Aug 2016 - $35.00
According to the staff, this campground was a campground, then it wasn't, then new owners decided to re-open, aiming for year-round availability. Owner is very nice and super helpful. No credit cards accepted at this time; cash or check only. Rates are ala carte with $35 the highest for full hookup-50 amp. Access road is wide, v-e-r-y long and pot-holed gravel. Go slow. Campground roads are gravel and level with no issues. All sites are well-mowed grass and some gravel, sufficiently level and long with some tall trees, full hookup-30 amp with some sites with 50 amp. No overhead obstacles. No major landscaping with pedestal at the front end of each site. Good satellite antenna positioning. No fire rings or pits. Good city water pressure and taste. Looks like the office used to be a café or restaurant (but not any longer). No store, no supplies. Restrooms/showers get a grade of "C-"; dated with makeshift PVC piping. No propane sales. No laundry, playground, or other amenities. No Wi-Fi. Good Verizon coverage. Interstate is nearby but no detectable noise. There is a very attractive lake but I don't know what you'd do with it. No signs indicating that fishing is permitted. - StephenK

On a trip east we stayed one night here and liked it so much we stayed again the trip home. Staff is very friendly and courteous. The pull thru site made parking easy. Sites are nice size and level. It is a clean pretty park. - Ruth Heath
Jun 2019 - $45.00
There are many trees, some need trimming for a large coach. Entry to pull through site was difficult, tree branches scraping the coach, rear tires into mud. My tracks weren't the only one, others were further astray. The same was true on exiting the site. This was our best option for visiting family in the Cleveland area. It was the closest park with full hookups. - LivinTheDream
May 2019 - $35.00
Very friendly staff and well maintained park. Although there are a lot of full time campers, most looked like summer or weekend getaways but all areas clean and tidy. If you have pets, they have a policy of NOT walking your dog. Not sure why. We stayed here so we could go the the Rock & Roll HOF. - WayBro

PROS Quiet, respectful hosts and guests, good value, grassy pull-through sites for big rigs, shade trees, swimming hole with beach, some wifi, basketball and tennis courts. CONS Wifi spotty, broken paddle boat, small picnic tables, short hours on some days (open till 5PM). - tdrager
Jul 2015 - $30.00
This was our 2nd visit to the park. It has two nice ponds and is very level. Our site was a little soggy, but it had been rainy for a few days. Nice, quiet park with some permanent residents. - Marian H
Jul 2015 - $30.00
This is an "old fashioned campground" and we were thrilled to find it. We were familiar with the Wooster area and figured from photos it would be a flat, hot farmfield with two ponds. Not so; it is flat but there are a lot of trees, and transients (as opposed to seasonals) will get a nice shaded site. From calling for reservations to being greeted on arrival to escort to the site, all was handled well with friendliness and caring. Hookups are easy (though may need an extension for electric and a second hose for water, depending on which way you face upon coming in.) Site was on grass and reasonably level with only minor adjustment needed. Showers are available (but bring quarters...it's that old fashioned.) Toilets are in separate area and look like pit toilets, but they are flush. There is a small pond with swimming off a sand beach. Lots of areas for kids to play. Over the air TV was more than adequate with all major networks available and we got a total of 33 stations. You can pay for Internet but they also have a hotspot which I was able to pick up in our coach. Biggest problems are finding the place (follow their directions from the web site; don't trust your GPS) and the fact that after a lot of rain, sites can be muddy and heavy rigs could sink a bit. But we will definitely return next time we come back for a visit to Wooster. - Too-wow

This is a rural park. Some full time workers living there. Restrooms were disgusting. There is a pond for swimming, but I can't believe anyone would. - PF Churchill

