Very quiet. There is a great agricultural museum on site. Friendly staff. There is a paved road almost to the campground. They are very busy during their big threshing show in early June. Nearest services are about 20 miles away. So be sure to fuel up and get groceries before you visit here. - leftyce
Jul 2016 - $15.00
It agree with previous posts. I'll add its is $15 for full hookups. If you like peace and quiet this is the place for you. They also deliver free firewood if your want. - jprisbe
Jun 2016 - $10.00
This campground offers the full gambit of sites. Electric only, full hookups, you name it. We needed and got 50 amp service for our 40-footer. This is a really unique place with vintage tractors and other farm equipment. They have several different areas that you can camp in--so satellite was no problem. - illini777

The park is beautiful. Very nice for bike rides and walks. It just celebrated it's 85th anniversary so everything was very well groomed. The electric/water sites are pull through, large and shaded. Big trees made the sites very quiet. The restrooms have only two stalls and one shower. There was often a line. - Texaloha

Called first thing in the am, spoke with a pleasant woman and easily made reservations. Picnic table and fire ring need some TLC. Bath houses dated but clean. Site in the Aspen trees was lovely. WiFi and Verizon are none existent except at the interpretive center when it is open. It closed at 4pm when we were there. - sp123

This campground would have gotten a 10 except for the following. I tried to get a reservation for this place, but the phone number was for the administrative office which closed at 4:30. I tried the website where I could find no mention of the campground at all. So, I drove there and hoped for the best. When I got there it was after 4:30. There was no one at the gate. A sign said to fill out an envelope, put down a site number and enclose the camping ($30.00) and gate ($15.00) fee. Well, how could you put down a site number if you didn't know what was available. So, I drove to the campground, selected a site and went back and paid. Most of the sites had reserved signs on them even though no one was in them or showed up that night. However, it is a beautiful campground and is well worth trying to stay there. The gardens are beautiful and well worth the visit. - yelaraoc
