Overall Rating:

This is a lovely RV park along the beautiful Acadian shore, about midway between Digby and Yarmouth. While the majority of the sites (87) are seasonal, there are 67 overnight sites. Surprisingly a large number of the waterfront sites are designated for overnight campers. There is even a heated pool. Generally sites are a decent size, giving you some space from your neighbours. All sites have a picnic table and fire pit. The host/owners are most pleasant and accommodating. The only drawbacks are that the free internet becomes quite slow when the campground is at capacity. Similarly, do not expect full 30 amp service when the campground is full. While I tend not to use public showers, I was surprised to see that the showers at Belle Baie are pay showers. Otherwise this campground makes a wonderful base to explore the beautiful Acadian shore. Stay 3 nights and the 4th night is free. The $45 rate is in Cdn dollars, tax included. We camped at Belle Baie Park in a Fifth Wheel.

BTW, we did a daytrip along Digby Neck to Brier Island, and in my humble opinion, the scenery along the Acadian Shore is far more beautiful.

We paid for 3 nights and got the 4th night free. A great deal. More campgrounds should offer this. We were given a beautiful full hookup site right on the water. These sites are reserved for overnighters. Most of the time you find them filled up with seasonal campers. We camped at Belle Baie Park in a Travel Trailer.

We got a nice site with a view of the ocean. Restrooms were OK but not great. Still don't understand why campgrounds don't have more available washrooms and why they can't clean them more often. There should be a toilet/shower for each 25 sites. Cleanliness only requires effort not money, so there is no excuse for bad restrooms. We camped at Belle Baie Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Even though campground washrooms were not good, we enjoyed our stay as there are lots of places to visit along the ocean road, churches, driving to Digby Neck for whale watching boat tour, Annapolis Royal, Port Royal etc.

My wife & I spent 4 nights here in our 35 ft 5th wheel. We loved this place! Onsite owners/managers are great folks & very helpful. Most of the sites are seasonal. However, they have some great transient sites right on the beach. We paid $150 CAD for 4 nights, back in 3-way site, right on the beach. Bathrooms, showers & laundromat were very good. The weather was interesting while we were here, to say the least. Late July, sunny the 1st day, then lots of strong wind, fog and showers. However, we loved it and would return in a heartbeat. We also love the Acadian culture and the scenery in the area, plus the music. Superb. We camped at Belle Baie Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 2 nights, right on the beach of Baie Ste. Marie. Quiet and with plenty of space for rig and table. Close to lots of little places up and down the Acadian Coast, and close to Université Ste. Anne and the site of the area's Acadian National Celebration Day, on August 15. Very kind and friendly people comfortable with French or English. We camped at Belle Baie Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Saturday local market up the road, Frenchy's discount brand name store (ask where), Beaux Vendredis every Friday in the summer, at the Market, on the ocean, where you can buy freaks cooked seafood meals & listen to live music). Check out Ste. Anne's for music also.

Took the overnight ferry from Portland, ME. Spent first three night here and loved it. Campsite was a back in on the bay with beautiful vistas. Mostly long term units but most of transient spots on or near the bay. Had problem with electric service but it was repaired within four hours. The Acadian shore area is rich in history and beautiful. Campground is family owned since forever and they are most helpful. Can't say enough good about the area. Not fancy but a great stop. We camped at Belle Baie Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice little park. Mostly full of seasonals with grassy waterfront sites for transients. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Great access with no trees. WiFi worked good. Would stay here again. We camped at Belle Baie Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly owners in a well-kept facility. We spent 3 nights in a back-in waterfront site. The site was spacious and the view awesome. Wi-Fi was good. Laundry was clean but a bit slow. The only problem we had was inadequate power supply. My surge protector on the power pole kept tripping whenever we used significant power due to low voltage. Be careful if your rig does not have a surge protector or at least an add-on like we have. We went to a Music by the Bay (aka Kitchen Party at a nearby restaurant which was awesome). This is a great location to explore the Acadian region west of Digby. We camped at Belle Baie Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Friendly staff, long, level site on the water. Roads are a little tight for a big rig, but not bad. Wi-Fi is the best we have seen in a long time. No cable TV and over the air channels are limited, but we are able to get satellite. A lot of permanent residents, but not the unattractive types that we often encounter. Would definitely return if in the area. We camped at Belle Baie Park in a Motorhome.
