Apr 2018 - $18.00
Nice, quite, clean park. Friendly, helpful owners on-site. Owners just bought the park and are planning to add pull-through site, office, clubhouse and bathroom/showers. Would visit again. - Polgara1961
Sep 2011 - $30.00
Nice park but they placed us in a back-in site on a narrow one-way lane with the site slanted in the wrong direction and long term site across with flower box made of timbers right up to the road. My frustration almost drove me to leave while trying to park. Hook-ups were very deep in the site with one connection spot for four sites. They charged extra $2 a day if you wanted to run your A/C (never heard of that before). They advertise Wi-Fi but the only place you could pick it up was inside the office or standing outside by a window. Nice place for seasonal camping not so much for short term. - JTBuckeye
Sep 2011 - $28.00
This was our first trip there, wasn't too bad. Sites weren't real big but seemed well maintained. Staff we encountered were friendly, store was tidy. Most of the permanent campers were very nice. Getting around with a big camper may be a little tough. Restrooms could be a little bigger. - hink64
Sep 2005 - $30.00
We stayed here Labor Day Weekend. The park was crowded as expected. We stayed in the full hook-ups area. There are not many sites open in the full hook-up area, because of seasonal campers. The seasonal campers are neat and well kept like the rest of the park. The bad things about the campground were the narrow roads and the fishing pond. A huge fishing pond but only very little is open to fish from because of brush. Nice place for a group of tenters or smaller travel trailers. - coorslight
May 2019 - $89.00
Nice campground. Clean. We had a very long pull thru with patio and gas grille. Nice composite furniture. My biggest complaint is we had to pay $48 extra for 2 adults and $14 extra for my 4 year old daughter. Site price is only for 2 adults. We only stayed for 2 nights. Nice park just seems overpriced for the location. - Nickeagle
Oct 2018 - $63.00
Large park located out in the middle of farm country. 2 separate sections: one in the older section with shady sites spaced close together and one wide open with long pull throughs. We stayed on a Halloween holiday weekend, on a pull through, fhu site, hence the high price. Site was spacious with wide grassy area, unusual for a KOA. Some pull throughs had stamped patios with patio furniture, swings and gas grills. The trees in this section were medium to small so they provide little shade.
Wi-Fi was horrible. Only 1 hour free and even when I could connect - which was rare - page loads were so slow it timed out. Maybe it was because the park was full, but just a heads up: use your own hot spot or bring a jet pack. Cable channels were snowy (and I had my booster off!). Again, a full park so maybe signal was weak due to all sites hooking up to it.
The campstore was HUGE, the largest I've seen in a campground. Fully stocked with anything you'd need and then some. Full menu cafe - so much so that you'd not even have to bring food if you didn't want to. Lovely landscaping, friendly staff, spotless restrooms and laundry. Plenty of activities and ammenities for kids....although all that costs extra. - leaf peeper
Jul 2018 - $74.00
Holiday weekend. The $74 doesn't reflect the 10% KOA discount. We have stayed here off and on for 12 years. Once they became a "Resort" the pricing for everything went up! Charged for everything! Internet is only free for one device and it's worthless. Barely could get emails. Super friendly staff, immaculate grounds and spacious sites! Just be prepared to be nickeled and dimed. Some back ins are cheaper, pay extra for a pull thru. - Ohioan
Jul 2016 - $33.00
We were seasonal campers here for many years. We are retired and now find ourselves staying in Ohio more often. We look forward to returning here once again. The lake and the people are great. We even were able to have a dock and use our electric boat in the lake. A family run business that I hope will continue for many years. - jsipl
Jun 2016 - $38.00
We love this campground. Very clean and everyone is friendly. They have activities listed for most weekends along with fishing, boating, and a clean beach. We can't say enough good thing about this campground!! - Julie Ragsdale
Jun 2016 - $48.00
I had camped there before and was looking forward to camping there again,. Not, was I ever disappointed! No power for AC Units! And they blamed it on the Power Company, didn't offer any reimbursement! The staff just sat around and did nothing!
Plus I was looking for a permanent site for the season,,,. Wow , the price was way too high for what they had to offer!! The East Meadow was always my favorite, but what a disaster!! It looked like whoever was there last season, just up and left and left the deck all tore up and looked awful! Won't be back!!!!!
