Great park and very clean. Staff were excellent and only thing I would add is fenced dog park. They keep park very clean and lots to do. We took one of two covered bridge tours. Close to Lake Erie. We stayed here in 36’ Motor Home. - Cynlruss
Aug 2019 - $47.00
Stayed 2 different nights. Once on B-5 and A-39. B-5 was decent pull through, but about 1/2 mile walk to pool and bathrooms. A-39 was poor. It is in the seasonal section with power problem and totally uneven. I was up on two blocks and still not level. One bathroom was close enough but still a long walk to the pool. Pool is advertised as heated, but it wasn't. Went over at 8:00 pm and it was locked. It's advertised as a resort , but it didn't impress me as one. - russ1102
Jul 2019 - $1.00
Nice back in site FHU with good quality water and electric. Gravel site with picnic table and fire pit. Lots of annual people here with a few sites open for short stays. They have a pool and playground. Six washers and dryers in the laundry room, reasonable cost. There are no trails into the woods but there is a trail around the park and around Kenisee Lake. They have a ton of Canada geese here and they wander all over the grass, road and leave their dropping everywhere (UCK). So far I have not seen any activities for the guests as lots of them just seem to come on the weekend. - Kerch Family

The owner was super nice and responsive. Lead us to our site when checking in and switched us to a site without trees without hesitation. He also had to repair our power box as the 50amp had blown a fuse. Great location and loved riding the golf cart through the campground. We selected this campground as friends had a permeant site and wanted to spend time with them. We would stay and recommend this friendly campground for a weekend or longer stay. - Jaretaz
May 2018 - $42.00
This is by no means a $42 per night RV Park; at most a $25. It is a very basic park with w/30/50/s. No cable, no wi-fi. Roads are narrow gravel and sites are gravel. We would never stay here again primarly because of the price. One is paying a lot more and not getting much in return. - saintjamescity
Sep 2017 - $36.00
We stayed for one night on an east coast to midwest trip. Enjoyed fishing (catch and release) in the campground ponds, and a good long bike ride on the Western Reserve Trail which is easily accessible from the campground. The facilities were showing some age, and could use a bit of updating; the back part of the park was occupied by semi-permanent seasonal campers and park models. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we were guided to our site. A nice quiet place to stay. - Arby473

Sep 2019 - $75.00
Very clean and we'll manicured. Sites were extremely large had 40 class A had plenty of room. swimming pool was closed but looked very nice had a nice catch and release fishing pond had rental golf carts which could be used to go downtown. Mostly permanent sites but they were outside of the transient sites would go back again! - daubs57
Aug 2019 - $80.00
This a HUGE park. Most sites are occupied by seasonals or permanent units. But, they are very well maintained and kept clean. Transient sites are grouped into several areas in the park with about 2 dozen sites in each group. That way, the transient sites are not interspersed with permanent sites. In total there were about 100 transient sites and 500 or so permanent /season sites. Interior roads were paved, sites are gravel. Power voltage and water pressure were proper. Roads are easy to maneuver in a big rig. Rest rooms were spotless, even on the weekend when the park was packed. They have a well stocked store and a bar & grill with great happy hour specials and excellent pizza. Our site had a concrete patio are with a picnic table. However, the grass areas were pretty flooded, about an inch or 2 of water due to the heavy rains we had for a couple days. There is an adult pool and children pool , both very clean. I didn't go in so I don't know if they were heated. There is no beach/lake access, for that you need to go to town. - JoeH
Aug 2019 - $66.00
A 'resort' campground in the truest sense of the word. It's huge, with 600 camp sites sprinkled with trees (not big enough to mess with satellite antennas) and grass between sites. The sites are level, long, spacious, (not crowded at all), with a concrete dining pad, picnic table, fire pit and plenty of grass. There is a large laundry near the front gate, and several 'mini-laundries' conveniently scattered throughout the grounds. Interior roads are wide and gravel covered. Big (even biggest) rig navigation is not an issue. The park is exceptionally quiet (we were there early in the week, so maybe weekends are somewhat noiser). Plenty for everyone to do...from planned activities every weekend to swimming pools, playgrounds, bocce ball coats, a dog park, fitness center and catch and release fishing lakes. Plus there's a good sized convenience, fuel station (gas and diesel), dump station and even a fitness center. Seems to be a nice mixture of permanent residents (or maybe they're just weekenders) and short term visitors such as us. All in all it would a great place to spend much more time than our 3 nights. Ranks up there in the top 5 campgrounds where we've ever stayed. - boardman

