This is by far my favorite place to camp. The view of grand lake is awesome. The people here are extremely friendly and helpful. There is an outdoor pool an indoor pool, teen center, activities every weekend in the summer months for adults and kids, mini golf, b ball court, tennis court, tether ball, very large pavilion, cabins, tent sites, camper sites, boat docks and on site store. The on site store is very reasonably priced. Set 442 is my favorite site in the whole campground...view of lake is spectacular. We camped at Pine Island RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The biggest negative to this campground is getting here. Narrow 2 lane roads with blind curves and hilly. Plan on dodging tree branches. The closest town is Jay, about 12 miles away. As other reviews have said, it needs some TLC. The CG was not busy so we scored probably the best site in the whole place. Check-in was quick and since we had not been here before, we were escorted to the section they thought best for our size and needs. The campground has plenty of amenities both indoor and outdoor pools, outdoor pool was not open yet. The section we were in is not part of the main area. We had to go back out the main entrance travel about a half mile to go through a security gate to get to our section. Roads inside are decent, some potholes but overall not bad. They have 2 recreation areas for children. Did not see a dog run. The CG has it's own boat ramp. The closest town is Grove - it has a Super Walmart with gas station. The Grand Lake O' the Cherokees is the main attraction for water sports etc. We camped at Pine Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is an older Coast-to-Coast park that needs updating. We were able to get a site overlooking Grand Lake since there were very few people in the campground. The park roads are narrow and our big rig hit a few limbs coming & going through the park. Our site was unlevel and we had to use leveling blocks on our front wheels. The full hookups worked well and the park's WiFi service was slow but usable most of the time (we had to reconnect several times while we were there). Most of the sites are underneath trees, so getting a satellite connection would be difficult in the summertime. We had a great view of the lake. Our AT&T service worked well in the park. A number of the sites have only 30 amp service (we got one with 50 amp). We camped at Pine Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We visited Natural Falls State Park & Will Rogers Memorial Museum (both about 1 hours away opposite directions) during our stay and enjoyed both.

We have traveled from Washington state to Oklahoma to visit with family. We chose to stay here because it was one of Coast to Coast /RPI membership We were not satisfied. We have a large motor home and the roads were steep . The campground was not equipped for large RV. The place is in need of repairs. We camped at Pine Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very friendly facility. Welcome was wonderful. Very large long sites. We came through during tornado weather. First warning we have experienced. Everyone kept us calm. Nice little store in welcome center. Gave us the option to use our points or pay $10. This is a Good Sam, RPI, Coast to Coast, Passport America and many other ways to discount. Facilities are older but well maintained. Lots of fishing facilities. Showers were older but clean with HOT water. Nice laundry, $1.50 wash and $1.25 dry. Propane service on site. Good free Wi-Fi. about a third of sites are owned privately. Two pools, one outside one inside. They accept mail for visitors. The only negative was that we had last year's insulation from water pipes laying around our site. We camped at Pine Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Kick back and relax, this is a secluded campground. If need be, Grove is the biggest town, and Jay is closest.

The rate reflects a Passport America discount. This is an older park which needs a bit of care. The picnic table at the site next to me was broken and unusable. The sites could have been a bit better kept. There was trash around the fenced areas. It is in a beautiful part of the state. It was rainy so I didn't explore much. TV reception was good. The Wi-Fi was OK but the park was fairly empty so that may have helped. It is remote and very quiet. Worth the price! We camped at Pine Island RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

When arriving we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. However, when we telephoned a day ahead we were not informed that the outdoor pool was unusable and there are no swimming beaches on the lake. The indoor pool bottom looked dirty so we did not want to use it. Our site was large with good TV reception, Wi-Fi, and 50amp. Many of the other sites could use some TLC and the rental trailers detract from the overall appearance of the park. The restrooms and showers were immaculate and clubhouse had a great view and was a nice size. There did seem to be activities each day from which to choose. We camped at Pine Island RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is secluded and well off the main road, about 17 miles out of Grove. If you're coming from the South, your GPS may tell you to take 127 into the resort before you reach Jay. That was a bit scary for us pulling a 24' travel trailer. Anything larger may have problems or just give you white knuckles. Narrow, windy with steep and stubby hills/ravines. Just go through Jay and make a left onto 127 while heading into Grove. A much smoother ride. You will see the sign for Pine Island Resort just past a gas station (Phillips 66), about 7 miles before Grove. Pros: Clean, very friendly and accommodating staff, remote locations, wildlife, trails, fishing, and more. They are building a new welcome center to open soon. Cons: Several rental trailers sit empty at a few sites. A couple of these are rundown and should be removed. There are two sides to this resort: members and non-members. The member side sits high above and overlooks the lake. You cannot see the lake from the non-member side. Non-members do have access to all of the amenities on the members side. You can walk, ride bikes or drive over to the member side. We did enjoy our two night stay. We recommend the Har-Ber Village in Grove. There's a little cafe there called the Back Porch Cafe. Great sweet potato fries and home made coconut cream pie! We camped at Pine Island RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Okay this has got to be the best campground on or near Grand Lake! We looked into others but this one has everything needed for kids to have a good time as well as adults. All the way down to an indoor pool/outdoor pool. It has scheduled crafts for both, game room, movies and putt putt to boot. There is a hiking trail that you can frequently see deer and other animals as well as many mature trees for shade. We liked it so much that after one night we bought a membership and spent the rest of our vacation with a view over looking Grand Lake not a bad way to start or end the day. Also if you're staying for two weeks it's cheaper to buy a membership. We camped at Pine Island RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here as guests, and liked it so much we decided to purchase a membership. Park staff were very friendly. Park is maintained well and there is a great view of Grand Lake from the Eagle's Nest. Only downside is the road to get to the park is winding and has some overhanging trees. It was well worth the drive in though! We plan to spend several weeks a year here. They accept Passport America and Coast to Coast. We camped at Pine Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely campground that has sites overlooking a beautiful lake. The roads are good. The campground has just about everything; indoor heated pool, outdoor pool, heated indoor fishing dock (I heard they were pulling 50-60 lb catfish out this summer), small store, etc. We stayed on a site that had a gorgeous view overlooking a good sized lake that had a lot of character. We could see ourselves staying a month here, but, we only have a week. DARN! We camped at Pine Island RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
