May 2015 - $18.00
Just a little city park campground, but no fuss, clean, level and quiet.
Basic water, sewer and electric only and the gravel needs redone, a bit muddy. But quiet and nice surroundings and charming little town in spots.
We plan on using it again for a work stay. - MaWard
Aug 2017 - $20.00
This is a small city campground. There are 8 sites. Sites are small, not level, ground is soft. The sites are not big enough for two RVs. An RV with slides takes up two sites. Power was good. Both legs of the 50 amp service read 120v. Under load the voltage dropped to 116v. This campground is adjacent to the city softball field. There is a picnic shelter with one restroom. Very dirty. We did not use it. There is an additional restroom, but that has had the door removed and is boarded up. Water pressure was good, just over 42 psi. Water did have a slight green tint to it. Verizon cell and data are very very good. Data: 28.44 Mbps download and 20.64 Mbps upload speeds. There is no security here or that matter any police in this small town. One night during our stay a group of adults arrive in the picnic shelter area directly adjacent to the campground around 1AM. They were loud and drinking beer till sometime after 2AM. They did leave quietly. The morning after, there were large amount of bird feathers where they had been drinking. What's with that? With that all said we never felt uncomfortable about the lack of security. We were here on family business. This campground is in Veblen SD and was the only campground I could find that had FHUs for miles around. After being here a few days I did discover Britton SD, located about 30 miles, from Veblen does have a small RV campground. It is limited to 30 amp and not large enough for larger motor homes. Rates here are reasonable. $20 per night, $125 a week, and $300 a month. I'm not sure this campground is open during the winter. We probably will not stay here again. - ETB
