14 RV Parks near Salina, Oklahoma
Aug 2016 - $25.00
Small state park I have camped at for years and over the years it has been good and bad but the park host now seam to be really trying to keep it clean and maintain it will the state cutbacks. ATT service was good and we enjoyed our stay. - Back to the basics
Apr 2012 - $18.00
The rate reflects a $2 seniors discount. This small park has 18 back-in RV sites with water and electric (20/30/50 amp), and 70 tent sites. All of the RV sites have a view of the lake. The volunteer hosts are friendly and helpful, and they put a lot of work into maintaining a clean facility, despite state budget cutbacks. The Verizon data signal is useable, albeit a bit slow, but the voice service is solid. All of the major TV networks are available via antenna. We will return again when we are in the area. - NYDutch
Sep 2018 - $42.00
clean campground level lots nice and quiet. no cable good wifi. you will need an extension cord if you back in. Office does have extra cords if needed. would stay again. - STLCamper
Jun 2018 - $42.00
This is our second trip to this park. The views are unreal, with water access. Sites are level gravel with grass in between. There's a large green area in the middle for kids and pets to roam. I give it a 9 instead of 10 because the hookups are on the opposite side (unless you're a class A pulling in front first). On our first try our 20 ft sewer hose wouldn't reach and we had to move the camper. Our 25 ft tv cable didn't reach. The office does offer a longer power cord if needed. We had a severe storm and used the storm shelter. Is great. Bath house is clean and nice. Clean coin operated laundry. Fantastic decks overlooking water with picnic tables. Kids loved fishing right at the water. Also good fishing from boat slips. Kids loved swim dock. Will return each year if we can! - khogan
Mar 2018 - $30.00
Had a site overlooking Grand Lake, beautiful view. Sites are gravel, roads in & out are asphalt. Had some issues connecting to both water and power. Had to run extra extension under the trailer and towards the front of the site to reach the power connection. Not a huge issue. Park was full, service by the staff was good, didn't use the bathhouse. Property has a boat dock which we have used in past for our jet ski, but not this time. - drw-cpa
Mar 2019 - $37.00
This is a ten spot overnight stop. I prefer this over the more expensive camp grounds in Tulsa, OK. Was fairly easy to exit the road and drive over to the campground which is a Fleet Repair Shop (Semi Trucks). Nice clean setting. - CamperAL
Oct 2018 - $30.00
Easy access right after the toll stood on I44.
No one answers phone on the weekends.
Only 10 spots, very clean and they have self check in. Excellent WiFi. Rxpensive given the level of service ($30 per night).
Impossible to sleep since there is on train with horn every hour and lots of road noise from the inter state.
Utilities are very far forward on the site. - BasilFawlty
Sep 2018 - $25.00
Still a great overnight or longer campground. No laundry or restrooms but clean, neat, long and level with excellent wifi. Great base for rte 66 travels. Truck stop near by and Cabin Diesel is on site for engine repairs. They do not do trash pick up. In the past they had trash containers at each site. They have been removed and a dumpster is located nearby site 1 for your trash. - peddy dick
Jun 2018 - $9.00
Typical COE campground - well laid out to take advantage of the terrain. Spacing between sites is a little better than the average COE campground. Sites are asphalt with a gravel or concrete sitting area bordered by timbers. Most sites are level. Interior roads to sites 1-16 (30 amp sites) are just a little narrow, could be a little uncomfortable for a big rig. Sites 18-35 are 50 amp sites. Most of the CG is shaded or partially shaded. The "beach" is poorly defined because the whole CG waterfront is accessible and is used for swimming, fishing, kayak and boat launch. The shore is rock, some sand and mud. The lake bottom has a shallow slope from the CG. Tree canopy is fairly thick so a fixed satellite dish might have a problem, portable dishes should be OK. Good OTA TV - 6-10 channels; Verizon =5/5. The gate is locked at 10PM with no entry. There is an emergency exit. Good security - rangers patrol every few hours. There are a lot of locals using the CG as a day use area, but seem orderly. This CG is dark at night - not a lot of street lights. - Bama Camper
Aug 2016 - $10.00
This is our favorite Corps of Engineers campground near Fort Gibson and Wagoner OK. The Corps is working on making improvements in the park and it shows. All sites now have water spigots. Some sites have been removed, making the existing sites larger. The Corps has laid new asphalt on about half the sites, making them wider and more level. Sites that have not been repaved are in good shape. There is a beach and boat launch here. AT&T cell phone and Verizon MiFi worked well. Dish was hit and miss, but we got the local channels OTA. Rate reflects our Senior Pass Discount. - Bobbi1948
Sep 2015 - $40.00
