Nice new, enclosed dog park. Too bad other pet owners didn’t clean up after their pets. Sites are well spaced with a comfortable distance between sites. Interior roads are gravel with SPEED bumps, REALLY!! Nice quiet park, would consider again but not in the assigned site, D3. VERY soft pad. 13k 5th wheel sank 2” pulling thru. Made it challenging to level. Other sites seemed not to have this issue, but as we were last minute reservation on holiday weekend we were happy to have a place to camp. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

A large campground that fills up with weekend campers. Activities were planned by the park that seemed to be well received by the weekenders. Sites were level and were of crushed asphalt. Some sites would be hard to pull into due to trees near the entrance of site. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

First Impression: Large, manicured presentation, good signage, easy to find. Safety: No concerns. Access: Exit 218 off I-90, drive north on OH-534, through town. CAUTION, two "humpback" railroad crossings. Asphalt gouges evident. Municipal road north of town in dire need of resurfacing. CG access road in fair condition (potholes, ruts), good signage, Garmin GPS is accurate. Office: Friendly staff, token store with snacks, a few RV equipment items, beach toys for the tots. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations not available. No price discounts. Facilities: No pool, spa, fitness room or rec center. Very nice restrooms but pay showers, modern, clean, no mold (score "A-"). Propane sales. Huge playground. Big off-leash dog run. Campground: Not in a flood plain. Use restroom as a storm shelter. Lightly wooded. Interior roads are narrow gravel in good condition with gentle turns and no overhead obstacles. Big rig friendly. Tent areas but no yurts or cabins. Sites are all spacious, level, gravel, pull-through and back-in, nice grass between. Pedestals at middle of site with electric 20/30/50; metered for seasonal. Adequate water pressure with good taste. Sewer pipe is 4" threaded, about 6" above ground level but some are placed near the front of the site. No patios; usable picnic tables. Fire rings. Good satellite views. No cable TV. Free Wi-Fi but poor antenna locations. Verizon phone at 3 bars; 4G at 2-3 bars. No recycle bins. Noise: Distant railroad, no aircraft, no traffic, and no interstate noise. Bug Report (early June): no insect issues. Runners: CG roads ok for running. Yoga: Well mowed grass should be okay for your mat. Conclusion: Score 7-Good. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much in Geneva. Drive west on US-20 in town for hospital, fast food, local eateries. No national restaurants. Continue on US-20 towards Painesville and Mentor for bigger city amenities. Diesel around the area is about $3.039 per gallon. Mentor RV at I-90, exit 212 for parts or service.

Park was full but really peaceful. Lot was level and utilities worked well. WiFi was not able to connect at all even after talking with the office. The instructions said to log onto their webpage to get it but how do you do that when you have no internet. We had a pull thru site but had to back out due to the trees. Permanents were in the back and nicely kept. Nothing to do here unless you fish. Exit gate does not go all the way vertical so it could catch your awning. Do not get the gate card because they give you the code. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We managed to get a corner lot which was really nice. Even without the corner lot, there was plenty of room between the lots. This campground puts the full timers in the back of the campground which was also nice. They do keep up with the full timers here as there were very few that had dirty campers and there were no messy lots that I saw. Overall this was a very clean campground inside and out and the staff was extremely friendly. This is a gated campground and if you want to stay out past midnight you deposit $20 for an after hours card. We chose this option just in case and had no problem getting our deposit back. They have a doggy park as soon as you enter the campground so you can let your pooch out to exercise as you are checking in. There is an open area with a playground for the children. They have a swimming pond but no pool. There is no cable and the over air channels were spotty but the Wi-Fi was excellent and allowed streaming live television to your devices. The showers cost 25 cents for every 3 minutes. Be careful not to put more than one quarter in at a time because some people said that it did not give you more than 3 minutes. The pads for the pull through lots are gravel pads and all hook ups are convenient. Each lot has a fire pit and picnic table. The area has more wineries than you can visit in a week and there are charters for walleye and perch fishing on Lake Erie at the state park down the road. It's hard to go out on Lake Erie and not limit out on perch so happy fishing. Geneva On The Lake will take you back to the 70s for downtown strip entertainment with souvenir shops, game rooms, putt-putt, bars, etc. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the wineries in the area and spend some time on the strip at Geneva On The Lake (Be sure to visit one of the oldest Putt-Putt courses in the country) . There are charters for fishing on Lake Erie where perch fishing and walleye fishing is very popular. In Cleveland (approximately an hour away) you have sports venues, the Rock and Roll hall of fame and the flats entertainment. Close enough to visit the Football Hall of fame just to the south.

Closest we could get to Lake Erie, but only about 6 miles from Geneva-on-the-Lake. An adequate campground, with not a whole lot of amenities, but did have a nice playground for the kids. Rained quite a bit one day (1+"), and our site was surrounded by water for a couple of days. Positive, is that campground is gated, and must have code to get in. Power and sewer good location, but water spigot at rear of site, had to use 50' hose. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Geneva-on-the-Lake (tourist town) about 8 miles up the road with plenty of restaurants, and a nice walking trail at the State park lodge next to the lake. Lots of wineries in the Geneva area, if your into that. Had a tasty pizza at Capo's Pizza in Geneva

We stayed here for almost 2 weeks. The park is quiet and clean. You do have to pay .25 per 3 minutes of shower time. The rest rooms are very well taken care of. Grocery store is 5 minutes down the road. Large pull through sites. fire ring and picnic tables. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

