We stayed in the reservable area, but the ranger told us they are expanding the camping because they have to turn so many people away in the summer. This is a boating and fishing paradise – nice boat ramp (for 4 launches) and a large fish cleaning station near the bait shop/store/check-in. People drive very fast in the campground, and the bathhouse is within driving distance with pit toilets located in a few spots in the camping area. The bathhouse is very clean and large. It is a good drive to Devils Lake (town). We would stay here again. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Magnificent campground. We spent 3 nights here with our two dogs and loved every minute. Park staff were very friendly and helpful. Also had wonderful campground hosts. The park was a little difficult to get to because of the construction work on Hwy 19 due to the rising waters of Devils Lake. And driving over the 4 mile causeway was an experience but well work the trip. The lake is beautiful and the campground lush with grass, butterflies, and thousands of dragonflies. Not filled to capacity due to the construction which made it even more serene. Definitely would come back again. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Motorhome.

This was a most pleasant surprise! Unless you are from North Dakota, this is sort of off the beaten path. BUT, if you like boating or fishing or both, it's worth a visit. The park is VERY well maintained. There are two sections, the east section is a bit more open and the west section is a bit more woodsy. There is LOTS of space between camping spots, many "drop" toilets and a few real bathrooms w/showers. Boat ramp is wide and has lots of adjacent parking. Fish cleaning station is first class. If we're in the area in the future, we will, for sure, camp here, and longer than we did this time!!! We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Motorhome.
