We only stayed a few days but would've stayed longer if we had time. Loved having water, electric, sewer, and WIFI! The owner was laid back and friendly. Being right down the road from the Ralph's Resort boat ramp was convenient. - MorrisM

This park was full and all the best sites with a view are taken by full time people who live here. The restrooms and showers both men and women were in need of cleaning. We came to take grandkids swimming at the beach across the street. There were a couple hundred kids there and almost no place to swim or toss down a towel, so I guess every soldier here brought the kids out so swim. If you are not military you now have to enter thru the visitors center on Sheridian Street and Highway 62, about 20 miles away to get your visitors pass which is good up to a week I think. Then you have to drive your RV all the way thru the base at 20-35 miles per hour for about 20 miles. If you are passing thru this is not handy and takes lots of time, but if you are here for a military function on base it is great. Note: Most cell phones do not work here, and wifi is iffy at best. The little store only has snacks so be sure to buy food before you come. This is a military base, no guns, ammo, or knives with a blade more than 3 inches. You concealed carry permit is not legal on this base, nor your gun. You can register a gun to bring on base, but it goes into a national federal database, if that matters to you. - SWTravelors

Nice area by lake, but no shade trees. Large spaces, but no cable & had to be outside to get 4G cell service. It's on Ft. Sill so it's a bit of a hassle getting on & off base and the artillery being shot will shake your rv some! Park has nice facilities & play areas for kids! Not sure if we'll stay there again. Don't like not having use of my phone. - User3413

Only one hour and twenty minutes from Wichita Falls, on the Army Base. Clearest lake of Oklahoma with sandy beach and water slides. Great fishing from shore or boat, we did both. No wake lake. Great views of the mountains. Good biking on the back road on base. Store was not stocked very well, apart from some ice cream. Because of the full hookups nobody uses the bath house much and this could be improved. Cabins also available. You can rent all kinds of stuff for on the water. We love this place. - texasbirdie

This is also known as the White Wolf crossing campground if you are on post. If you are not military you must enter post at the Sheridan Road gate and get a pass for each individual coming on post. The campground can be entered by a couple of different routes, but both allow for easy access to the campground. This is along the Medicine Creek and across the road from the outdoor rec center. The golf course is adjacent and just to the north, so the area is very quiet except for some rush hour traffic. Water is good and some sites have 50 amp service. Most people overlook this campground. It was about 1/2 full.
The sites on the north side have sewer, water and 50 amp. Did not find any cable connections. The restrooms are right behind the sites on the north side.
A housing area is on the south side of the creek. There is a pool there, but you have to check at the adjacent office about access if not military. - okdiver

Stayed here while visiting Wichita Mtns and Medicine Park. Very friendly and helpful camp hosts (onsite). They will take credit cards but extra charge if you use it. Cash, checks OK. Gravel spot, level and good utilities. Wifi hard to use on phone inside camper but we have an external antennae on top of RV and it picked up good signal at night on computer. - threehendersons

This was a short stay. We scheduled last minute, so they were the only place with availability. Would have preferred to be closer to the lake but it worked out fine. Lots had a sunny and open exposure. Site surface was gravel and grass. - AngMo

This is not a park for a large motorhome. We had a hard time getting into a pull-through site. The gentleman told me when I called, I would be able leave my car on the dolly, but I had to take car off the dolly when I got there. The sewer hook-up at the front of the coach was higher than the utility hook-ups on my coach so I couldn't use it. No restrooms or showers so this place is pricey for what we got. In the morning, we couldn't pull through because road was too narrow: so we had to unhook the dolly and back out. I would not stay here again. - CeciliaRV
May 2009 - $30.00
The best thing about this Park is the view of the lake and the surrounding mountains (yes mountains in Oklahoma). It is approximately 5 to 6 miles off the Interstate and works OK for overnight. The sites were average size. I would guess that at least 2/3 of the Park are seasonal residents with well maintained RV's and property. There is no TV or WIFI, and there is also no showers or restrooms. - DavyD
Mar 2009 - $30.00
The middle row of sites are heavily sloped, and the sewer drop is at the high end of the site. It is virtually impossible to dump from a low motorhome. With any type rig, to dump requires 2 long sewage hoses with a support under both of them, and still you must "walk" the sewage out of the hoses multiple times to accomplish dumping sewage. I cannot recommend this park until they solve the horrible engineering of the sewer drops. It is a sanitation nightmare. - AC7880