Long level pull through on crushed asphalt. Large grassy site. Two over the air TV channels. Okay utilities. Quiet during the week. Okay WiFi. Go slow over railroad tracks in town. - 2hams
Jul 2019 - $45.00
Nice new, enclosed dog park. Too bad other pet owners didn’t clean up after their pets. Sites are well spaced with a comfortable distance between sites. Interior roads are gravel with SPEED bumps, REALLY!! Nice quiet park, would consider again but not in the assigned site, D3. VERY soft pad. 13k 5th wheel sank 2” pulling thru. Made it challenging to level. Other sites seemed not to have this issue, but as we were last minute reservation on holiday weekend we were happy to have a place to camp. - Mike51
Jun 2019 - $45.00
A large campground that fills up with weekend campers. Activities were planned by the park that seemed to be well received by the weekenders. Sites were level and were of crushed asphalt. Some sites would be hard to pull into due to trees near the entrance of site. - The Gunny

Sep 2019 - $29.00
This is one of the nicest state parks we have visited. We stayed in an electric only (30 amp) sites because there are very few sites that have access to the DISH satellites. Every site has a blacktop pad and blacktop roads throughout the park. The 50 amp full hookup sites are $38 and are all nestled in a wooded loop, so no satellite access, however, they have concrete patios with a picnic table. if this was a commercial there would be at least 2 - 3 times more sites, that's how much room there is between sites. I was in site 12 and was surrounded by beautifully mowed grass with a few trees. The reservation site has photos of each campsite so you can have an idea of what to expect. Do not use the the address they supply, it is about a mile away from the campground, do use the GPS coordinates they give you. I have found this to be a good idea for all state parks. - USA by RV
Jun 2019 - $29.00
Stayed at Geneva St Park in a Motorhome. Close to Geneva on the Lake and local wineries. Enjoyed a day on the beach and a side trip to Rock and Roll Hall of fame in Cleveland , about a 50 min drive down the 90. Bathhouse and restrooms could use some updating. Only one shower house for the entire camp ground and beach area could use some trash cans so people don't leave trash on the beach. Over all enjoyed our stay. - TomRab
May 2019 - $28.00
We arrived on a Wednesday night and I know we have had a lot of rain in Ohio, BUT!!!! We reserved site #11 online and we arrived at dusk, and the site was a mudhole. Since the office was closed we drove around and most of the sites were very wet with mud puddles. However, we liked site #2 which was a walk-in, so we took it thinking that would be an ok trade. Went to office the next day to be told we couldn't have site 2, a walkin, because the camp host was going in there on Friday. I said I thought site 4 was for camp host since it was marked that way and she told me that they had two hosts for the weekend. Why to hosts side-by-side in the same loop?????? I told her 2 worked well as my wife had a stroke and needed the solid footing. She suggest some site for us including #27 which was a pond. So we went and looked at another local private campground and ended up moving over there since we had to move anyway. The State park was not kept well the grass had not been cut well and it needed weedeating bad. Very wet, muddy and not kept. The only reason I give 5 is because they did refund our money for the duration of the stay. - wesmac68

Jun 2018 - $45.00
The park workers were friendly and helpful. Lots of things to do and the park is beautiful. 50 amp power didn't work. There are a lot of rules pertaining to dogs, but the owners dog roams around and poops where ever. I happened to see him outside our door going poop and I had to go find the owner to clean it up. If I hadn't seen it, we would have stepped in it. We go by the rules, we clean up after our dog and sometimes after other people's. I feel the owners need to do the same when it comes to their dog. - Barbara Ruth
Sep 2017 - $45.00
We were out in the "C" section. This is a field deep in the park. It was an 8 minute drive at 5 miles an hour to the entrance. We stayed off season so it was quiet, pool was closed. No WiFi. Very poor Verizon signal for both phone and WiFi. Very poor tv signal. Site was level. The grounds were nice, well kept and very large. The staff that worked there were very friendly. - Irishiwasdrinking
Jun 2016 - $34.00
Looked like a beautiful campground. BUT there is no satellite access. No cable TV and you can't get any local TV channels off your antenna.
Also, no Wi-Fi. We would not stay here again. It could be okay for overnight if you don't watch TV or need Wi-Fi.. Could not level even with 6 blocks under our jacks. Even with the blocks our wheels were 4" off the ground. - Micki