An attractive and quiet campground. Entrance is gated with a keycode needed for entrance. From I-90 exit 218, drive 4.2 miles north on Ohio 534 which will take you through Geneva, OH. Signs on the left. Local roads are typical asphalt/concrete with some bumps and jiggles but nothing bad. Nice staff. CG roads are a mix of packed gravel and crushed asphalt, sufficiently wide with some trees lining the route. Turns are gentle; no overhead obstacles. Sites are long and spacious, crushed asphalt with mowed grass between sites. Good for big rigs. FHU-20/30/50. Level with water and electric at the rear and sewer nearer the middle. Picnic tables but no patios. Transient sites have ample sky for satellite antennas. Fires are permitted in fire rings. Firewood at $8 for a big bundle. Low pressure, municipal water with okay taste. Office store has trinkets, souvenirs, some RV supplies. New, clean, modern restrooms with pay showers; $0.25 for 3 minutes (score "A"). Propane sold by the tank; $23/20#, $28/30#. No laundry. Big, super playground, apparently new with something for all ages. Surface is shredded tires. No pool or spa. No cable. Free Wi-Fi which works well. Verizon coverage at 3-bars. Single stream recycling dumpster takes everything except Styrofoam. Fishing lake with a separate swimming lake. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Giant Eagle grocery on route 534. Drive about 10 miles west on US-20 to Madison for Wal-Mart, fast food, auto parts stores. Mentor RV (service, parts) is off I-90 exit 212. Diesel at interstate is $2.349, in Madison it's $2.229. Banks. No major restaurant chains until you get to Mentor, OH. Lowe's and Home Depot in Mentor. North to Geneva-on-the-Lake for mini-golf, Lake Erie access, street-side eateries but don't look for anything fancy and everything starts shutting down in late August.

We came in on Thurs and left Sun. Picnic table and fire ring on sites, nice space between sites. The only issue we had was the seasonals walk thru our site literally within in inches of where we were sitting on our site. We asked them to walk around and they got snarky. I talked to the office & they said ok. then the manager came over to us and said we swore at them. We did not. Then we had friends over, not extra fee. With the incident of the seasonals not sure we'll be back. You get a full 2 pg paper with rules they say are enforced, they are not. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is a bit of the hike from I-90 but not so far as to deter you from going. We drive a 45ft MH with a tow and the road to the campground winds through the little town of Geneva and down main street. This part of the road was a bit narrow but it worked out with some care and a little patience. The campground is quite nice as the overnight sites are level and nicely spaced between with some tall and some new trees. Internal roads are gravel and sites seem like a type of crushed asphalt which seemed like a nice surface particularly if it were raining. Utilities are to the middle of the pad and the sewer hook-ups look relatively new. They sit about six inches off the ground so it requires a lift of the hose but they are clean and this was not a problem for us. There are a few low branches through the campground and they have placed rocks along the sides of some of the lanes. We were however able to navigate in and out of the campground without taking off the car. The grounds were nicely manicured and the campground was clean and quiet. The campground store is bare basics. We did not use the rest room facilities but the building looked new and made of stone - probably makes a great storm shelter as well. Wifi was good for the purpose of email and web-surfing. We would return if we were in the area. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are some sites that might make navigating a big rig a little tricky because of tree placement. I asked at the desk for a site "with as few trees as possible" and we were put into site #7. Great site for satellite and tree placement.

Overall the park was very nice. Clean, spacious camping sites. Quiet, wooded nice pond. Restrooms and shower house very clean. Self contained so didn't use showers. There were a few problems we encountered. We could not get Wi-fi at all. I see other reviews where the people could. I called office, they could not tell me why or how to get it. TV channels-not good. Got some weird ones. The worst problem was the $5.00 charge for someone to pick us up at our campsite. We did not tow a car so had to walk across the campground to get picked up for dinner. We are in our 70's so it wasn't like we were trying to smuggle other guests in the campground to stay with us. Overall a nice place, but I think if wi-fi is advertised, it should work and the fee for pick-up should be revisited. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful RV park surrounded by farm land. A large area around the sides is taken by seasonals. Travelers like us are put in sites towards the front in a center area - close to the lovely pond. Sites are long and spacious. With many very tall trees - our site was a mix of sun and shade. Good 50 AMP full hookups. Good local TV and good WiFi. Folks are friendly and helpful. We spent 3 nights here. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Campsites are generally level and spaced enough apart that you don't feel like you are on top of your neighbor. I like that they left some tall trees here when they built the new campsites. The new shower/bath house is probably one of the nicest (and cleanest) that I've seen in a campground. Showers are pay showers, but you get consistent hot water, a good shower head, and ample space to change. Wifi is also the best I've encountered. Even on Saturday night we were able to connect with no issues. AT&T has LTE coverage here as well. Campground is gated with a passcode, and is close to downtown Geneva and Geneva-on-the-Lake. Will definitely return! We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The lady in the office was very nice. The sites are really long & you have a nice space between the sites. Each site has a little yard, a table & a fire pit. There is a catch & release lake on the property, as well as a swimming pond/lake & two playgrounds. We probably would've rated this a 10 if it had a laundromat & if the sites had been level & hard-packed. But our site was very unlevel & the gravel/asphalt was soft, so we had problems with our jack pads & getting leveled off. We did not use the restrooms/showers, but it is a new large building, so I'm sure they're good. They are supposed to be getting a laundromat too. Their wifi was very good. We would consider staying here again if they get the sites leveled & firmed up. We camped at Willow Lake Campground in a Motorhome.
