Best kept secret in central Ohio. Yes its a little crowded, but what campground isn't in the summer? Sure the sites aren't perfectly level, but after a year full timing I haven't found one that is. Even though its a bit cramped it is nice and quiet. I know we will be back after our week there. - Buckeye_Nomad
May 2019 - $25.00
Very nice city park with grass and large trees. Most sites all grass, but improving to gravel pads with grass all around. Park well maintained. W & E sites, 30 & 50 amp. Good Verizon cell and 4G signal. Large trees block satellite signal in many sites. Family, kids and pet friendly. Adjacent to city park with outdoor pool, several playgrounds. Lots of social events during summer and on weekends. 10 miles to shopping center and Columbus. Staff very friendly and helpful. Higher rating but dump station and no sewer at site and very weak wi-fi Would stay there again. - Pepper Dan
May 2019 - $25.00
The staff at Pastime Park were friendly and helpful. We arrived the morning after the area had 2 inches of rain the night before. Given that the sites were grass and dirt, our reserved spot was muddy with puddles of water. After talking to the Park Director, we were able to choose a new site on higher ground for our 8 day stay. It is a beautiful park with mature Oak trees for shade. Costco and other major shopping is about 10 minutes away. Anywhere in Columbus is a short drive. Only negative was the WiFi signal was too weak to use. We will stay again. - NVfaiella

Easy off and on at I-71 exit 111. Head west and take the 4th right (last turn before rail overpass) onto Korbel Ave. The East CG is on the right, the North is just past it on the left. Both the East and West CG's have full hookups. The East is all back in sites, but several work as pull thru's, but look first. This area is mostly level but very lumpy so RV positioning is important for leveling. This is a grassy area with some trees for shade and plenty of dog crap at no extra cost. Sewer locations are all over, you need to look. The North CG is a big wide open mostly gravel area with long pull thru's and no shade. All hookups are in one spot. For a quick in and out 1 night stay or for larger RV's and those towing trailers this may be the better option. OTA TV and cell service were both very good. If they have any kind of event, then it might be real tight here. - Bob and Inga
May 2019 - $35.00
Pretty much what everyone else has said; big, grassy area without much definition about what is an actual spot. We arrived late after dark, which I do not recommend. We happened to arrive on the same weekend as some equestrian event so the place was packed. We drove around until we found an opening and pulled in, and hooked up minimum to get to bed. Next morning we woke up and were parked backwards from many around us, but it all seemed to work. Also, CAUTION, if you follow the website directions for arriving from the south, it will exit you off the freeway at 11th Ave, then loop you around to 17th Ave, which routes you to the area from the east. You have to drive under an overpass marked 12'9". Our 5th wheel was measured at 12'6" so we squeaked under. Exit on 17th Ave and you can get there and miss the overpass. Like other reviewers said, lots of noise, grass uneven in areas, but convenient to downtown. Paying for the site was an interesting proposition. I called the number before we arrived and had to wait for a call back. At the park we couldn't find where to pay. I called the number and a person answered, and directed us to a temporary building setup in the middle of 17th Ave for admission to the equestrian show. I don't know what you'd do normally. - Motorcyclekelly
May 2019 - $35.00
Not bad! For a state fairgrounds this was pretty good. Three camping areas to choose from - water, electric, and sewer available depending on the section. The fairground is a huge property that extends across 17th Street (walkable) to horse/livestock barns. Also connects to Marpfle Stadium. Very pleased with the camping here, easy access to interstates and downtown Columbus. - Flying Mantis

