All sites at Lawtonka East park have a wonderful view of the lake. They all have a cement patio that is covered and has a grill, picnic table and fish cleaning table. Sites closest to the lake were $20 With no discount available. Sites furthest from the lake were $17 or $13 for seniors. You pick an open spot and they will come around to collect the fees, which are posed at each site. Electric boxes are not well placed if you are in a motor home and would like your door to face patio, but that was not important during our stay as it was freezing cold with gale force winds. There is a dump station and water stations are available throughout the park. You must fill your tank since no direct water hookups are allowed. The restroom/showers were clean and the water was hot. The building is older, but we'll maintained. Our rig would not connect correctly to the 50 amp at first and they sent someone over quickly to check it. The 30 amp was fine. The maintenance people said it checked out fine, which is something we have had happen a few times before since the surge protector on our MH is very sensitive. When I tried the 50 amp after they left, it was fine. This is a beautiful spot and close to Medicine Park, Fort Sill and Lawton. It is first come first serve. I could not find a phone number to check on availability, but guess that is not a problem when it us 25 degrees. It gets busy later in the year. We camped at Lake Lawtonka City Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We had to ask a camper to learn that Premium sites had a green shelter and Non-premium sites had tan coloured shelter. One small bathroom for all CG. Showers had no seats, hooks, racks or curtain and had to put towels, clothing, kit on the dirty floor. One water spigot near bath for entire CG. Had to drive across grass to access site, elec pods on wrong side for TT door to face lake. Nicely level site, every site had shelter w table & grill. Poorly marked entrance off hiway, confusing directions at entrance, no pay station, employees collect payments. $13 is a "Senior Rate". We camped at Lake Lawtonka City Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice city park with electric only. Water is available to fill up your tanks and there is a dump. We were in a premium site next to the water. The $15 rate is the "off season" rate for the premium sites. There are also other sites that are cheaper and offer a senior discount. There isn't much in the way of shade here but we didn't need it in November. The views of the Wichita Mountains are spectacular. The electric worked well. Probably the only negative was that the sites are not well defined and you drive over grass to get to your site. It had rained the day we arrived and we had lots of mud on our rig. Would stay here again. We camped at Lake Lawtonka City Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed in site 11 with beautiful views of Lake Latonka and Mt. Scott. These are grass and dirt sites with 30/50 amp service. Shared water and clean but old bathrooms. I wish the City of Lawton would take a little more pride in this area. It could be fantastic with a little effort. For the money and the views, this is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the area. We camped at Lake Lawtonka City Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We camped in the Robinson's Landing Campground, on the north side of the lake. These sites all have electric and water and most have tree coverage but watch for low hanging limbs! Gravel sites, pretty level and a new, large restroom. New playground. Near a boat ramp. Employee comes around and collects. Police drive through often. No reservations. Will return since family is in the area. We camped at Lake Lawtonka City Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Nice city park campground along Lake Lawtonka. Preferred sites are $15 with no discounts, other sites are $12 or $8 seniors 65 and older. The 9 rating is more for value and location. There are two different camping areas, the larger one, this one, is to the south between OK-58 and the lake. Robinson's Landing is to the north and is all Preferred sites. However, it looked like it could use some serious tree trimming and the sites were somewhat tight, but had level concrete pads. We stayed in the southern area which slopes down to the water, so some blocking was needed. Take your time setting up. Sites are large and well spaced with shared water and 50 amp electric. There is a minimum of 100' between site shelters. Each site has a covered patio and picnic table with a fish cleaning station and a dated grill. Could use some TLC here, litter, trimming, etc., but overall a great value and location. Great view of Mt. Scott, 2464', in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge across the lake. You can drive to the top of it for great views in all directions. The Holy City of the Wichitas is also in the Refuge and is must see. Verizon cell and broadband flew as there was a tower nearby. TV via batwing was also good. We camped at Lake Lawtonka City Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful and right on the lakefront with the Wichita Mountains in background. Has grassy sites with access to water. Lots of room with spread out sites. It was very windy when we were here, but summer would be perfect. Missed internet access, but was nice to be out of touch too. We used satellite for TV. For the price, you can't beat this place. We camped at Lake Lawtonka City Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We had a great water and mountain view at site #4. All sites have a great view of the Wichits Mts and lake Lawtonka. There are no water hookups but there are numerous water hydrants for filling your fresh water tanks. Plenty of room between sites. Bathroom were kept clean, but they could have done a better job picking up litter around the campground. We camped at Lake Lawtonka City Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a city park that is actually 20 miles from the city of Lawton. Located in the Wichita Mountains - this looks more like New Mexico than Oklahoma. In the summer it is full much of the time - best bet is Sun. evening through about Thursday. Unfortunately the ciy of Lawton will allow you to reserve a site with a "tent" so you will see several 2x3 ft. tents in the RV slots during the week. If you are cruising down I-44 in the fall or winter this is really a very nice stop about 8 miles west of the interstate at the Medicine Park exit. The Wichita Mt. Wildlife Refuge is great as are the museums at Ft. Sill and Lawton. This park is best experienced in a self contained unit not requiring the bath facilities. We camped at Lake Lawtonka City Park in a Motorhome.
