Many of the loops were closed due to flooding when we were there. Had a paved site close to the lake, but it wasn't level. Only one set of wheels on the ground after leveling. Sites were all back-in and had no water hookups, although there was a spigot across the road where we could fill our tanks before parking. Our friends camped across the road and their site was right next to another trailer with several family members who came in for the day. There were a lot of vehicles parked on the side of the road and lots of kids running around on bikes and scooters. Not a problem for us, but they were parked in the grass, set up the kiddie pool and a tent on their site and otherwise spread out toward our friend's site. The park ranger drove by several times without stopping, so we assume there is no vehicle/site limit. It was a nice park, but nothing to write home about. Wouldn't plan another trip here. - Safetylady01

This is an older COE campground that has its good and bad points. The good: most sites are well-spaced and you have plenty of room to spread out. The bad: the pads are rather narrow and there is not much paved area when you walk out of your camper door. If you want a water site, come early in the week as they are not reservable. No sewer sites, only dump station. The reservable sites are all on the interior of the campground loop. Sites in the non-electric loop could use some TLC. They are paved, but the pavement is breaking up badly on some of them. Cell service (AT&T), Verizon MiFi and Dish TV worked well at this campground. - Bobbi1948

Easy to get to from the Toll road, about 5.5 miles. Entrance road to the campground was not as bad as I expected. Campground is next to a Casino and a Racetrack, and shares a road. Could be very busy at times. Check in was fast, friendly. FHU and all worked as they should. No cable, WiFi did not work at all, the whole time we were there. Gravel roads and gravel sites, ours was level. Appears to be very nicely maintained. Very nice enclosed dog run. Clean and fresh restrooms and showers. We would stay here again if they would get the WiFi fixed. - Gladabout
Oct 2018 - $40.00
Lots of long term residents. People do not pick up after their dogs. The main road to the casino runs through the middle of the campground and lots of the folks ignore the 25 mph speed limit. Don't come here on a Saturday night and expect peace and quiet. At the other end of the campground from the Casino, there is a race tract for the local lawn mower and//or 4 wheeler races.....open exhaust. Just to the north someone close is shooting a pistol. During the week it is not so bad. After about 5 PM the WiFi dies, so don't expect much from it. - TXiceman1
Apr 2018 - $40.00
Entrance from main busy street is "pot-holed" and actual entrance/check-in drive is well marked with tight turns. Very limited info upon check-in as in" your site is" and hand you the CG map. No mention the water pressure is over 100 psi! Appears numerous sites are long-term seasonal racetrack occupied.
Pull through sites are gravel with over-grown grass showing no signs of recent
Use. - photoguy
Oct 2018 - $10.00
All sites have 30amp electric (no 50amp). No sites have sewer or water (although there are water spigots to fill your tanks somewhat nearby). The sites were not very level. I had to put the right side tires on blocks so that my leveling system would even attempt to level the RV. - Wandering With Us
Oct 2016 - $20.00
Nice office manager but said, "go find your site and come back and I'll charge you". I'm in a big rig. Not welcoming. Site was okay. No lake access due to cliffs around the lake, however, very pretty views. - mjf
Aug 2015 - $10.00
The campground was nice for its purpose. The 1st site we were scheduled to be on had too much of an incline and we could not level our motor home. Same thing with my brother in law. We were allowed to search for another spot and since no one else was in it during our stay, we moved over to site 41. Both our motor home and my brother in laws motor home are 37 and 35 feet. Smaller sizes, around 20 feet, were able to level on the incline. The campground only has 30 amps which was fine for us, but he had another couple staying with them, and they really needed 50 amps in order to run both air conditioners at night. The campground had lots of trees which significantly helped with shade and reduced heat for the summer days. We didn't go in bathrooms, etc so I cannot comment on them. I would stay here again and plan on returning when visiting family. - enjoyinglife
Apr 2019 - $35.00
We were heading home from our "winter home" and were just wanting a clean campground for one night. What a pleasant surprise - close to Casino, restaurant, and a race track! Staff was very friendly and very informative. - MamaLyn
Mar 2019 - $45.00
This was a stop over to a Good Sam Rally in Texas. The layout is very accommodating for just about any size rig. We have a 40' 5th wheel and no problems maneuvering and getting into and out of a spot. The sites were long enough we didn't have to unhook, since it was an overnight stay. We camped in #6. The campground is adjacent to a casino that has a restaurant as well and it has pretty good food. - SL592

Generally nice place, next to a horse track which is fun, and a casino. Fairly new park and good for a one night stop. - MWM

