Stayed here after previously using another park in Vernon. While this one is small with no amenities, if offers a good place to spend the night or a few. It's reasonably priced ($90 for the week)and the hookups all work. If it had Wi-Fi, I would score it higher. It's easy to find and the managers are very cordial. We will use it again and we stay in this area several times a year. - tbax46

This place has been spruced up quite a bit (!) since our last stay a few years back. They're definitely doing what they can with what I presume is an old converted KOA. New paint everywhere even the power boxes, lawn mowed, trees trimmed, clean, no trash about. Most of the park seems to be long term but its easy in/out for overnighting. Sites may have been gravel at one time but are now mostly grass but level. They'd had lots of rain prior to our stay and I didn't see any soft spots. Wifi was some of the best I've seen in RV parks that have been lot prettier and pricier. Verizon 4g is good if needed. Friendly staff. Put together, one of the better values along this road. No doubt I'd stay again. - fulltimer121

Easy to get to, check in was pleasant, we were lead to our site, hooking up was easy, and the site was fairly level. The campground is next to a regular Walmart, so walked over there. The office has an exchange library and DVDs to rent. Mostly it was quiet and a good two night stay. Would definitely recommend this campground. - Lke

First time here. The lady that checked us in was very nice and took us to our level site. Full hookups and all worked well. I gave this place a 7 because of all the train noise and train horns. I really like trains but not while I am trying to sleep. Walmart and fuel next door. A few places like McDonald's, Braums, BBQ, were very close. - Robert and Monica

Very small park with no services, on base, open to those with military affiliation only. No bathrooms or showers. Run by Outdoor Recreation, and the customer service was great. Good wifi and cell signal. Right across the street from the commissary. Decent value, although this isn't much of a place to visit, just a stopping over point. Lots of aircraft noise into the late hours of the night. All sites back in. - KAP99

I spent one night here in my teardrop trailer and enjoyed the overall experience. Lovely park. The camp host was friendly and helpful, and the restrooms were clean enough. I paid for my shower with quarters, but that was okay since the water was hot. I do have two beefs related to the restroom/shower setup. First, while there was a paved parking area between the facilities and the main road, from my campsite I had to walk across an extensive grass lawn to access the restroom/shower building. Surely the state of Oklahoma could provide a sidewalk to help campers get there from their camp sites without having to trudge through wet grass in the morning. My second beef was with the spiders-not all of them teeny-tiny either!-running around inside the shower room. Now, I happen to appreciate spiders and their important role in the ecosystem, but this was a true turn-off. Hard to relax and enjoy your nice hot shower when you've got creepy-crawlies sharing your space. - NMCamper

This park is a fisher's delight, but also good for nature lovers. It is clean, including private bathrooms - which contain a sink, toilet and shower. Large sites with nice grass; no bad stickers for dog. Few trees for shade. Our lakeside site had no sewer. Just about all had water views. Trails are many and mostly require moderate hiking skill. - Okiedoke
Sep 2016 - $23.00
The park was well kept, but had minimal shade. Very level site, we stayed in #32. The campground is very scenic. There are not full hookups available right at the lake. It was nice, but definitely needs more shade trees around the sites. We stayed here for Labor Day weekend, so all the sites were full. Was able to use both Sprint and Verizon wireless, with good reception. Dish Network was also easily accessible. - KLenore
