Camping spot was right on the water which was great. However, there was a metal grate in the water there (I think to prevent shore erosion) that made it difficult to shore our boat & caused me to almost trip every time I entered the water - even with boat shoes on. It was also annoying that there was no shower facility or boat ramp in the E campground (there was one of both up the road nearby, just not within our campground). The one public bathroom in our campground only had a single women's toilet & single men's toilet. By toilet I mean a room with a port-a-potty type seat with a big hole in ground. There was no sink or anything in the restroom or mirror. The main nice thing about Lakeside was that all 11 groups in my family were able to stay close together. There was limited noise & the campground was gated after 10pm. Surprisingly, the local towns are limited in RV, boating & camping supplies. They have basics but don't even carry items like external dump tanks - we drove 30 minutes to Colbert to find some items. Overall I recommend going to lake Murray in Ardmore or finding a different site on Lake Texoma instead of this one if you desire some of the items listed above. However, I will admit that we would return due to ease of being able to book so many sites close together. And the folks at the gate were very friendly. Also not all of the spots had the issue of the metal grate in the water, so there are spots within E campground that would be better for shoring a boat. Just avoid site E7 & the few spots immediately around it or bring a piece of carpet to put in the water beneath your boat. The little cove near this campsite was nice for taking kids out tubing on the boat & the water was always peaceful within the cove, even if the rest of the lake was choppy. - RaeW

This park is nice and clean, hosts very nice. Our original sight that I had reserved on line had no trees for shade. I ask the park host if we could move to a shady sight and they said it would be OK. The park was not crowded at all due to the hot weather. All of the sights are back in's. You will need at least 40 feet of hose to reach the water. The park has 2 dump sights and 2 shower houses. The park in located on Lake Texoma not far from the Texas state line. - Joceil

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The interior roads and sites are gravel and fairly level. All sites are open for satellite. We used the park WiFi, slow but usable, as our Verizon service was even worse. Most of the sites are filled with longer term residents, but there were enough open sites for transients so I doubt you would need a reservation. All sites are pull throughs with 30/50A and full hookups. - Ned
Jun 2015 - $22.00
We just stayed for a night while passing through. The owner was real nice. If you just need a place to stay for a night, no problem, but not sure why anyone would want to stay for more than a night. There is Wi-Fi, but it is horrible, really not even useable. The roads are all dirt and very tight. The camping spots are all pull-through but narrow and short. We could barely put out our slides due to trees. The worst part about the park is the entrance, it is so tight and jacked up. Don't think we would stay here again. - TXDego
Jul 2012 - $24.00
This is a great NEW campground. It has been open just a few weeks. All lots are pull through. Looks like big rigs and big 5th wheels would not have any problem. The lot was very level. Road and lots are gravel with dirt. All the lot's have NEW tree's. 5 foot tall. Will be great in a few years. The club house and pool area is fantastic. Brand new! It has a nice laundromat and shower's. Has Wi-Fi. The young ladies that are running the campground were very polite and helpful. We mentioned that our grand kids were going to join us, the made sure that the umbrellas were on the tables by the pool. As I said it is new, the picnic tables were not up yet but coming. Location is great. 8 mile west of Durant, east side of Mead which is near Lake Texoma. Rate is great for what you get. $23.99 and they honor Good Sam. Will stay here again. - Dan T.

The campground is one of the best in the country - nice long full hook up sites with cable - the club house has lots of amenities and a spotless clean laundry room The casino runs a free shuttle to the casino - We ate twice in 5 days at the buffet in the hotel - one of the best buffets ever - rr2254545
Oct 2018 - $45.00
We had a large, level, cement FHU site that was satellite friendly. The Wi-Fi worked fine. The bathroom and laundry are modern and clean. I agree with others that this park has very good facilities and recreational (pool, playground, etc.) amenities. It also has recycling - something I haven't seen in weeks. - Jerry S
Oct 2018 - $45.00
Would have given the park a "10" rating Except for the mosquitoes!!! they have a drainage pond in the back of the park and it appears that it must just be a breeding ground for the little buggers - I looked down after walking the fur babies and had at least 10 on my legs. My hubby doesn't ever get bothered by them and he is swatting all the time - they could be doing some ""fogging"" work to abate these pests but we have not seen anything like that in three days of staying here. With these prices a little bug fogging would not break the bank - either that or put a fountain in the holding pond to keep the water moving. Also - the shuttles to the casino are a nice touch but the steps up are at least 8 to 9 inches high - hard for us senior citizens who have had recent surgeries - just sayin. - EllieMae Erskine

This RV park is bare bones. Only has electrical/water/sewer. Sites are level enough, gravel and grassy. It is not very well kept-up campground, but reliable. It's right on the northbound US Hwy 75, (2) miles south of Calera, OK. Truck traffic from US 75 is very close, but it didn't bother me sleeping. It is somewhat of a challenge figuring out how to enter the park from US 75, but the entry is just north of the BIG $12 sign. You have your pick of many sites. Just a few are lakeside though. It's pricelist is: $12 night, and $13 night for big rigs. $80 week. The lockbox and envelopes and pricelist are at the entry drive. If after 10 pm, or so, fill out and pay as you enter. The on-site manager's trailer is easy to pick out. The owner is friendly and usually here at the RV park. There is a lake you can picnic/relax and fish at for free if you are a customer. Not all sites have working basics. You may have to go to another site if all systems are not working. I have stayed here twice. Last summer for (5) nights, and January 2012 (2) nights. If you just want a good price like me: this is the RV park for you. - Skid Row Joe

