Loud, all day, all night. Not relaxing at all which is sad because it's a beautiful setting, full hookups available, not too crowded and packed with things to do. They have activities for the kids, an on-site store, town is close for everything you forgot to bring, playgrounds and a swimming area, lake (troll motor only), canoe rental and, the big problem, miles of ATV trails. The trails close at 11 but that doesn't stop people from zipping around the campsite at all hours of the night. There's a 10 mph speed limit posted for vehicles but the ATVS run full throttle. If they would restrict the ATVs to just the quieter ones and only to run from 10AM to 10PM, I would never leave this site. As it is, I'm never coming back and don't encourage anyone to visit either. Unless you're into ATV riding. If so, you'll be in heaven here. - malik0976

We have camped at Mineral Springs Lake Resort, at Peebles, Ohio, for 26 years. We spend at least 4 days a week at the lake from April to October. We have never had problems with any staff at the park. They have always been helpful and capable of doing a good job. We have noticed more ATV traffic each year. The present manager is working on this problem. He had a specific area for them but they do not stick to those areas. I am sure that the problem will be taken care of. We're looking forward to going back April 2009. - User683

Campground is very run down. Roads are very poor and not maintained. The staff is very unfriendly. The campground allows off road 4 wheelers which run around all day and most of the night and are destroying the place. Ruts in the road are so bad my camper drug the back jacks off of the unit pulling in to the dump station. When I talked to the owner his response was, "Too bad." The water pressure was so low we could not use our shower. I talked to other campers, and they all told me that since the new management has taken over the place has fallen apart. With the high 4 wheeler and golf cart traffic the place is not safe for the kids, and I would not advise anyone to stay at this campground. - davisnoh

Very nice. Used as an overnight stop. Lots of open green spaces and lovely lake. Stayed in the lower section directly on the water - no shade but good views. Sites in the 300 section have a margin of grass between, so while they are close together it doesn't feel too crowded. Lack of signage at the turn on North Shore Rd, or maybe we didn't see it in the pouring rain. - Flying Mantis
Oct 2018 - $38.00
The Lakeside loop has full hookups and is very big-rig friendly. There is decent distance between sites. There are no trees or other vegetation separating sites. The sites are paved and level. The upper campground is more crowded with some sites close together. There is a mixture of full hookups, electric only, and primitive. Many sites are shaded. Some of the sites are big-rig friendly, but many are not. There is a nice playground for the youngsters and disc golf and putt-putt available for the rest of us. There is also a good boat launch. A problem we noted was the camphosts would move the tables onto the middle of the site. When you arrived you had to get out and move the table. this could be a problem in bad weather or if you had physical limitations. There was no logical reason for this when we asked. - winnie1

This is a nice park. The only drawback was that the beach was a few miles away. The spaces were a little close but not right on top of each other. The staff and patrons were friendly and the facilities were clean. - rcsauce

This is not a destination campsite. This is somewhere to go if you plan on boating and need a place to stay overnight. There's a decent "backyard" to the sites but to the front and sides, it's sardine city. Big campers are backed up against a tree to the rear and your truck has to go somewhere else, there's no room onsite and less than five "guest parking" spaces.
You need to be darn good at maneuvering your rig to make it into the tiny spaces. If it wasn't for my husband driving tractor trailers for the past 15 years, there's no way we could've gotten in with a 36' camper and dually. Even he had to wiggle and twist for a good 10 minutes before nailing it, and we're really not sure at this point how to ever make it out. The people beside us came in later with a much smaller fifth wheel camper and a regular sized truck. Getting in was nearly impossible for them too. They had to cut the wheel hard, bringing the truck two inches from the shower house, to make it happen. This involved two people guiding the driver and a whole lot of adjustments and corrections.
Unleashed large dogs roam the campsite freely, owners trailing behind at a distance. I haven't noticed any owners trailing behind with cleanup bags either.
There's free wifi but no one offered up a password to access it.
Bring a pallet if you come here. Everyone else has them. If it rains, you'll quickly find out why you needed it. - malik0976
Aug 2010 - $25.00
The motorhome and travel trailer sites are level with gravel parking and grass in between sites. Facilities were clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to the campers. They walked the grounds every day and talked to the campers to make sure everything was OK. Easy access to Rock Fork Park and lake. We would stay here again. - Wayne Magill
May 2017 - $30.00
Stayed here for the first time on Memorial Day weekend. Since they don't take reservations, we drove up the Tuesday before (on a friend's advice) and grabbed two adjacent sites. To hold a site, you must place something there (RV, tent, car) and leave it. Normally you don't have to go up early but big crowds were expected for the holiday weekend. That prediction proved true, as the place was JAMMED. It's a huge, nicely cared for facility with great activities for kids. On busy weekends there is an ENDLESS parade of golf carts, bikes, cars and trucks from dawn into dark. Our two sites were level, wide, and tree shaded with 30/50 and water but no sewer. The full hookup sites are on one side of the park and are close together with hills and no shade. Staff members were friendly and attentive and security patrols through regularly. It's a rural atmosphere and is 15 miles off the main road on hilly winding rural roads. There was no cell signal (Verizon, but I'm told ATT works), wifi, or local TV. Many seasonal campers. Regular visitors told us the crowded conditions were due to the holiday and because the Summer attractions were opening that weekend. Normally, it's supposed to be easy to arrive and find a decent site. Great kid activities including pool and lake swimming with huge water slides, small boat rental, go carts, carousel, mini golf, huge arcade. Very family friendly! - CincyBuckeye
Oct 2014 - $30.00
Site was grass and clay and it was raining so lots of mud. Getting there is an adventure, curvy 2 lane roads. No cell reception, tv, wifi. Lots of permanent sites and you can hear people talking and radios playing(or cds). They have lots of stuff for kids but shut down Oct 1st. Doubt we would stay there again. Geared more for full time seasonal folks. - tlrpilot
May 2012 - $28.00
Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend, lots of people and very busy. They do NOT take reservations, so show up early to get a site on holiday weekends. Overnight sites are grass, some with full hook-up. You cannot pick any TV reception unless you have a satellite. All and all not a bad place to spend the weekend. - Andy7359
Sep 2017 - $30.00
Very friendly helpfully manager. CG on three levels paralleling the Ohio River, the upper two with close long stay trailers on either side of paved road. One small toilet and sink men and women building with no shower. River side gravel road with grass sites either side with water and electricity, well mowed. Great view of River. River sites mostly for transient campers. Frequent barges. Long trains across River but not noise annoying. One pavilion. I did not see a play ground. OK for an overnight. - 210jem
Sep 2016 - $20.00
My wife and I spent a weekend there celebrating our wedding anniversery. Although we did not use any of the facilitities other than electricity the park was very clean. The best part for us was watching and listening to the traffic on the Ohio River and exploring the small towns along the River. - TD75
Sep 2016 - $30.00
Family-oriented park alongside Ohio River. Nice clean level site and easy access to utilities with sewer in the rear. Some sites had very long sewer connects. Lots of annual sites and great patios and decks. Family fun. Owner very helpful in finding me a site on the holiday weekend. I would return again. Everyone was very nice and friendly there. - RamblynRose
Aug 2018 - $30.00
Excellent campground very clean. Very nice people and very helpful. Management is great. Would recommend this place. - marcia79
Apr 2016 - $35.00
A great stay when there for a race or open practice. Way cheaper than a hotel and much safer for your riding gear. Nice and quiet when there's no racing and great for a quick getaway. Having sewer and water is a great bonus. Open areas for kids to play and the staff is super nice. Geared more to racers so there's not the normal campground stuff. - ohbuffalo
