13 RV Parks near Porter, Oklahoma
May 2018 - $25.00
Stayed one night. Nice owner. Gravel site level and long enough to stay hooked up. Full services. A lot of road noise all night long. We had a site in front near the road. Probably much quieter in back. Nice place. Well maintained with nice owners with only downside being the road noise. Good value. Would stay again. - C2CO
Apr 2018 - $25.00
Park right off US 69 and by a Railroad track some road noise but the trains were few and far between. All gravel but did not have much dust. Within a ten mile radius there was 2 Walmarts and a Lowes, Muskogee is about 5 miles South and you can find almost anything you want there, if not Tulsa 40 miles to North West. Staff very friendly and helpful. A lot of pull through sites. We will be back. Stayed in a 40 foot Class A - User3655
Oct 2017 - $25.00
Friendly owners and staff make this a great stopover. There are a number of residents in the back of the park, but nightly folks are right up front. There is a bit of highway noise as the traffic light right in front of the park causes the 18 wheelers to gear up and down. This park is for sale, so its future is uncertain. - rfmscat
Jul 2017 - $23.00
Plain gravel pull-through. Mostly level. No one in office. We just found a spot, filled out a pay envelope and pulled in. No frills place for an overnight stop. - rfmscat
Jun 2016 - $22.00
No frills park convenient for an overnight stop transiting the area. Many full time resident RVs many of which were pretty run down. Monthly rent is only $300 which explains why. As a transient one night stop it is more than sufficient. Wifi was very good. FHU site, some road noise from the 2 highways which are fairly close by. Several over the air TV stations mainly from Tulsa. Long pull-through site easily accessible. Rate is $22.50 with Good Sam discount. Very strong water pressure, recommend a water pressure regulator on your water hookup. - Bob & Stephanie
Oct 2014 - $22.00
Actual rate was $22.50 which reflects Good Sam discount for 30-amp pull thru. We didn't hook up water as this was just an overnight stop for us. Fairly level, but as other reviews have noted, the sites needed additional gravel. Mostly full timers in this campground. Pretty much just a basic, no frills campground. - thetravelkids
Sep 2015 - $25.00
This was a last minute stop due to us being behind schedule. We had originally planned to stop further down the road but decided to pull in for the night based on previous reviews being at an "8" with the latest review on September, 2012. This review will hopefully provide an update of the current situation.
It began as I was filling out the paperwork to check in; the "reservation" form wanted to know "is anyone in your party on Probation"? Yes or No. The second question asked "Has anyone been convicted of a felony"? Yes or no and then the year convicted.
This should have been my first clue that something was wrong at this park. When I asked the lady who was checking us in about these questions, she said that a previous camper did not like it when the police came through the campground. Seems that the camper's grandson was in trouble with the police. So now they ask up front if you are in trouble or have been in trouble with the law.
When we arrived at the site (#4) it was a pull through with crushed gravel. There was no cover on the sewer connection pipe. Also the opening to the sewer connection was level with the ground which when combined with no cover allowed dirt, gravel, etc to collect in the pipe.
Grass growing through the gravel pad. No cover on the electrical box which left the circuit breakers and 50 amp outlet exposed to the elements.
The coup de grace happened while I was attempting to connect the utilities at the rear of the motorhome while my wife was inside the motorhome extending the slide outs. Some of the "neighbors" came up to the front of the motorhome looking through the front windshield of the coach while she was working. Needless to say, it bothered her a LOT!!!
This park is filled with folks who live here full-time in their RV's. If there were other over night guests there besides us, they were not readily apparent.
WE WILL NOT BE BACK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. AVOID THIS PARK AT ALL COSTS!!!! - Maddog11
Sep 2012 - $25.00
Excellent Wi-Fi in Laundry room. Great showers, private stalls for showers and toilets. Washers and Dryers are 1.00 each. Gravel site not level. I think this is a good overnight stop. Large field surrounding park, good for walking a dog. Would stay here again. - Robert R
Nov 2011 - $30.00
Pros: Easy access, friendly hosts and hookups in good working order. Cons: No Wi-Fi, No cable, WAAYY over priced considering the location and competition down the road with Wi-Fi for half the price. No GS/Mil discount was offered when asked. Shame on me for not doing a good job on my homework. Their web site: www.countryviewrvpark1.com, fails to list their rates. 10 miles down the road, another park is $18 a night, nearly half what we paid here with less amenities. Assumed (HA!)it would be comparable. Having said all that, this is not a bad park for a couple nights/overnight. Level gravel pads, Verizon hotspot works well and getting a good number of OTA channels. Gravel spots, lots of long term residents. At 30 bucks a night, won't stop here again with comparable parks within 10 miles down the road in Porter at half the price. - dndfamilyfarms
Jan 2019 - $20.00
We were exhausted and needed to stop driving and get some sleep. This campground perfectly suited our needs. There was a concrete pull through long enough so we didn't have to unhook. We also were desperately in need of dumping our holding tanks so we were able to complete that task the next morning. Most of the RVs seemed to be full timers but it was quiet & easy to find right off Hwy 69. The owner was friendly and easy to deal with. Since we got there late in the evening, he came by the next morning to collect. Easy Peasy. As we're getting older, our normal 10 hours a day of driving is becoming more difficult to achieve so we might find ourselves breaking up our trip and stopping here again. While there is nothing to do at the campground, it's a great place to stay and take advantage of the many things Muskogee has to offer. - WendyM2
