This is a small, RV only park on the north side of Bartlesville. It is relatively new at about a year old at the time of this writing. The once water park/go cart track was bulldozed, utilities installed and copious amounts of fill dirt brought in. Interior roads are gravel, the RV pads are gravel and decently level with a small concrete patio. The gravel appears to be a coarse, crushed granite. Pretty large pieces with sharp edges, did a real number on my plastic leveling blocks. Space between sites had been sodded but at least 75% of the sod did not survive, hence it got a little muddy after a brief downpour blew through. There are no bathroom/shower facilities and it is not clear if there ever will be. Utilities couldn't have been better. Power was solid, we ran two A/Cs, fridge, water heater, and all ancillary without voltage dropping below 112V. Water pressure was great, water was soft and tasted good. The owners (which I think was an RV dealership a block south) built the pads with two sewer connections, one near the back and one at mid-way. That made connecting a minimal hassle. There are no trees, yet, so satellite hook-up was solid. The park WiFi was strong and had plenty of bandwidth for the twenty or so campers. Verizon was a little weak in the park proper but strong everywhere else we went around town. I would have rated this park higher had it not been for the nightly rate. I don't think the setting or the quality of the park make it a good value. - jperry29

New campground. Good: flat, easy to find, large sites. Not so good: gravel roadways and pads that are hard to walk on. Our small dogs couldn't walk on it because it hurt their feet. There is a dog run, but it is weedy. The "grass" around the pads is non-existent. With time it could be a decent campground, but the grounds really really need some work. Plus the shooting range nearby gets old real quick, they kept going until well after dark. Given that there aren't many other nice campgrounds to stay in that will accommodate a large 5th wheel or motorhome, it was adequate for an overnight stay. - Tai2008

It looks like they opened this place before they finished building it! It is over priced for the amenities provided and the condition of the sites and service roads. There is a poured cement "patio" that sits 4" to 5" above the level of the parking site. Do they plan to build up the site to the level of the patio? The parking site, as well as, the service road, is mixed size large gravel and rock that is difficult to walk on. Our site was not level. It is best to pull close the the cement patio so that you can exit your rig and step out onto the patio rather than the gravel/ rock mix. Our site had a picnic table and a fire ring but the "grass" in the site looked like mowed weeds. There was a laundry room, a gazebo with bench seating around the interior edges (no tables or chairs), a children's playground set, and a fenced dog walk as additional amenities. Apparently there is a club room with bathroom accommodations (?) but it closes when the single staff agent goes home at 5:30 or 6:00 pm and we did not have a chance to inspect it. Other than a bathroom for the club room, there are no other bathroom or shower facilities that we could find. - dicknjoan6

Many of the loops were closed due to flooding when we were there. Had a paved site close to the lake, but it wasn't level. Only one set of wheels on the ground after leveling. Sites were all back-in and had no water hookups, although there was a spigot across the road where we could fill our tanks before parking. Our friends camped across the road and their site was right next to another trailer with several family members who came in for the day. There were a lot of vehicles parked on the side of the road and lots of kids running around on bikes and scooters. Not a problem for us, but they were parked in the grass, set up the kiddie pool and a tent on their site and otherwise spread out toward our friend's site. The park ranger drove by several times without stopping, so we assume there is no vehicle/site limit. It was a nice park, but nothing to write home about. Wouldn't plan another trip here. - Safetylady01

This is an older COE campground that has its good and bad points. The good: most sites are well-spaced and you have plenty of room to spread out. The bad: the pads are rather narrow and there is not much paved area when you walk out of your camper door. If you want a water site, come early in the week as they are not reservable. No sewer sites, only dump station. The reservable sites are all on the interior of the campground loop. Sites in the non-electric loop could use some TLC. They are paved, but the pavement is breaking up badly on some of them. Cell service (AT&T), Verizon MiFi and Dish TV worked well at this campground. - Bobbi1948

Had a good 2 night stay here. The park was clean and easy to navigate. There was a great Mexican restaurant close by. No hassle here- I was checked in and left in peace! - Ryan7361
Oct 2018 - $30.00
We have stayed here twice and both time have been extremely enjoyable. The WiFi is great. The owner and staff are fun and friendly. Thanks for another enjoyable stay. - Bob and Diane McCullough

