This KOA is not much to look at, but it is conveniently located off I-44 just across the Red River into Texas. They do have a drainage problem, and when it rains your site could be an island. The staff and management is friendly and helpful. We were led to a site that was high & dry. The interior roads are gravel and mud, and after it rains, which it just had, they are mud and water. I was told they are trying to grade them, when it stops raining. They kind of need a rebuild. The center rows of sites are all pull-thrus with two rows of opposing entry. There are back-ins around the perimeter mainly for permanents. Our site was gravel and level, but because of the rain the ground was quite soggy. You are quite close to your patio neighbor. At $41 I thought it was a little pricey for what you get. The hook-ups are close together and accessible, but some electric boxes are quite close to the ground. The cable TV was not very good so we opted to use the antenna. The Wi-Fi was adequate. The voltage and water pressure were good. Despite its warts, this is a nice park, and I will return here. - Martini

Mostly pull-thru's with opposing entrances so people traveling together can open onto a common area in-between. Wi-fi dependable, even during peak hours. Spaces VERY close together. Long-term residents obviously not required to maintain their sites which gives the entire campground a junky feel. Mow large patches of grass occasionally but don't seem to know how to use a weed-eater, so almost all utilities are almost lost in the tall grass. - Scldg

The is a below average KOA with an above average price. The service at the desk was very good, however, unlike many other KOAs they did not guide you to your space. There were several very shabby trailers in the park including one motorhome with a window a/c stuck in a window and sealed around with pillows. I know the park is unable to control the weather but I do think they should be able to fill in low spots in the spaces and roads. When we were in the park there was a rain storm that left us literally wading in the morning to hook up and get on the road. I would not stay at this park again if we were traveling through that area. - Chalkie

We stayed at this park a total of 45 minutes. Thats how long it took to find a site that came close to working for us, in the end we left. The park is city owned and well maintained but it is old and poorly designed for today's RVs. If you have a 28' or less size RV this park will work for you. Anything larger and you will be challenged by the length of the sites, where the connections are and the tight unmarked roads. All of the back in sites power and water are at the front of the site so 50' water hoses will be needed as well as extension power cords. Many sites share a power pedestal so if you arrive late you chances are you will not have the 50 amp outlet. The one of a couple of sites that we fit in (40') had this problem and the smaller RV would not give up the 50 amp connection. There are shade trees which is nice but the fact that they are not trimmed back and scrape your roof and side is not good. We left for a real RV park and left this city park to the snobby euro-campers that it seems to attract. - Maximilian

High marks for value. This was our second stay here, sites here are so level we did not bother to use our jacks. We were in the middle row that has shared electric boxes, 50, 30 & 20. So our site #15 had the 50 amp, the site next to us would have had the 30 amp. A great easy off, easy on RV park when passing thru the area. I don't believe the earlier review about 'sketchy people' walking thru the park, it is possible though. That reviewer has 1 review, so I wonder if he owns a park nearby. OTA TV was very good. There is a suspension bridge across the river to a nice walking trail that goes along the river. - Bob and Inga

City RV park adjacent to beautiful city park. Well lit, paved, self service place. Only complaint is stickers in the grass ..my poor dog.. A few car sleepers late at night but they were gone in the am. Our second time here. We stayed this time to ride out some bad weather. - TXTread

Quick 1-night stop heading back to CA. very long pull thru sites. A bit on the narrow side but long enough for my 40 ft RV and tow and room to spare. Park has a beautiful little lake/grassy area. An adorable dog park although not fenced and a little close to the road. Owners super friendly and nice. Enjoyed the evening there. Easy access off the road and would definitely stay again. - Connie Garrett