Sep 2019 - $22.00
We paid $22.00 for 50 amp and water pull thru using Passport America. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only stayed one night while passing thru. Very close to the interstate but noise was no problem at all. Only a couple of minutes from I-90 and easy to get to. Looks like they just put down blacktop grindings so no dust. kind of tight with a 45ft MH but doable. Would definitely stay here again. - Roamer on wheels
Jun 2019 - $20.00
Stayed overnight. Very nice looking, clean, well maintained (with noted exceptions). Close to interstate, but didn't notice even outside. Voltage drop at 13 amps, but not enough to adversely affect appliances. Narrow gravel interior roads (probably built when RV's were small), but negotiable. Mostly back-ins with seasonal units, but pull thrus were long, level, gravel sites. Bath houses were clean, but are in need of updating since fixtures had substantial, unappealing rust. Bath houses by office did not have locks on exterior or interior doors. Many large shade trees at most sites. Nice looking swimming lake. Decent internet. AT&T and TV reception were very good. Very well maintained, grass, fenced dog area. Helpful staff. Would stay again. - LoneWolf

Stopped here because of the last review on July 2015 by WALT66 as we only needed a quick over night. All amenities were "good enough" for an overnight. However, the lady attendant said they haven't been part of PA for years (obviously a lie) & we were charged $49 for 30A E & W. Not coming back & will be spreading the word. - Gerry H
Jul 2015 - $20.00
Read the preceding reviews, must have gotten lucky. The park was quiet, no dogs barking. The seasonals had a bonfire but were quiet. Did not check the showers or bathrooms. I was greeted politely by the lady at the counter, as a matter of fact she called me earlier the day to find out my arrival time and to advise me that there was a severe storm warning for 4:30. Sure enough I arrived at 4:30 and was in the middle of the storm. Sat in parking lot until it let up. Was given a shade site so no TV, decent 30 amp. Did not hook up to water as we are here for one night before moving on. AT&T had good signal. - walt66
Aug 2014 - $25.00
Horrible camping. The seasonal campers allow their dogs to run around off the leash, bothering my dog, on my site, who was on a leash. They allow their dogs to bark for hours on end, and the bathrooms are a dump! Lights not working, dirty showers. Dumpster reeks of rotting, dead fish. Overall the place sucks. Not worth returning. - shabbylover

This park has major water issues. Everywhere you walked (let alone drive) was a marsh. We were told first come first serve, picked a site, got set up, then told we had to move that someone else requested that site. Roads are narrow and sites only have gravel enough for under camper. Tried another site and was so narrow and wet our truck and camper sank and nearly got stuck. They have low power lines at back of sites (which are also not long enough for most 5th wheels). Indoor pool is nice, but no restrooms anywhere. Lake is very nice. Joined as coast to coast, nothing but lies. Sites are very close together. Just upgraded electric so it is actually usable now, but they charge an additional fee per night now. Terrible campground! - Djesky
Jul 2017 - $1.00
If I had not read the reviews I would not have known how to get in the gate. The lady who checked us in was nice but seemed to be in a hurry it was 2 pm... she rushed through signing us in. We had to ask where we were to go and if there was anything going on. She never gave us a code to get back in if we left and the office wasn't open the next day. They also close pool on Tuesday's...ridiculous!! You can't get to anything on Tuesday...nothing! Can't get into fitness area to workout. Now the good...electric was new and good, hookups were good. Site was nice. The park itself was very clean. We would come back again. - DebT
Aug 2016 - $13.00
Rate reflects Coast to Coast plus friend rate. Check-in was delayed because electric gate was down and no one was in the guard house. Another camper behind me came up to tell me that I had to press a button to get an answer. Once in, the check-in at the office was easy.
We were directed to the camping area that is advertised as pull-through. It is pull-through only if there is not another camper on the other end of your site. It is "first come, first serve" and many campers had taken too much space, so that limited the options on which sites were actually usable. Available sites were back-in, so unhooking the toad was mandatory.
Our neighbors at the site informed us that another motor home had pulled into the site and left after a short time. We soon learned why. Hooking up to the water was an ordeal because the wooden support for the hose bibs had rotted off at ground level so that left the outlet hose as the only support for four outlets. The 30 amp service was not usable. Measured voltage was only 103 volts at the pedestal. Attempting to change the refrigerator from gas to electric reduced the voltage in the motorhome to 85 volts. Clearly, the attempted use for the AC unit would probably damage the unit.
Complaints to management resulted in them reassigning us to a different section of the campground, with the caveat being that they couldn't promise anything. We inspected the newly assigned sites and they were normal household 20 amp receptacles. Before moving the unit, I measured the voltage which was only 104 Volts.
It was clear that staying at this campground was not a viable option, given the temperature and the need to use our normal appliances without risking damage to them.
This campground was well kept for the permanent residents. The section for others was anything but that. The grass needed mowing and the water and electric service was abysmal.
We left and will never visit this campground again. - Lakewood90