Pleasant manager trying to deal with a year long detour at the street corner nearest the entrance to the park. They helpfully texted us a map to navigate the detour. Interior roads and sites are gravel and somewhat level. Sites are back in and pull through. Mostly stayers with some sites for over nighters and short termers. Sites are close but we could put out slide. Lots of shade. Water faucet was about 10" above the ground and easy to access. Valet service to pick up trash at your site, but in our case the dumpster was close by. Small swimming pool that was closed by the end of September. Navigating initial trip to site to park was aided by an escort. Park was very quite in spite of being near full. - SunStar203

All sites have 30amp electric (no 50amp). No sites have sewer or water (although there are water spigots to fill your tanks somewhat nearby). The sites were not very level. I had to put the right side tires on blocks so that my leveling system would even attempt to level the RV. - Wandering With Us
Oct 2016 - $20.00
Nice office manager but said, "go find your site and come back and I'll charge you". I'm in a big rig. Not welcoming. Site was okay. No lake access due to cliffs around the lake, however, very pretty views. - mjf
Aug 2015 - $10.00
The campground was nice for its purpose. The 1st site we were scheduled to be on had too much of an incline and we could not level our motor home. Same thing with my brother in law. We were allowed to search for another spot and since no one else was in it during our stay, we moved over to site 41. Both our motor home and my brother in laws motor home are 37 and 35 feet. Smaller sizes, around 20 feet, were able to level on the incline. The campground only has 30 amps which was fine for us, but he had another couple staying with them, and they really needed 50 amps in order to run both air conditioners at night. The campground had lots of trees which significantly helped with shade and reduced heat for the summer days. We didn't go in bathrooms, etc so I cannot comment on them. I would stay here again and plan on returning when visiting family. - enjoyinglife

Dec 2014 - $20.00
I came back after 5 years. aside from adding wifi, park is the same. I don't really feel that wifi justifies the 8 dollar hike in price. Still a decent park if you need something convenient to the Coffeyville area. The new wifi was solid and fast, park was kept reasonably clean, and the host is friendly. - katzklaw
Jan 2014 - $15.00
Great people very friendly. Close to town, nice and clean drive. Great water hookup. Will stay here agian! - Trackratjoe
Nov 2013 - $25.00
Spots are close together, but they include water, sewer, and electric hookups. The people are friendly. The camp is close to town and directly across the street from a grocery store and a public park. The closest showers are about a half mile away at the nearby public park. The campground doesn't have many spots, which makes the internet reliable and the ambiance community-oriented. It is surrounded by wide open spaces daubed with beautiful trees. - cgifford5

City owned park that is next to Walter Johnson park. Roads and sites are gravel and very soft (and muddy) after rain. A few sites were completely flooded after heavy rain. Some side-by-side sites with utility hook ups in the middle, requires class-A's and C's to nose in the right hand site. Wi-Fi was $50/month and coverage was spotty. Showers & restrooms available at the Walter Johnson park (near fairgrounds). - NorCal Dan

Aug 2015 - $8.00
Excellent park for an overnight stay and just traveling thru. Only thing they had was water and electric, no facilities but it was perfect for us and the price was right. Would stop here again if traveling thru. Even some spots has shade. - Lindafd9
Apr 2014 - $8.00
I found this to be a very good place to stay. Huge sites that are easy to get into and out of. The grounds were clean and level. The WiFi is excellent and reasonably priced, $2.50 a day or $5 a week. Plenty of room, with picnic tables at each site. Very close to grocery and gas as well as other stores. I honestly can find nothing bad to say about staying here other than the lack of sewer hookups. If you need to do your laundry, you have to drive to the west side of town, as that is the closest laundromat. First come first served with an easy self pay box. - Dave Cole
Nov 2013 - $8.00
I moved here mid-season while working at Amazon. Walter Johnson is more like a "park" setting with large trees, grassy areas and squirrels running all over the place. It's actually in town and convenient to everything, including Walmart. I had mail forwarded to the City Activities Center which was on the park grounds and they always left a note on my door telling me I had mail. The park staff was very friendly and helpful. This park would have rated 5 stars, but there are no sewer hookups. I found that to be a very minor problem compared to issues at another park in the area. I highly recommend Walter Johnson Park. - gorp
