Beautiful lake but awful campgrounds. Park is designed for seasonal campers, weekend campers are not liked and it shows. Only allow to prevent from being classified as a mobile home park. Drive in sites, especially around the lake, are not easy to use (on purpose to discourage drive in campers). No warning on the site. To be fair, after numerous complaints they did offer refund for our stay, but not much good after we drove 2 hours and had vacation planned, no where else to go last minute. Water front site but they rent docks along shore so limited view of the lake and no direct access (even after paying extra for water front site). Biggest complaint is that no way to know how poor the sites were in advance. If you go bring lots of blocking, you will need it. We camped at Seneca Lake Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

For a man-made lake, this place was sooooo relaxing. Very clean. Lots of places to eat and boat. Many 5th wheels are permanent and well maintained. We were there for a couple of weekend trips and the owners were very nice but not overly nosy. We are looking forward to more trips there. The only contact we had was with the guard at the entrance. Very friendly & helpful. The hookups and laundry facilities were very useful and user friendly. We camped at Seneca Lake Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

There is 2 campgrounds and I stayed at the one next to the Marina. The marina has a restaurant/bar, boat docking and rentals, camp supplies, etc. Lots of seasonal campers so most of the waterfront sites are taken. You can still get to the water though. This park/lake is run by a quasi government conservancy district, so it is a little basic on amenities. Lots of pine trees so grass can be hard to find. Mostly campers from the region and not too many transients. Nice place on a peninsula on the lake. Lots of kids on weekends. We camped at Seneca Lake Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Restrooms and showers were tile and very clean. Campground has a large number of seasonal units, not a lot of sites available for transient users. There are two different campgrounds; the one at the marina is flatter and easier to find a level site. Staff friendly; security very good - marked park ranger patrolled often. Not big rig friendly. Very family friendly. Lots of campers had big boats on their lots. I ended up with a site with electric only for the night; site was grass and a bit muddy due to recent rain. Electric voltage dropped below 110v with A/C and microwave on. This is a good place for the kids, with the lake close by and playground. Lots of kids riding bikes. We camped at Seneca Lake Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a park run by a watershed conservency district. It is on the edge of a large recreational lake. This campground is the newer of the two in the area, the beach campground. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are many seasonal campers here and the grounds are well maintained. There are few well shaded sites. The campground fills quickly on holiday weekends. We camped at Seneca Lake Park and Campground in a Tent Trailer.