I went by the last review in 2010. Bad mistake. We spent 1 month here due to $$. I couldn't find anyone to pay for 5 days. Their sites are mostly 30 amp, with a few 50 amp. Full hookups behind the trailers, no sewer in the wooded area. No dump station. They tell people to use an empty lot that has sewer to dump at--which has no water at it to rinse with. I had to put in a number for the site. It's just a huge grassy area with oddly numbered numbers to hook up to. I never did know what our site number was. 3 dogs roam the park & are in their clubhouse on the furniture, tables daily. They haven't had baths in forever & the place reeks. There are no firepits-not even in the tent areas. Picnic tables are broken, picnic area has no tables, beach is overgrown & gone, shoreline is slimy, their "cabins" are nothing but run down old trailers. It looks like a trailer park when you first enter it. Mostly members stay there. I only met 3 other people there not members. Labor day (Monday), they shut off the lights at night as they stated no one was there anymore so they wanted to conserve. The place is pretty, but needing a lot of TLC. A lot! The pool was kept clean, grounds are too, but very run down otherwise. Trailers are a major eye sore. There is nothing around at all. Their online brochure is from 15 years ago. Even the playground is cluttered with broken paddle boats, climbing toys, etc. We also had to move our rv due to bag worms dripping brown all over our rv. Others who came in behind us moved asap too once they saw that mess. Nature can't be controlled, but spraying would have helped with this problem. We would never stay here again. - happy2013camper
Jul 2010 - $10.00
Easy access to this park. A very plain park. You park in the grass, no pads. Not much to do here at the park or around town, unless you have a boat. I don't think we would stay here or in the area again. Good power and we could use our Dish, Verizon phone and aircard. They do have WiFi in the club house. - Awesome Navigator
Jun 2010 - $32.00
This resort is on one of the coves of Grand Lake of the Cherokees. We came here with my parents for a jet-ski vacation. The resort does have a fishing dock as well as a ramp for boats/jet-skis. They also have four slips for boats (free if you are a guest at the resort). We stayed in a section that only had water/electric (30 amp) hook up, but was fine for us. Plenty of shade trees in this section with large sites. These sites were closer to the water as well. They do have about 20 or so pull-through sites with 50amp service. The staff was very friendly. - itsky
Aug 2016 - $9.00
This campground is okay for a night or two. The roads are easy to navigate and sites are well-spaced and large enough. Most sites have shade trees. The Corps of Engineers is working to improve the park. Host at gate wasn't especially helpful or friendly. Rate reflects our Senior Pass Discount. - Bobbi1948
Apr 2013 - $10.00
This is a good COE park. Shore power is good, Water pressure is good. Sewer is at a dump station. Water is quite a distance from the site so you need to have extra water hose on some sites. Our site was nice concrete and was long enough to park the trailer and truck on the same site. Other sites are gravel and asphalt and are not very level. I think they are trying to upgrade this park but it will take some time. It is half price with the golden age passport. It is quiet and not a bad place to stay. I would like to give this a better rating but the sites are not that good yet. I would stay here again. - TXBobcat
May 2010 - $11.00
Clean, wonderful view, reasonably close to small towns, road in is county road of about 2 miles, hosts are friendly and knowledgeable. Corps of Engineers campground not to be missed. Good fishing. - mcguyvered
Aug 2016 - $9.00
It looks like the Corps is giving this campground a facelift. They are removing some sites and making new ones, spaced farther apart. The only problem here is the lack of shade trees. The sites are great, but shade is a must in Oklahoma in August. Camp host is very friendly and helpful. Rate reflects our Senior Pass Discount. Would stay here again if we could get a site with shade on it. - Bobbi1948
Sep 2015 - $11.00
We loved this COE campground. It is a wonderful place for family camping. Sites are spacious and grassy and shaded. The lake is beautiful has a number of boat ramps and is good for fishing and boating. The sites were paved and level. We had a concrete picnic table and fire ring. We only stayed one night since we were on our way home, but we would definitely stay here again. - webbsafari
Apr 2019 - $35.00
We were heading home from our "winter home" and were just wanting a clean campground for one night. What a pleasant surprise - close to Casino, restaurant, and a race track! Staff was very friendly and very informative. - MamaLyn
Mar 2019 - $45.00
This was a stop over to a Good Sam Rally in Texas. The layout is very accommodating for just about any size rig. We have a 40' 5th wheel and no problems maneuvering and getting into and out of a spot. The sites were long enough we didn't have to unhook, since it was an overnight stay. We camped in #6. The campground is adjacent to a casino that has a restaurant as well and it has pretty good food. - SL592
Feb 2019 - $38.00
Generally nice place, next to a horse track which is fun, and a casino. Fairly new park and good for a one night stop. - MWM
