Nov 2018 - $28.00
A small, self-service, "no frills" gravel RV Park right off the interstate. There are a handful of 50-amp sites and the rest are 30-amp. Tree branches prevented us from getting into a couple of the 50-amp sites with our big rig but we found one that worked for us. There was only one other RV there during our overnight stop. Highway noise is noticeable but not too bad. AT&T and Verizon work fine. We paid full price which even at $28 felt a bit high for what you get, but if you have Passport America the price is very good. I can't picture staying here more than one night, but as an overnight stop it is perfectly fine. - LifeRebooted
Aug 2018 - $24.00
Nice little campground. Perfect stop for an overnight. Far enough away from the highway that we really didn't hear it. Full hookups for only $24! Sewer is a bit far from electric post. Some shaded spots which we were able to get. Easy off/on. Restaurant open Tuesday-Friday. Host was closing up for the night but we managed to catch him. Very pleasant guy! Was pretty cool seeing the old gas station and imagining that this was the stop for truckers and travelers in its day. Will stay here again when passing through! Don't let the 'abandoned' look fool you! We enjoyed our stay. It's a no frills campground but worth the stay. We didn't use the bathrooms so can't comment on them. No gas at this exit. - Airstreamer69

Looking for a good overnight place on I-40? This will do. Easy off, easy on, easy navigation in park. Self checkin. FHU some 50 amp sites, most 30 amp. Sites level and a few have decent shade. Can't beat it for price also has laundry . Behind out of business restaurant - tbax46

Sep 2018 - $13.00
Sayre City Park is a great little campground to use when on I40. I saw other RV parks in the vicinity that were basically parking lots. Sayre offers plenty of room between rigs with mature trees and shade. There is a variety of back in or pull through sites. Many of the electric outlets were broken or worn. However, it was not busy so we were able to select another spot after spot checking with our cell phone charger. The bathrooms are what you'd expect for a site that has no location manager. The public uses and abuses it at will. Very quiet. Nice pass-through park. - WeGo2See
Jul 2018 - $12.00
We stayed for one night passing through. It was right and easy access from I-40. We wanted a place to plug in for the night to run our A/C. For $12 a night it was perfect. There were only two other campers there. There appear to be some transients as well, but they didn't come by us. - Ugly SAM
May 2018 - $12.00
This park must be a well kept secret that is a little gem. The price is better than reasonable. The place had very few campers so we had the place pretty much to ourselves. Payment is on the honor system which is why I rated at a 3; we saw no one but we needed no one.The roads are easily maneuvered while driving on gravel. The sites are large, pull through and gravel. They can be a bit unlevel but it was not a problem for us. Our satellite worked well as there was no cable. We had 30 amp electric and water. The place was just a couple of miles from interstate 40, easy off and on, but very quiet. It is part of a large city park complex. This is a true bargain, quiet and peaceful. We would stay here again for sure. - CAdreamers

Nov 2018 - $18.00
This is a no frills campground, Pull Throughs are Long, Good AT&T Cell & 4 bars of LTE data, Dish Sat & OTA's reception is good, Quiet, clean & organized. I agree with all the good things said by previous reviewers. The entry to the park has been upgraded to straight in from the highway making it an easy in and out. - Lugnuts
Oct 2018 - $19.00
This park is a work in progress. No showers or restrooms yet but the laundry room has two washers/dryers and is FREE. There is a nice outdoor community area but the weather was not conducive to socializing. Easily accessible from I40 but you can't really hear the highway traffic. WB the turn into the entrance is a little sharp but using the deserted gas station entrance makes it easier. Steep hill going into the park. We arrived with no reservations and had our choice of sites. The owner showed us the sites and then registered us at the site. We were in one of the sites furthest from the WiFi so it wasn't always the best. We were able to get 22 channels OTA. Rate reflects weekly rate of $135. - Betsy_02
Oct 2018 - $18.00
Located exactly half way between Amarillo, TX and Oklahoma City, OK, this is a gem of a park just off I-40. We made reservations in June, and since that time, the park was sold. We had to change some dates, and the new owners, Loren & Cindy were very accommodating. The new owners are on-site and meet you upon arrival, guiding you to your site and making sure all is well. Our site was very level and needed little adjustment. - therealSimpsons

Nov 2016 - $15.00
A very basic RV Park, good for over night stay. - From the Kites
Aug 2016 - $15.00
Just a gravel lot with full hook ups. The full hook ups were fine. Great for just an overnight stay as long as you are self sustaining with regard to bathroom, shower and ability to cook. It is worth the price with the full hook up available. - Alamo_GQ88310
Aug 2016 - $15.00
When we arrived we immediately knew we wouldn't be staying. Really, the whole town is very run down. The gravel lot that calls itself a self-serve campground was only inhabited by two other RVs that looked permanent. The electric hookups looked too old to even touch for fear of getting shocked, or shorting out our rig. The whole place gave us a bad vibe, so we checked the internet and moved on to the next state to a safe place. - CAcamping

Nov 2018 - $20.00
This is a park is located on Route 83 just a few blocks North of I-40. The Full Hook Up RV park is a 'No Frills' place - attached to a restaurant called the Mesquite Canyon. The Sister of The Restaurant Owner owns the RV Park. Therefore, you go pay your nightly fee ($20.00 per night) in the restaurant. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, and the food (and service) were excellent! This park is simple, with no amenities, but is a great spot to spend the night. We'll stay here again. - Todd and Heather
Sep 2018 - $20.00
This is a park attached to a restaurant called the Mesquite Canyon. You go pay your $20.00 in the restaurant. This park is simple but a great spot for the night. Our dog had space to run around in. The sunset was magnificent! It had electric, water and dump. If we were ever coming through here again, we would stay here. - Brandl
Dec 2017 - $20.00
This is a no frills, full hook up RV Park. Choose your site and pay at the restaurant next door. Sites are VERY uneven gravel. Park is well lit at night, so I felt safe. Lots of highway noise and gunshots from the farm across the road- but I travel with ear plugs for sleeping - so not a problem. Grass is full of burrs, so walking a dog is not ideal. It appears that most guests do not pick up after their dogs. This RV Park is OK for a place to stop - better than a Walmart parking lot. - CJVJn1Doug

Mar 2016 - $15.00
Very basic overnight stay. Cable was great. Level site. Sewer connection was clogged so make sure it is working before you start to dump. In spite of that, it was a good relaxing stop for the money. Sites had some shade and the site surface was gravel. - happy nomad
Oct 2014 - $0.00
This is the only park in 7 years that we drove right through and did not stop. It was just too scary. We could not see where there was any spot available anyway. We tried the other park in town but it is closed. There is a wonderful county park 7 miles north of Wellington, which I have reviewed. - johnanann
Jun 2013 - $14.00
This RV Park is just a gravel parking lot with hookups. It is far enough off of I-40 so you don't get any highway noise. The manager is friendly & helpful. The sites do not have any amenities. There are many full-timers in the park who work local construction. There are not many large pull thru sites available. It is barely OK for one nite's stay, but the price is right! If I had a new RV, I would not stay. - Michael Kibler