All sites at Lawtonka East park have a wonderful view of the lake. They all have a cement patio that is covered and has a grill, picnic table and fish cleaning table. Sites closest to the lake were $20 With no discount available. Sites furthest from the lake were $17 or $13 for seniors. You pick an open spot and they will come around to collect the fees, which are posed at each site. Electric boxes are not well placed if you are in a motor home and would like your door to face patio, but that was not important during our stay as it was freezing cold with gale force winds. There is a dump station and water stations are available throughout the park. You must fill your tank since no direct water hookups are allowed. The restroom/showers were clean and the water was hot. The building is older, but we'll maintained. Our rig would not connect correctly to the 50 amp at first and they sent someone over quickly to check it. The 30 amp was fine. The maintenance people said it checked out fine, which is something we have had happen a few times before since the surge protector on our MH is very sensitive. When I tried the 50 amp after they left, it was fine. This is a beautiful spot and close to Medicine Park, Fort Sill and Lawton. It is first come first serve. I could not find a phone number to check on availability, but guess that is not a problem when it us 25 degrees. It gets busy later in the year. - ahmavic
Mar 2017 - $13.00
We had to ask a camper to learn that Premium sites had a green shelter and Non-premium sites had tan coloured shelter. One small bathroom for all CG. Showers had no seats, hooks, racks or curtain and had to put towels, clothing, kit on the dirty floor. One water spigot near bath for entire CG. Had to drive across grass to access site, elec pods on wrong side for TT door to face lake. Nicely level site, every site had shelter w table & grill. Poorly marked entrance off hiway, confusing directions at entrance, no pay station, employees collect payments. $13 is a "Senior Rate". - dave3114
Nov 2016 - $15.00
This is a nice city park with electric only. Water is available to fill up your tanks and there is a dump. We were in a premium site next to the water. The $15 rate is the "off season" rate for the premium sites. There are also other sites that are cheaper and offer a senior discount. There isn't much in the way of shade here but we didn't need it in November. The views of the Wichita Mountains are spectacular. The electric worked well. Probably the only negative was that the sites are not well defined and you drive over grass to get to your site. It had rained the day we arrived and we had lots of mud on our rig. Would stay here again. - jacknpeg

The concrete pads at lakeside were back ins and there were some deep erosion ruts around the sites. We chose a site further from the lake also with concrete pad but at a reduced rate. In order to get to the campground you have to drive through a residential area and the streets are narrow. - Betsy_02
Nov 2017 - $15.00
Some very nice back-in sites, nice views of lake and Wichita mountains. Adjacent to small store, very helpful employees, best pizza I have had in years. Quiet at night, but had a few children playing during daytime. Ignore comment on toad vehicle, (I carry a motorcycle on my 30' class A), but looked tight for large rigs, great for 5r, small class A. Has dump station near entrance. Will certainly return. - winnie bago
Mar 2017 - $20.00
Nice city rv park. Wonderful view of Mt. Scott and great for kayaking. Bathhouse was nice and clean. Small playground for the kids. Quite a few sites are water front. Not a good place for swimming though. Other sites are in a small grove of trees and some away from the water with not too much shade. Close to Lawton for groceries and movie theaters. No sewer but all sites have water and electric. Very quiet park. Come here at least a couple times a year. - Fonda

Barking dogs, low water pressure, bathrooms needed a thorough cleaning due to nasty toilet bowls, dead bugs everywhere, cobwebs in obvious places. Utilities at back of nice concrete pad (pad sloped on end where utilities are), bring extra sewer hose. - Bossgreen
May 2017 - $32.00
Stayed here a week for military reunion. RV park is right of I44 and very close to Lawton/Fort Sill and area activities which is why we camped there. Actual RV sites were fine with concrete level pads, decent space between sites however no shade or trees in park, with water pressure and electricity being very good. Park amenities beyond actual sites sucked. Owners/managers were never around - only contact was a phone number. Wife used free laundry twice and trash was still there 4 days later and the rec room had bugs on floor the entire time. Checked washrooms/showers and would never use them. Problem with park is that NO maintenance/cleaning was ever done to buildings when we were there. Owners/managers seem to have no interest in park other than your money. Will only stay again because closeness to Fort Sill. - SWAMP
Apr 2016 - $32.00
The entry into the park was a challenge for a 40' RV towing a full-sized pickup. If anyone had been parked in front of the office we would not have been able to make the turn. No one was in the office at 2 PM when we arrived and had to call the posted phone number. Someone came about 5 minutes after I spoke with him, along with his three dogs who tried to enter our coach. The site was adequate for a 2-night stop. He did indicate that the washers and dryers were free, but we did not verify this. - JanW

Jun 2015 - $23.00
The only positive thing to be said is 'it was a place to park and that is stretching it.' We travel to different states for work assignments. The other 2 local campgrounds in Chickasha OK were full so this was the only option.
The entire grounds area is crushed stone, one dumpster with garbage on the ground around it. There is no office/restrooms etc. When we arrived we had to go to several campers to find out where the on site person was and when found he had an attitude 'deal with it' and then a few minutes later came to assist. He did advise us of the tornado shelter (looks like an empty tractor trailer with 2 roof fans buried in a hole/mound in the ground with stepping stones up the mound- I am guessing its a ladder to get inside-not great for bad hip and a service dog). There are free roaming dogs that belong in the park. Payment is an honor system- envelopes and locked box. Advertises on envelopes for cash/check/online (which is not available). - witchey1