Jun 2019 - $35.00
This park has about 200 sites, however all but 7 are long term residents. Very nice park for that group. The 7 for overnighters are pull throughs and plenty long. They have very nice trees bordering the entrance and exit of each site. The problem is they are overgrown and they rub your coach (if a large one) as you come in. Some of the sites are a bit sloped. Ours was okay but others not so much. The road coming to the park also has a bunch of trees overhanging that catch your coach when coming in. Hookups were good. Water pressure fine. Power was also good. No cable. But was able to get satellite reception between the trees! The sites are gravel with large grass area next to each. Really good sized sites. This is a fine park for overnighting. Just a bit tight getting into the site. - JoeVinnie
Oct 2016 - $30.00
Road to get to camp was tight, but manageable. This was an overnight stay, so we didn't see the bathrooms or laundry facilities. The staff was nice when we checked in, and they gave us a choice of sites in the pull through row (there are 7 sites in that row). The rest of the campground seemed to be permanent residents/campers. Our site (7) was pretty level, although the other choice (site 5) was less so. Decent water pressure, no problem with electric. Lots of beautiful trees at the site, but open enough to allow for our satellite to get reception. My only complaint would be that there was dog poop everywhere we walked, literally a minefield. Can't completely blame the park for disgusting dog owners, but they could definitely do with some lawn maintenance to compensate. All in all, not a bad place for a stop over. - DaBlairs
Sep 2013 - $30.00
After looking at several reviews, we choose this campground based on previous guests. What a disappointment. The overnight sites are not at all level, the Wi-Fi is non existent and the bathrooms were atrocious. This is mostly permanents and, as other reviews have stated, drive by in their golf carts like lookie loos. Luckily we only stayed one night. Would not stay again if in the area. - which2

Note to others: this is a "no alcohol" campground. Not a problem for us, but might be for others. - Art n Jackie

We love this park. Large sites that have a picnic table and fire ring. Convenient Sunday services in the main pavillion on Sunday's. Swimming and fishing (catch and release) near the front office. - KennyGolub
Jul 2019 - $38.00
This is a very large RV park in a rural setting. Large pond at the entrance with roped off swimming area and beach. The entire park is a large grass field with spacious sites. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The sites are on grass and not overly level. The entire park perimeter is surrounded by permanent resident. The interior is for short term stays. The cell service and internet is horrible. You can purchase internet service from a off site provider for $2.00 a day. It worked ok. There are a multitude of organized activities. There is a kids play area, basket ball, horse shoes, disc golf, and water activities at the lake. The lawns and grounds are reasonably well maintained. The buildings are old and need of paint, repair, and updating. The rest rooms are only "surface clean". The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner is a minister and conducts Sunday service if you are so inclined. There is a no firearm, no alcohol policy. Overall is is quiet and peaceful. It is in need of repair and upgrading. Because of this and the poor cell service it is not rated well. Rated as Below Average. We would not stay there again. - Pacatrader

Apr 2019 - $50.00
This campground is delightful; like staying on a well groomed golf course! We elected to upgrade from a pull thru site to one of the new back in sites on a pond. It had a new grill, picnic table, extra lawn furniture. The staff was awesome! We will definitely go out of our way to stay here again. - BLNaugle

Very helpful staff. Clean and well landscaped and well maintained. The race track nearby was very loud at night, after midnight, on weekends. The noise kept us awake. Very small laundry room, only two washing machines. - Mnolasco

The pool is the newest feature at this park. The sites are level. The playground needs to be a little updated. - Stacie C

Jul 2018 - $25.00
We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Lehman's Hardware in Kidron. I think the campground was originally built to support attendance at the, now defunct, Wild West Show arena next door. Most of the sites appear to be occupied by seasonal campers, but sites are neat and well maintained. Our site was grass and fairly level with 30 amp electric and water. There is a dump station on the exit road and a pumping service is provided for a fee. The staff and fellow campers were courteous and friendly. There is a well maintained swimming pond and a pond for fishing. We would stay here again if we were in the area. - BounderPounder
Aug 2015 - $23.00
The park has 60% season campers, all very friendly. No sewer, everyone uses the dump station. 20/30 amp electric only. Has a large pond with two slides and sandy beach. Stayed four days and would go back. - Lindas Old Man
