Aug 2017 - $37.00
Typical State Park, nice trails, nice lake, camp host cleaned vacant sites diligently, crowded on the weekend, trail ended right at our site but no big bother, washer and dryer surprisingly available on site. Problem with water pressure. - Roadkraut
Aug 2017 - $28.00
Most of the sites were not very long and some had a fair incline, so larger rigs probably should take care to scope things out before selecting site. Lots of tall trees provide good mix of shade/sun. One shower house with flush toilets (and laundry) for over 250 sites; several vault toilets scattered through camping loops. Verizon and OTA TV signals good. - aowcarol

$26.00 per night plus $8 Reserve America fee. Visited this campground for one night while traveling through. Very nice entrance off Rt 58. Nice, winding road back to the campground. Sign at registration office directed us to the Nature Center. Nobody was at the N.C. either so we proceeded to our reserved spot. Not at all what we expected. Site was definitely not the advertised 50' in length. We knew there weren't full hookups but expected to at least have water. Not so. Just electric. It's 2016...time to add water to each site. Quiet at night. Overall, pricey for just a little spot with an electric hook-up. Probably won't stay again when passing through the area. - The Other John Doe

If it is for just one night and you don't have any other option, well....but this really is a place full of seasonal, no sewer in the sites, and only 4 pull thru spaces, the back up spaces are not levelled....lots of mosquitos, and a lot of dog poop all over. - Didi5122

This is a huge park that is almost all full timers in house trailers, travel trailers, etc. Many are boaters with docks at the sites. There are a few primitive sites and trailer sites for nightly use. If you are stuck, during the week is acceptable. Small sites, no privacy and little vegetation. The power went out constantly and it was in the 90s; so that caused a lot of concern being gone during the day with a fridge full of food and a pet in the trailer. The staff is exceptional, very friendly, professional and helpful. If it is a weekend, opt for the rest stop on 90 as a more enjoyable one night stay. My last night was a Friday. The site behind me (since they are so small, on my site too) had about 40 people drinking, cussing, and playing corn hole. Also a lot of really bad country rock Karaoke. Folks constantly walked directly through your site to get to where they are going, in addition to unsupervised children . Really about the worst camper etiquette and management oversight situation I have encountered in 45 years of camping. Considering the size of the park, they really need to have some type of night supervision on site to keep things in check. - Robi

It is a seasonal campground. Only 4 pull thru sites. Bath house marginal and right next to very smelly dump station. It was quiet (no one there) but nothing else good to say about it. - Ascolo