Sep 2018 - $20.00
We wanted a pull-through because we planned on only two nights. Most of the park has back-in spots and many were filled. The pull-through spots are along the edge of the entrance, but hookups were good and the road fairly level. Because of weather and our setup, we decided to drive and spend our extra day elsewhere. The road out had severe potholes. Never did meet the owner/manager. Left our check through a slot in the door. Except for the road, it seemed a nice park and certainly was convenient from the highway. - Lke
May 2018 - $20.00
We stayed here two nights. Nothing fancy. Mostly full timers occupy the park. No bathroom/shower facility. Very nice owner. Price was great at $20/night. We had a pull through site. Sites have concrete pad and full hookups. Very convenient, right off 69. Would stay here again. - cwbassman
May 2013 - $30.00
This is just a place along the Interstate that is OK for the night. We pulled to get out of the thunderstorm weather. This is an expensive site just for gravel with water and power. No cable, no nothing. - Traveller101
Sep 2011 - $30.00
For $30 you get power, water and a fair size gravel pull through site near I-40. Been to places like this that charge $15 and we were happy to have a place to park overnight for the price. Will pass this one by next time due to the high price. - chuckinca
Oct 2009 - $16.00
This park is not to be confused with Western Hills Guest Ranch/Sequoyah Bay State Park that is also near Wagoner and on Lake Fort Gibson. We initially intended to stay here for two nights but the lake was 16 feet above normal and the lakeside sites were under water. There has been a lot of rain in this area recently; hopefully they will recover OK when the water recedes. The park has plenty of big beautiful trees and a lot of things to do and see. A very peaceful place to stay. Has very good TV reception via antenna. The restroom/showers were clean. I will definitely return in the future. - DavyD
Jun 2010 - $21.00
This park is located on the beautiful Fort Gibson Lake. The lake and Fort Gibson Dam are wonderful sites to see. The campground is very large, and has a swimming area marked off in the lake and several play things for young kids. There are two different sides that are separated by the marina, where you can park or rent a boat or jet ski. One side has campsites for camper traitors and/or tents with several bath houses, play yards, picnic areas and even a tennis court. The other is more peaceful and is for fifth wheels or campers, and also has a bath house and small play ground. The staff was friendly and we had a wonderful time. The grounds are somewhat un-kept, its not trashy but could be mowed more often. It's a great place to spend time on the lake, or have a family summer reunions under the pavilions. Would recommend this to anyone staying around Muskogee. - 3paynes
Nov 2017 - $20.00
We were there during the fall leaves changing colors and it was beautiful! The roads were paved as well as the pad. Pad was large and spacious with room for 40 ft DP and toad. Camphost were nice and friendly and helpful. Pad was level and had a great view of the lake. The park was clean and well kept. We will be back in the spring to stay again. - Ralph0808
Jul 2017 - $9.00
Stayed for 3 nights to rest up during big road trip. Fun to watch the family lake festivities before July 4th holiday. Will stay again for rest between Springfield MO and Dallas TX. - Carl Lance 1995
Mar 2017 - $10.00
The campground is clean and well maintained. The site had water and 30/50 amp service with a level concrete pad and asphalt drive. The view of the lake is nice and we enjoy the campground. Cell service for both AT&T and Verizon is good. - Ralph0808

Enjoyed the stay. Nice trails throughout the park. Nice level pad. Didn't use the bathroom or the shower at this location. - The_RV_CIO
Oct 2018 - $30.00
Scenic place, campsites have plenty of room and are level. Lots of water surrounding many sites. We were only here for 2 nights. The golf course here was fun. Only negatives were the fire pit was full of ash, hadn't been cleaned out in awhile, and like quite a few of our experiences in Oklahoma SPs, the showers are sub par (not very clean). - Bob806
Sep 2017 - $33.00
First off when making reservations the info stated full shaded site. They were not fully shaded and actually minimal shade. The restrooms and showers were full of bugs and spiders; they weren't dirty, just full of insects. The swimming beach was nothing but cockaburs to get to the water. The sites were concrete, but are not level, and they do have full hook ups. I certainly would't come back to the Choctaw area. - OklahomaCamper
Aug 2016 - $9.00
It looks like the Corps is giving this campground a facelift. They are removing some sites and making new ones, spaced farther apart. The only problem here is the lack of shade trees. The sites are great, but shade is a must in Oklahoma in August. Camp host is very friendly and helpful. Rate reflects our Senior Pass Discount. Would stay here again if we could get a site with shade on it. - Bobbi1948
Sep 2015 - $11.00
We loved this COE campground. It is a wonderful place for family camping. Sites are spacious and grassy and shaded. The lake is beautiful has a number of boat ramps and is good for fishing and boating. The sites were paved and level. We had a concrete picnic table and fire ring. We only stayed one night since we were on our way home, but we would definitely stay here again. - webbsafari