This campground has everything your RV needs. i.e., electric, water, and sewer. The sites are super close together and quite unlevel. The entire CG is on the slope of a hill and the campsites tilt from side to side. I phoned the CG a month ahead of time looking for a reservation and the manager said to just come on in, no reservation needed. This gave me the impression there would not be a lot of occupied sites. I was surprised to show up and find very few sites available. The vast majority of the sites appeared to be occupied on a long term basis by workers. There is no security and the CG is completely open to the adjoining highway. However, the area is generally quiet and appears to be safe. In all honesty, when we arrived we drove through the campground and decided to go somewhere else. It was not a good first impression. However, options in Claremore are extremely limited and we chose to stay knowing our stay would be short-term. - USMCRET
Oct 2018 - $40.00
This is a good place for a stop for overnight or longer. We stayed here to visit the Will Rogers Memorial and the Will Rogers birthplace ranch. The memorial is less than a mile from the park. All sites have a concrete pad and full hook ups. We were in site 10 and it was pretty level, with little adjustment. There are many seasonal sites in use here, but not many of the occupants were there while we were there. - therealSimpsons
Sep 2017 - $25.00
Nice wide asphalt roads, concrete sites. All are designed as back-ins but those on the south side can be used as pull-throughs. Sites are not level, but most aren't too bad. Some of our group used blocks under motorhome rear wheels, but not sure they were really necessary. Utilities are good. Free WIFI worked in meeting rooms, but not in the campground. Verizon reception was good. - AFChap
Sep 2017 - $37.00
Although a bit out of the way (about 3 mi. off the Interstate) for an overnight stay, CG was clean, site was very level concrete, trees and grass were green, trimmed and welcome. The pad was just long enough for our 44' rig, but there was ample nearby parking for our two vehicle. Nice picnic table and barbecue grill. CG host seemed a bit frazzled, but there was a horse event going on that might have presented challenges. All in all, a nice surprise of a park. - pnation53
Apr 2016 - $31.00
There aren't a lot of RV parks in this area and this one is an acceptable choice for a short term stay. All sites are pull through and all are the type where utility pedestals are located between two RVs which face in opposite directions. The sites are narrow and, as others have noted, quite short. Your tow vehicle or toad has to be parked along the roads or on the median near the playground. Fortunately, the roads are fairly wide so this doesn't present too much of an issue. There are large steel pylons used to mark the ends of each site but if you make your turns wide going in and out they don't represent a hazard. There are lots of long term residents here, but the sites are generally well kept up. The biggest issue with the park is that it can be very full on weekends if there are any events going on at the Expo Center and they don't accept reservations. We got there early, before 1pm, and that enabled us to get one of the 4 50A sites which are located on the far ends of the two main rows. The drill is to go in and select your site, then pay the host or put your money in the lockbox or go inside and pay at the Expo office. - docj
Nov 2015 - $27.00
This park is owned and operated by the City of Claremore. The park is fully paved with nice asphalt paved roads and concrete paved sites throughout the campground. All sites are pull-through. However the sites are in pairs, with the utilities for the pair of sites located in between the two sites, RV's pull in opposite to each other. Therefore the utility side is close to your neighbor. The other side of each site has a nice grass area with picnic table and charcoal grill. The sites will handle up to a 45 foot motorhome, but not long enough to also accommodate another vehicle. Therefore most campers park their car parallel to the roadway either behind or in front of your RV. There are previous comments about railroad noise. The Campground has a full time host on site. The main Claremore Expo building is directly to the north and there is also an indoor City recreation center directly to the west of the campground. The rail tracks are actually located about a third of a mile as the crow flies away from the park with may residential homes between the campground and the tracks. We did hear a lot of train traffic during the day, but very little at night. Personally, we did not find the train noise objectionable. There were quite a full longer term residents in the park, at least during our four day stay, which the park host told us were traveling trades workers. There is no park cable, however there are many over-the-air HDTV signals available from nearby Tulsa. The laundry is FREE, and therefore usually quite busy, particularly in the evening hours. Also be aware that there are only 4 sites in the park that have 50 amps service. We would highly recommend that you call before arriving as this park is full a good deal of the time. This will be our first choice for a campground on any return visits to the area. - Johnson's
Mar 2019 - $37.00
This is a ten spot overnight stop. I prefer this over the more expensive camp grounds in Tulsa, OK. Was fairly easy to exit the road and drive over to the campground which is a Fleet Repair Shop (Semi Trucks). Nice clean setting. - CamperAL
Oct 2018 - $30.00
Easy access right after the toll stood on I44.
No one answers phone on the weekends.
Only 10 spots, very clean and they have self check in. Excellent WiFi. Rxpensive given the level of service ($30 per night).
Impossible to sleep since there is on train with horn every hour and lots of road noise from the inter state.
Utilities are very far forward on the site. - BasilFawlty
Sep 2018 - $25.00
Still a great overnight or longer campground. No laundry or restrooms but clean, neat, long and level with excellent wifi. Great base for rte 66 travels. Truck stop near by and Cabin Diesel is on site for engine repairs. They do not do trash pick up. In the past they had trash containers at each site. They have been removed and a dumpster is located nearby site 1 for your trash. - peddy dick
Jun 2017 - $10.00
Well if you need an over nighter this is it. Only four sites for over night they have 16 but most are Full time workers. Over nighter. Not really bad and for $10 not bad. I'd stop again. For a over nighter. - JustDon
Apr 2017 - $20.00
Close to Vinita, easy to get to. Only a few spots for overnight, very old and in need of upgrades. - BobDiane
Aug 2016 - $25.00
Small state park I have camped at for years and over the years it has been good and bad but the park host now seam to be really trying to keep it clean and maintain it will the state cutbacks. ATT service was good and we enjoyed our stay. - Back to the basics
Apr 2012 - $18.00
The rate reflects a $2 seniors discount. This small park has 18 back-in RV sites with water and electric (20/30/50 amp), and 70 tent sites. All of the RV sites have a view of the lake. The volunteer hosts are friendly and helpful, and they put a lot of work into maintaining a clean facility, despite state budget cutbacks. The Verizon data signal is useable, albeit a bit slow, but the voice service is solid. All of the major TV networks are available via antenna. We will return again when we are in the area. - NYDutch
