1 RV Park near Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories
Aug 2018 - $23.00
Very nice territorial Park in Fort Simpson. We have a 41' 5th wheel and found sites deep enough to back into pretty easily. We stayed in Site 15. The park map looks like there are pull throughs, but I'd suggest deep back in sites for larger rigs. Site was level and had no problems setting up. Although parks website and literature indicate 15 amp, electrical has been upgraded to 30 amp!! There is a water fill station (ask at kiosk for location) and sani dump at the exit (next to kiosk). Beautiful trees throughout park and village is an easy walk from park. We saw maintenance crews clearing some trees and foliage to open sites up a bit wider. Bathrooms and showers are excellent! No cost and water pressure was great! Will most definitely stay again! - SotoL-L

A beautiful setting an the junction of the Mackenzie and Liard Rivers. Pretty wooded sites in an interesting town rarely visited. I will definitely return when in the area. - Tranquilty1

This campground is situated at the south end of town near the papal site grounds. Our site was an almost level gravel pull through with 30 amp electric. There is a water fill near the exit, but it was locked so I was able to get water from the visitor center. The dump station is also located near the exit. There are modern washrooms and showers, but ask attendant if they are open. A water shortage kept them locked while we were there. There are some pit toilets available in any case. Some playground equipment near the washrooms. The horse flies and mosquitoes were the worst at this park of any we stayed at in the northwest territories. Bring lots of bug spray! - Onemoretrail