This was the perfect Park for us. We went there to watch our grandson perform in the state show band competition and we were running late. We had reservations and we called to see if we could get our site number and then finish checking in later in the day. Owner said no problem she checked us in over the phone and then watch for us to come and ran our paperwork out to the truck. We dropped the camper and made it to Hilliard high school with about 10 minutes to spare. I can't believe how accommodating this Campground is. The sites are small and have a very unique layout but it's absolutely perfect for a couple nights when visiting the area. Even though the sites are quite small and close the unique layout makes it easy to park and you don't feel wedged in. There is even a community bonfire area near the office for people to enjoy. I'd go back there anytime if I was in the area or even as a stopover for a night or two. - Vernadene
Sep 2019 - $39.00
First, the good points of this RV park. The woman who checked us in, who described herself as a camper employee, was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The park was free of trash and had pretty flowers around the sign. That's about it. In no way would this be called a resort, as one reviewer did. It is a mostly dirt lot next door to the owner's house, the park being built in 1965. At that time, it was probably as much as people expected. Today, having traveled from Nova Scotia to New Mexico, I would call it the irreducible minimum for a place to lay your head overnight when there's nothing else. Sites are of varying sizes- ours was long enough to that we didn't have to unhook from our small travel trailer- but no delineations are made between the site and the road. Sites are so close that undoubtedly this is the reason for having to put your awning in when you are not on your site, lest someone hit it. The water pressure varied from OK to a trickle, and most of the sewer connections, including ours, were so elevated as to make it impossible to get a downhill flow. I would not stay here again, despite the fact that those who run it are doing their best with an outdated setup. - Momcat49
Aug 2019 - $39.00
We were here for an overnight, just wanted to have a safe place to stay. Office is only open from 1-8 pm so I emailed at 11 am from the road asking about a pull through site so we didn't have to disconnect. I got a response just after 2 pm saying that, yes, as of now, they had a site for us and to call her with our credit card and address to hold it. Well, at that point, we were almost there-just 15-20 minutes away. So I replied that we were close and I would just give her the info when we got there. Upon our arrival she wasn't there, only the husband who was hospitable enough. Then she came in a few minutes later and, when I told her who I was, she said snippily, "I thought I told you to call!" I told her I had emailed her to say that we were close and I was paying in cash. She was obviously still upset and told me, "Well, you know you'll have to disconnect!" I said, "No, I didn't." Anyway, in the end, we didn't have to disconnect, thankfully. Other reviews said that the staff was friendly, we didn't find that to be so. The park looked like all pull through sites of various lengths. We got a 10% Good Sam discount and still thought the value was very bad with no amenities besides a picnic table, trash and recycling... should've been $25-30!! We will not stay here again. - 2VetsRVing

Jul 2019 - $41.00
We called in the late afternoon and were pleased to get a spot on a Friday night. We just needed an overnight stay and they provided a back in for our 35' travel trailer. Spaces are tight and when we prepared the leave the next morning, our neighbors across the road had to move their cars for us to pull out. At night when each camper started a fire in their fire pit, the entire camp was covered in smoke and it didn't completely clear until the next morning. Our dog liked the campground because there was a nice enclosed dog run and there was a lovely walk around the perimeter of the park (muddy in spots from recent rain but very nice). Children will like this park too, playgrounds, nice pool and slow traffic so they can be out on their bikes. Bathrooms are up near the front of the park and there are two "portables" at the rear of the property, so if you plan to use their facilities you have a hike to get to the front. Sites were level but we did have to unhook to fit in and our tow vehicle was barely out of the road in front of the trailer. They might be well served to cut down on a few of their spots and charge more per a night - the crowded conditions may eventually harm their reputation. - WindRiver

All of the sites are asphalt and most seem to be level, which was a nice change. 50/30/120 available. Each site had a picnic table and a nice fire ring. - Buckeye_Nomad
Jul 2019 - $35.00
Nice Park, spots are very long and were spaced to give you privacy. Only overnighted here, so didn't use the facilities. The couple that we were with had power issues at their site. The 50 amp service did not work and they had to use 30 amp. Wasn't a problem, as it wasn't hot and they didn't need two AC units to run. Waited 45 minutes for a guy to come out to test it, which we had already done, and tell us the 50 outlet was bad! We knew that already and he wasn't allowed to fix it. So big waste of time, but like I said, we were only overnighting. Certainly adequate for that. - tjsprinter
Jul 2019 - $46.00
Very nice State Park with large, private back in sites. Each site is treed, with grass and a picnic table. The restrooms are very clean and well maintained. All the roads are paved and each site has level asphalt parking site. The hookups are convenient, work well, and easy to attach. It is close to the lake which has a lot of beaches and water activities. There are several cabins for rent. We would highly recommend this State Park, Rated as Above Average. We would stay here again. - Pacatrader

This is our 3rd year camping at Berkshire Campgrounds. As you enter the large sized office, it is filled with all the essentials. There are nachos & cheese, ice cream treats, hot dogs and pizza. The flavorful slushees are so refreshing and come in a variety of flavors. Behind the office you will see the pool and it is a beautiful blue at all times. The owner has provided picnic tables with umbrellas surrounding the pool to keep cool on hot days as well as a good supply of lounging chairs for sun lovers. Putt-putt golf is located beside the pool and available every day. The owners have hired staff that is friendly and helpful. They provide a variety of activities for the campers to enjoy on the weekends. You will see some wildlife and wake up to the birds tweeting to start your day off right. The smell of campfires in the evening provide many lasting memories with friends and family. We've met many friendly campers and full timers here. We're sure you will enjoy your stay at Berkshire Campgrounds. - Jerrie Yoakam
Sep 2017 - $25.00
I am a part time full timer and spent three months at this park. The staff was very helpful anytime I asked questions. The park needs updating and they need to keep up on the mowing of the grass as it gets long frequently. They have a very large seasonal section and a much smaller non-seasonal section. It is convenient to Columbus and most sites are easy to get into (however they are not very wide at all, my slideout would overhang into the site next door). - A Chevalier

