All of the sites are asphalt and most seem to be level, which was a nice change. 50/30/120 available. Each site had a picnic table and a nice fire ring. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice Park, spots are very long and were spaced to give you privacy. Only overnighted here, so didn't use the facilities. The couple that we were with had power issues at their site. The 50 amp service did not work and they had to use 30 amp. Wasn't a problem, as it wasn't hot and they didn't need two AC units to run. Waited 45 minutes for a guy to come out to test it, which we had already done, and tell us the 50 outlet was bad! We knew that already and he wasn't allowed to fix it. So big waste of time, but like I said, we were only overnighting. Certainly adequate for that. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice State Park with large, private back in sites. Each site is treed, with grass and a picnic table. The restrooms are very clean and well maintained. All the roads are paved and each site has level asphalt parking site. The hookups are convenient, work well, and easy to attach. It is close to the lake which has a lot of beaches and water activities. There are several cabins for rent. We would highly recommend this State Park, Rated as Above Average. We would stay here again. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

We like state parks, as well as COE and National parks, and this is a nice one, if a bit old. Our site had only electricity (50,30,20 amp). No water, go in with full tank and empty waste tanks. Site was shadey, we did not get sat. service, but kind of nice to have a break. Only other negative about the park is no one follows reasonable speed limits....keep you kids and pets away from the roads. We were here to visit the Columbus Zoo with our granddaughter and this was a close, convenient campground. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Camped in a 35" motorhome. We are self-contained so cannot comment on restrooms/shower facilities. Stayed in site #K21 - Electric only Pros- - Lots of trees - Very spacious site with view of lake - Very quiet - So much to do from biking to kayaking, fishing.... - Verizon worked great - Site was pretty level Cons - - This is a very large campground with only one area to get water and dump. They had to direct traffic as RV's were lined up down the road and tempers were flaring. If you are leaving on a Sunday beware - you may have to wait hours to dump your tanks. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

This State campground is quite nice. Our site was a FHU on the E road. No WIFI. The site was paved, level and roomy with a picnic table and fire ring. The showers were clean and had plenty of hot water with a bench in the dressing area of each shower. No shelf in the shower itself. Nice walking paths for walking your dogs. We would stay here again. This is an excellent park with paved, widely spaced sites. There is ample vegetation around each site providing good visual separation. The park is very big rig friendly with easy access to the sites. We had no trouble backing our 41' fifth wheel in place. The full hookup sites also have a concrete patio. The access from the interstate is easy as well. Delaware is 5 miles away with plenty of shopping available. Columbus with all of its attractions is an easy drive. There was almost no place to park our truck. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

No water hook up in B Loop. There was a community water spigot by our site. Be aware not all bathrooms have showers. We had a big level site (B32) on the end with great privacy. The pad was a little short and had to park truck at an angle to fit in front of trailer. Nice fire rings. Only 1 of the sites (B39) actually had a water view, even though the B loop is called water view. Sites were shady and level. We were there during a bad rain and lots of muddy spots, the campground tried throwing straw out in the mud puddles which did help some. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:
Visit the Olentangy Indian Caverns. Nice view of lake from on top of the dam/reservoir. We wanted to use the pavilion for a family bonfire and cookout. It was free and first come first served. When we went to check it out it was a MESS. There were old bookcases in the fire pit! The girl checking us in didn't know if there was electricity at the covered area. 1 stinky porta potty available. We moved the event to a relatives house and didn't use the pavillion.

We came without reservations mid week for a week long stay. It was a bit confusing when the host told us to go check out sites, write down the numbers, and come back to see which was available. I mean, come on, its the age of the internet. We figured out a reasonable shady spot and the experience was fine. The lake is huge, but we were here for other reasons. There is a small disc golf course near the campsites and a better 18 hole course within the park. Watch out for the raccoons. And they could do something about the stray cats. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice site spacing- you don't feel like you're on top of all your neighbors. Only site we could see directly was the one across the street. We're in Columbus for events, so didn't use the lake at all. The beach looked nice though. Space was paved with plenty of room, picnic table and fire ring. Our site was electric only. Didn't use the restrooms, but the showers were fine. Private with a shower and small changing area outside. Could use cosmetic update, but clean with plenty of hot water. Would definitely go back. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Really nice large campground where it feels small because sites are well spaced and separated by greenery. Lake is nice with beach, activities areas, marina and some access from shore to fish. Our site was a full hook up 50amp site...but we noticed other premium sites that were electric and water only if you were close to lake inlets. The check in station had suffered a fire so No one was there, no maps (though camp signage was good). Then shower house was closed and dumpsters were overflowing. Our last day, a staff person manned a temp check in station, was nice and explained trash contractor was remiss and would be picking up soon...and finally dumpsters began to empty. As park got filled, there were multiple reservation issues between campers and no staff around to help. People generally cooperated. We would return. Golden Buckets gets price cut in half, too. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Delaware Ohio has Buns Restaurant...it's been around for 150+ years...good comfort foods and Greek food. Town has cheese shop, theatre, restaurants, pubs, and antique stores...fun to explore. Blend of 7 Winery is great...music, fire cooked pizza, wide range of wines, reasonable prices run by a delightful family.

Took a couple of beautiful Fall days to visit this park. Made advance reservations for a full hook-up site. When we arrived, some other travel trailer was on our reserved site and no one was around, not at the campground office or at the site. Took half hour to get a ranger to stop but by then we had just backed into another site (turns out to be better) than the one we had reserved. No problem. The ranger sorted our site reservation issue via his radio. Nice wide site, lots of foliage separating us from neighbors, newly paved blacktopped pad and small concrete patio with excellent large picnic table. Professionally made fire ring that had a removable cooking grate so we use that to make dinner our first night. 50 amp electric, water, and sewer all clustered together at left real corner where they belong. All hook-ups in excellent condition. Couldn't have asked for a nicer, simpler set-up. Very enjoyable. Would be a ten except for the slip up on site reservations and no one at office to help mid-week in October. Most of the sites in this park have only electric so these few full service sites are new and very nice. Glad we got one. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

If you have dogs...bring 'em. Outstanding dog park very close to the campgrounds. It was a huge fenced in area that had kiddie pools for the dogs to jump in. The other people and dogs were very friendly and our two pooches loved it. They also have an area fenced off for the dogs to swim in the lake. This made this place perfect our pets. We were there 2 times / day and really wore our dogs out.
