Very well kept campground for the most part. Some things were outdated, but there were always staff out doing upkeep and such so even the outdated areas were kept in good shape. There were lots of things to do for kids, and everything was included in the price of your site. The one downside to this is if you just want to sit and relax (e.g. not use any of the amenities) you're still paying for use because the sites are fairly expensive. They have a pool, lake for fishing, lake for paddle boats, etc., a jump pillow, putt-putt golf, and much more. They also have a large camp-store and little cafe, which wasn't too bad but is a little pricey. They also have "free" WiFi for use on one device per site, however it didn't work well and we ended up using our data (we were right up by the camp store). Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground. Clean. We had a very long pull thru with patio and gas grille. Nice composite furniture. My biggest complaint is we had to pay $48 extra for 2 adults and $14 extra for my 4 year old daughter. Site price is only for 2 adults. We only stayed for 2 nights. Nice park just seems overpriced for the location. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Large park located out in the middle of farm country. 2 separate sections: one in the older section with shady sites spaced close together and one wide open with long pull throughs. We stayed on a Halloween holiday weekend, on a pull through, fhu site, hence the high price. Site was spacious with wide grassy area, unusual for a KOA. Some pull throughs had stamped patios with patio furniture, swings and gas grills. The trees in this section were medium to small so they provide little shade.
Wi-Fi was horrible. Only 1 hour free and even when I could connect - which was rare - page loads were so slow it timed out. Maybe it was because the park was full, but just a heads up: use your own hot spot or bring a jet pack. Cable channels were snowy (and I had my booster off!). Again, a full park so maybe signal was weak due to all sites hooking up to it.
The campstore was HUGE, the largest I've seen in a campground. Fully stocked with anything you'd need and then some. Full menu cafe - so much so that you'd not even have to bring food if you didn't want to. Lovely landscaping, friendly staff, spotless restrooms and laundry. Plenty of activities and ammenities for kids....although all that costs extra. We

Tips for other Campers:
Shelby has a couple of decent restaurants. If you're liking DQ-style food, head to Paul's Drive-In (open seasonally). The 39 Diner has good comfort food at reasonable prices. The Vault (a wine bar located in a former bank) has good wines/beer but their food is expensive, IMO, and service was bad.

Holiday weekend. The $74 doesn't reflect the 10% KOA discount. We have stayed here off and on for 12 years. Once they became a "Resort" the pricing for everything went up! Charged for everything! Internet is only free for one device and it's worthless. Barely could get emails. Super friendly staff, immaculate grounds and spacious sites! Just be prepared to be nickeled and dimed. Some back ins are cheaper, pay extra for a pull thru. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Resort campground In the middle of nowhere. Do not use Gps to get there, follow the campground directions. About 8 miles west of Shelby. We stayed while attending races at Mid Ohio. 35 min drive to track. Only problem we had was one leg of our 50 amp circuit was not working correctly so we had to use the 30 amp circuit. Back in sites were close together and ours was hard to get into because of nearby trees. Gravel spots can develop puddles during rain, be careful where you put your door. We had to back our 30 footer in past the site gravel to get our rig to fit. They had lots of activities for kids and adults and a very well stocked camp store. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Run well, grounds are spotless. Could use some tree trimming on pull-through sites, but a great campground with large spaces and great staff.
Any spot selected will be nice and utilities will be as advertised and function. Owners very responsive to any issues small or big. A great campground worthy of the great ratings. We

Thos is a nice park. You can tell it is well maintained. Nice pool, jumping pillow, basketball court, tennis court, playground, K9 park. Huge pull through sites for even the biggest rig. The downside would be 2 people included in the site price, $7 a person thereafter. Loved it here and will return. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Motorhome.

This is now a resort campground. Awesome activities for kids and the whole family. The $68 doesn't reflect the 10% discount. And it was a Holiday weekend. The only complaint I'd have is the slow internet and you can only register one device, you pay for extra devices. The sites are huge and the grounds are emasculate! Even a full campground it stays quiet. Pool is resort style and super clean! Stay extremely friendly. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived 15 minutes early for 2pm check-in. Someone was in our site so we were more than willing to wait. At 2:15 we were advised that they were going to upgrade us to a patio site at no extra charge for the delay. The check-in was fast and friendly and the service outstanding. It was a holiday weekend and crowded but not one issue. Lots for the kids to do, although not included in the nightly rate. Peaceful country location. About 7 miles to town. My Verizon cell and MiFi worked fine. We were able to get satellite. They do have cable. One of the best KOAs we've ever been to. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:
The $70 rate reflects a patio site. Well worth the extra money. Our site was on the other side of the lake under the trees. The patio sites come with either a concrete patio or, like our site, a wood deck. Also included is a patio table with 4 chairs and a large swing, which was a nice touch. The owners have put a lot of time and effort into this campground and it shows. Very nicely landscaped throughout. The pool was the perfect temperature, as was the hot tub. Good food at reasonable prices in the Kafe. Well stocked store. Firewood was well seasoned and dry. They deliver it to your site as well as ice. Nice touch. If you run into the owners, be sure and say hi. They are very friendly. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Very nice park with many amenities and things for kids (and adults) to do. However, be prepared to pay for most of them. Very little is included with the fee you pay to camp there. They seem to nickel and dime you for any activity/amenity beyond swimming and play grounds. Mini golf, paddle boats, laser tag, zip line, jumping pillow - all fun things to do but each has an admission price. That's over and above the $5 fee you pay per person per day if you come with more than two people in your party. And if you travel with more than one vehicle - there's a $3 charge for that as well. I highly recommend that if you make reservations here, do so over the phone with someone at the actual resort instead of the KOA web site. I was given the impression that only one site type was available and consequently selected it. Naturally, it was one of the most expensive sites they offer, patio with swing and grill. However, when we got there we discovered there were several less expensive sites still available. But since we already set up camp, it wasn't worth making a fuss about once we discovered all the cheaper vacant spaces. Most of the park is maintained well. The exception to this is the mini-golf course. I imagine when it was initially put in, it was very nice. However it seems as though years of neglect and weeds have overrun it. Playing there was a disappointment especially when it cost $4.50/person. The laser tag is a great feature but the barely trained kid(s) running it need to explain the equipment and rules better to the people that paid $7/ea to play it. They basically said, "Here's your gun. Aim for your opponents head band. Ready, set, go!" Definitely a huge waste of money. All in all the campground has a lot to offer and is for the most part well run, clean, and professional. It's just a shame that they gouge their guests for so much. And since they're in the middle of nowhere, they seem to have a monopolistic attitude when it comes to pricing items in their general store. One thing that was nice was the fact that check out isn't until 2:00. That let us not feel as though we were rushed to leave like so many other campgrounds that have 11:00 or 12:00 check out. We will likely camp here again, but not more than once per season as this campground is truly one of the more expensive ones out there after you factor in all the additional expenses. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Friendly hands-on KOA owner. We had a beautiful site. No loud highways or trains, and we disagree with a former reviewer: it was easy to find, and right on our chosen route. Great showers, though we are not fans of those automatic shut-off handles we've been seeing lately. Strong 4G Mi-Fi. Would definitely stay here again.