This park is quiet, out of the way and family oriented. Lots of seasonal campers. They also offer tent camp sites. Management is helpful, and the grounds are clean. Weekly pump out is included with the site. - LKD
Jun 2018 - $38.00
This park is little more than a farmer's field with some gravel spread here and there. The sites are less than adequate for a larger unit. Our 40' fifth wheel took the entire site and left little room for our truck. On day one I was told to park my truck on the side of the site next to the pedestal (4x4 in the ground). The first night that area became a pool of about 6" of water. On day 2 I was told to park across the site in front of our trailer. That supposedly caused a 45' motorhome to get stuck in the mud. On day 3 I was told to park at the rear of my coach. That blocked access for other travelers to get to their sites without becoming mired in the mud which was everywhere. Finally, I parked next to the coach (very close) so that I couldn't use the picnic table (not that I would...it was very dirty). There is no sewer connection except for gray water. We were told the gray water is dumped in the adjacent farm field. The electrical service is deficient to say the least. I was getting low voltage alarms for the entire 10 days we stayed there. On 2 occasions, my batteries were completely depleted so we sat in the dark. My power monitor was showing less than 90 volts most of the time. The management/owner is rude...but maybe that's just his way. We would not stay here again on a bet. - GreatGoogly
Jul 2016 - $35.00
The park is a bit difficult to get to but is a very attractive park when you do with many large trees and lots of shade. Sites in the heavy timber have gravel pads with very little grass, due to the lack of sun but are nice on warm days. Overnight sites are pull through with easy access, gravel pads that are close to level. Nice swimming pool, very quiet and friendly. We were happy that we found this out of the way park and will go back if we travel that way again. - RV Camper1

Used Delaware SP as an overnight stop. It's not near the interstate, but I happened to be traveling on Rt 23. Very spacious sites, super level. No water on site, but spigots are central to each group of sites. CG map showed a hiking trail to the reservoir from the campground but I couldn't locate the trailhead. Cute yurts are available for rent. A large domed tornado shelter is near the office. Mid-week in early October the CG was empty. Super dark at night. Some train noise. - Flying Mantis
Sep 2019 - $29.00
We spent 3 nights at this park and loved it. The campground part of the park is about 3.5 miles from the park entrance and well away from the day use area. Site 16 was probably one of the largest sites we've ever had. Partial shade, well manicured and level. 20, 30 and 50 amp service worked well. AT&T worked great. The only reason I did not give it a 10 was the price of firewood. $5.00 for 4 really small pieces. We spoke with one of the camp hosts, pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we ever head back this way. - TheWanderingRVer

This was our maiden voyage in our camper. The park layout is very unique, several area to choose from with each area has its own bathhouse and camper host. Host offers free coffee and have pastries for sell in front of the bathhouse on Saturday mornings. Only downside is no lake views from the campsites. - Vic and Becky

Very nice KOA. Good hookups. Many site satellite friendly. Sites packed gravel and level. Large lake, nice pool. Small feeding zoo. Paddle boats for the pond. Many things for kids. Lots of activities here. Park nicely kept. Site have fire ring/picnic table/cement patio. Trash pickup at site. NOTE: Watch following GPS it may lead to covered bridge with 10' height. Call campground for instructions! Good Version signal. Camp has blazing wifi clocked at 43 Mps down and 14 up. Best I have seen over the years! Food delivery at site. Well stocked store. Prices are about 20.00 higher on weekends. Park front office very nice and try to accommodate your needs. Would defiantly come back here again - wtravlr1

Formerly Autumn Lakes, this campground has made several upgrades over the last couple years. New showers houses are immaculate. Pool is great, although it fills up quickly. They even had open bar on Saturday for a few hours with margaritas and mimosas. Petting animals, hayrides and other activities through out the day. They are under construction on a new section with a 2nd lake and additional campsites. The current lake is great and the fishing was awesome. The bluegill were huge. Just use hotdogs. Site was level, clean, partially shaded. They are a little tight but had plenty of room for tow vehicle and camper. Camp store has some items but not as stocked as some other places I've been. Will definitely stay here again and become part of our regular spots. - DoubleEE

It was a little strange getting into the park. Our GPS took us to the restaurant, where you will see signs on how to get to the campground. Checking in was easy, since we had already paid, and we got directions to our site. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the site. You could almost put 2 of our coaches, with tow, on the site. Our site didn't have a picnic table, but it probably wasn't needed, as we were right next to a shelter, which had several tables. We only stayed one night, but this was our second time here, and we would recommend it for an extended stay. - Bbtj