Nice out of the way spot on a great lake. Super nice attendant that helped me back into my spot. Some cigarette butts and matches needed to be picked up by last camper but otherwise clean. Dogs had grass to use as well. There is a fair amount of sand around the site I stayed at.
There was no option under "My site space was..." for the fact I did not have a tow vehicle with me. If you have one you'll need to disconnect on main paved road (near site) before going on the gravel road to campsite. - TrishW

Nov 2008 - $20.00
Our site was located directly behind the service center but there was little noise or traffic. The park was clean and trash picked up regularly. Friendly owners. Lots to see and do at neighboring cities within a few miles each direction. We downgraded because of a large fire ant colony at our site and smoking in the men's bathroom despite signs, although owners were aware of the long-term tenant(s) responsible. - Scrubbs1
Mar 2008 - $25.00
We saw 107 spaces, of which 30 are for overnight motorhome full hook ups. Separated by a couple hundred feet are the full time residents mostly in newer looking trailers. Overnight spaces are farthest from Hiway 75/69. Roads are all paved, pullouts are gravel except for 8 pull thrus on concrete slabs. Water, 50 amp service, sewage and cable TV are all available. Sites all looked pretty level and all were pull thrus. Hired help was friendly. Propane and dumpstation service was available. Behind an RV sales lot with parts and RV repair service available. Sales are mostly trailers, bumper pulls and fifth wheels. Signs said it was under new management. Sales help was attentive and friendly. All trailers were open and prices posted. Oak, pecan, redbud and other trees on the sites. Wild flowers were in bloom when we were there. Squirrels, robins, mocking birds, sparrows, doves and blackbirds gave that "country" feel. Pool (closed when we were there), playground, pet run, rec room and a lightly stocked store were found. Whole area was mowed including the pet run. With the air conditioner on low we couldn't hear the Hiway sounds or distant train whistles. No WiFi was available. Cell phone service was maximum strength so a laptop "air" card would work. We would definitely stay here again. - RVTravelerToo
Aug 2003 - $25.00
This is an excellent RV park, located near the Denison Dam of Lake Texoma just off US 69/75. We actually stayed there about 4 times, and we were treated real nice. Even the time we showed up without a reservation, when they had a club there, they still put us up in a site that didn't have cable tv, but we didn't care. We would definitely stay there again. Very well maintained small park. - Dodgeboy

Apr 2017 - $30.00
Not sure what to say. We stayed here overnight while passing through. We asked for a late check-in and it seemed like ownership didn't understand what that was. No info was laid out for us. We were not given any bathroom codes or wifi codes. They just took our info and gave us our site info via phone. Site was somewhat unlevel. All gravel. Park was unkempt with many older motorhomes and long-timers. We did not use facilities because we could not get in them. Didn't have wifi password so we couldn't use it either. Picnic table had spray paint all over it like it was a work bench for an artist. Overall, I am glad it was a quick stop. Next time however, I would go a few farther miles down the road and stay somewhere else. - mm1407

Aug 2014 - $30.00
The former campground managers are no longer at the resort. It is under new management. New washers/dryers available and yes, you may wash all laundry except for maybe extra large comforters that just won't fit in the machines. The cable service and WiFi have been updated and upgraded. Excellent service. Quiet resort with clean restrooms and showers. Children and pets welcome at all times. Ping pong and games available in the resort game room. Free coffee served in the resort store. Lots of changes and a good place to stay. - Temp

Rates are reasonable and park was pretty clean but when I went to the managers camper the pot smoke about knocked me down. Also she came over and over again wanting to "borrow" stuff. - Rvnuts

A real jewel for only $10 per night..$13 for 50 amp. Sites are gravel, level, and enclosed with a small fence. Fantastic park for overnight or a short stay. Park is easy access just off Hwy 75. Colbert, OK is about 10 miles north of Denison, TX and close to WalMart, best buy etc. This park is one of the best values we have found. - rvbadger

I have never seen such dirty restrooms ANYWHERE. Sinks looked like urinals. Facility very old and run down. Campsite OK, water very far away. This is the worst Corps camp we have ever been in. Will not use this one again! - vern p
May 2016 - $11.00
The biggest negative about this campground is its proximity to highway 70 which creates a lot of traffic noise. We were in site 50 which is the closest to traffic noise. Some of the other sites are further from traffic and closer to lake. The grounds were somewhat neglected with fire pits having trash in them. Our Verizon and Dish tailgater worked well. Some sites were very shady, but ours was fairly open as it had the boat launch area on one side. There are no trails for walking. The person who checked us in was very helpful in that she allowed us the option of choosing any open site even though we had a reservation. If you Re traveling east on highway 70, as soon as you exit the bridge that crosses the lake, there is a small brown sign on the right that says Johnson creek. The turn is to the left and it is easy to miss. - Lula1943
Apr 2016 - $11.00
50a Electric good, Sewer is a dump on the way out, water @ 100 psi and not close to the site. Some sites that are on the curve of the road have water on the wrong side of the site. Wi-Fi is not available. AT&T Cell Phone fair with 2 bars. AT&T Air Card is strong. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card is good but not as fast as AT&T. Cable not available. Site #44 is level and long enough for my 5th wheel & truck to be on the same site. Site width is good and have plenty of room for awnings. Also much open area to walk your dog. Internal road is asphalt and in good condition. Didn't use restrooms. DirecTV Satellite is good if your not close to trees. Golden Age passport allows a 50% discount. Payment for walk in is by check. This is a nice campground and I would stay here again. - TXBobcat