Found a much nicer campground where the owners care about what his place looks like!!! - old65manacampin
Aug 2017 - $15.00
The entry roads had several low hanging branches. the site was difficult to level and the hook ups were in the rear needing extra hoses. The RR were only cleaned in the morning and by afternoon they were quite messy. There was no wifi at site, but the tv did pick up a few local channels on rabbit ears. The dump station was ok. - Al and Anne-Marie
May 2010 - $28.00
Campground is approx 80% seasonal, lots of families, kids, golf carts. Quieted down pretty well at night. Roads are dirt (dusty) and extremely narrow; you have to pull off the road when other cars pass, thus advanced planning is necessary when towing a rig. This also makes it a challenge to back into a site with the seasonals all around. Most dissatisfied with the bathrooms away from the showerhouse, one of them was disgusting and not at all usable. Plan on a far walk to the clean one if your site is in the outer reaches. I don't see us returning. - WoodedOne
Jun 2007 - $25.00
I have been camping here for 6 years. Great family environment. Clean restrooms. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. Several activities throughout the year. Will continue to camp here each season. - wrc0531
May 2019 - $20.00
Quick, easy, and friendly checkin. Rained the first 2 days of our 6 day stay. Park does not drain well and there was standing water on many sites. All of the trails were a muddy mess, even 2 days after the rain stopped. Fellow campers were buying bales of hay to absorb water around their sites. Ours was one of the few full hookup sites with a concrete pad, but soggy all around. Very low water pressure even though park appeared to be about 20% occupied. ATT cell reception was minimal at best. - Movgfwd
Aug 2017 - $37.00
Typical State Park, nice trails, nice lake, camp host cleaned vacant sites diligently, crowded on the weekend, trail ended right at our site but no big bother, washer and dryer surprisingly available on site. Problem with water pressure. - Roadkraut
Aug 2017 - $28.00
Most of the sites were not very long and some had a fair incline, so larger rigs probably should take care to scope things out before selecting site. Lots of tall trees provide good mix of shade/sun. One shower house with flush toilets (and laundry) for over 250 sites; several vault toilets scattered through camping loops. Verizon and OTA TV signals good. - aowcarol
Aug 2011 - $24.00
We only camped here because we were attending a wedding. Lot's of really strange people living throughout the park, loud, rowdy etc. The showers were disgusting and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in sometime. The sites were big, but our 30 amp service kept tripping. My husband did use the pool and he said it was real nice and kept up. We would never stay here again. I am only guessing on the amount of sites, most of the sites are permanent, the ones out front are for transients, there could be about 30 of those. - User755
Aug 2018 - $35.00
Lots of seasonal campers with some really nice seasonal set-ups. There are 3 campgrounds , I stayed at Eagle Point that had some nice lake views. Some spots could be challenging to get level, and in some cases arriving after dark could be a challenge. - Cdr Bob
Oct 2016 - $20.00
Stayed a Eagle Point which is separate from the main campground. Showers and restrooms were nice and clean. Only 30 amp available. Water at several points and at the entrance. No sewers, however dump station is available. Sites are somewhat tight. Upper part of campground has seasonal campers and lower part can be reserved. If not reserved, first come fist served. Well patrolled by park rangers.
Reservations are made online and there is an $8.00 charge. - Wi1dBi11
Sep 2015 - $20.00
We stayed at the Main Camp which was very clean and spacious. The campsites were mostly seasonal, but they were well maintained. We really enjoyed the Main Camp and found it to be peaceful and quiet. The roads are easy to traverse and the site was level. We had 30 amp service but no other hookups, but for $20.00 a night it was fine.
The campsites down the road at Eagle Point, which is still part of this campground, were another story all together. There were a lot of older campers packed closely and most of the lots were not well maintained. There were many children and it was louder with more activity. - RNRVtravler
Aug 2018 - $38.00
Very nice campground, well laid out and maintained by husband & wife team. Biggest problem, grass sites very unlevel and soft and although it was a pull through, the neighbors were very close. No sewer connection, but owner does come with his "honey wagon" and pumps you out Mondays & Thursdays. There is a small pond on the property to "catch & release", the nearby town of Bellevue had virtually nothing, but only about 15 miles up the road was the town of Sandusky on the banks of Lake Erie where there was EVERYTHING. - Retired Wanderers
Jun 2018 - $34.00
This campground is a "jewel" along U.S. Route 20 and worth the 17 mile detour from I-80. Wonderful and helpful staff. Although there appears to be many seasonal and longer-term residents, the campground is remarkably clean. The internal roads are a bit narrow but navigable. - dandd
Jul 2017 - $19.00
Beautiful wooded park with pond and very nice pool. Close to highway but very quiet. - TJJ
May 2019 - $41.00
Great place and staff are great to work with. All hookups worked and no problems encountered. Site is gravel is easy to set up. Variety of site sizes based on RV or trailer size. - Catastrophie
Aug 2018 - $40.00
This is an older park, nice wide spaces on gravel. Staff nice and helpful. There are a lot of full time residents that live here. Very convenient off the interstate and still close enough for sort road trips. This is a great place to stop for a night or two. The only draw back is there is no WiFi. I was able to go to their office and use the hot spot. We went for a day trip to Port Clinton and Marble Head. Beautiful coastal towns on Lake Erie, within 20 miles - Tom-Sandy
Aug 2018 - $38.00
Convenient overnight stop near turnpike. - Sunnie-Wheelhouse
