A real find. Many, many pull-thrus of usable length for big rigs. A few tight turns getting into some, but most are very easy to use. Plenty of room for tow/towing vehicles tool. Some are reservable, some are first come. Most have 50A with water. Some have 30A. Bathrooms are the worst part of experience. You can see the cutting of funding has affected the appearance and cleanliness. They are usuable, but unsightly. DO NOT TRY TO ARRIVE VIA HWY 2 PORUM ENTRANCE!!! Unmarked, narrow, twisty, crappy pavement, and a long drive in an uninhabited area. USE ENTRANCE OFF TEXANNA ROAD EXIT HIGHWAY 69! Easy drive, but no signs to show you way until the turn into the COE. No wi-fi, but cell reception and Onstar Data usable. We camped at Belle Starr COE in a Fifth Wheel.

The "new" pull through sites are amazing!! They do lock the gate at night with no provision to get in (there is an emergency exit with the "Don't back up tire spikes"). We camped at Belle Starr COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This COE campground has some good sites and some not so good. The one we picked was great. There was plenty of room and a large, paved patio. The lead up to the site was uphill, but the site itself (where you parked your camper) was very level. We had no problem with Dish, Verizon or AT&T at this location. All worked well for us. Sites on the lake are closer together than where we were, aren't as large and aren't paved. We camped at Belle Starr COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This large lake front park is a mix of great sites and some really bad sites. Fortunately I picked a good one but walking the park I saw many sites with issues - unlevel, blocking trees, flood damaged, utilities in difficult locations. Our row of sites and others were great - extra long, huge concrete pad & patios, very level. Decent OTA television and cell signal. Satellite TV will depend on site and trees. Really nice popular boat launch in the park and Lake Eufaula is beautiful. There are a few "volunteer" campers staying at the park and those folks appear to have moved in. Very messy with multiple vehicles, ATV's, dogs/cats running free, old couches, etc. A sad detraction from an otherwise nice park. We camped at Belle Starr COE in a Fifth Wheel.

As others have said this park is divided into 3 loops. If you have a boat and want to swim on the beaches then the East loop is for you. The new pull throughs on the central and west loops are super but there are no sewer hook ups, but they are the only sites with 50 amp. There is a little known station on the east loop if you don't want to wait. We camped at Belle Starr COE in a Travel Trailer.

50,30 & 20amp Electric good, Sewer is a dump on the way out. Water @ 60 psi. Wi-Fi not available. AT&T Cell Phone Good 4bars. AT&T Air Card very good. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card good. Cable not available but can get Over the Air fairly good. Site #22 is outstanding. Very wide, exceptionally long and lots of room between sites. Roads to the park are good. Interior roads look bad but are asphalt and cracked but not rough. The new Restroom near the play ground is outstanding. However the older ones are pretty sad. Laundry not available. DirecTV Satellite is accessible depending how your dish is used. Most are good if your dish is on a tripod but if on the roof may be a problem depending on your site. Discount available for Golden Age and America the Beautiful for 50%. Payment by credit card online is good. About the park. A lot of it was damaged by the recent floods. The 30amp sites are mainly older sites. Water is shared between sites and is way far away so have a lot of water hose. Sites range from very small to good in length, a little small in width for the 30amp and be careful when pulling into the site. The sites that were damaged have been upgraded to 50,30,20 Amp and are asphalt with a large pad and patio. These are very good and most are now Walk in. Get one of these if you can if you have a large RV. I would absolutely stay here again especially if I can get one of the newer 50amp sites. We camped at Belle Starr COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you like history you might go to the Information Center in Eufaula and find out where the Belle Starr grave is located and take about a 20 mile trip to Robbers Cave. Belle Starr and the Younger Gang ran here and stayed in Robbers Cave. Lady Bird Landing is where Lady Bird Johnson came to visit in a Helicopter when LBJ dedicated Lake Eufaula. A monument is in Lady Bird Landing CoE park.

A faded beauty. The June 2013 review is exactly on target. I would add that on our loop the asphalt pads are crumbling so that we had to have one side of our rig on the dirt. Leveling could be a problem. Our site, E-18, a pull-through, required a very, very tight turn for our 32 ft trailer. I should have backed into the pull-through! We would come back but it is not up to the normal COE high standards. We camped at Belle Starr COE in a Travel Trailer.

Wednesday, June 12 - Eufaula Lake – Belle Starr Campground, Corps of Engineers, Eufaula, OK. The reviews have always been good for this campground, and I love the COE campgrounds, but I can see where the funding is just not there anymore. There are 115 sites with electric and some of them 50 amp and many have water hookups. The site we had was right on the lake but small with no water hookups. There was another site right to the left of us, and if any RV came in we would have been blocked from getting out but it did not happen. This is one of the biggest lakes in OK, and very windy, and it looks like it has the red clay underneath it. The nicest sites are the pull-throughs right next to the water sites C22-32, but those are first come. Reservations can be made for some of the sites. Tables to cut up your fish were at every site since this is a big fishing lake. Bath houses were not that clean, but it was in the late afternoon when we checked them out on a very hot day in the high 90’s. We followed the directions, but we missed a small sign to get to the park so it took longer to get there off of Interstate 40 than we planned. Nice park, but I don’t know if we would return since there are also 8 other COE campgrounds around this lake and some state parks. It only costs us $9 with a pass for the site. We camped at Belle Starr COE in a Motorhome.

This park really needs some TLC. Grass hadn't been cut, maybe for weeks, and the trees and weeds were growing in the "change houses" on the destroyed swim beach. Open air bathrooms were totally unusable. It would appear that the $$$ have been cut dramatically here, with downed trees and serious erosion. Excellent electric and water. Sites and fire pits were cleaned and ready. Note that we were only exposed to the west loop. The other 2 loops may be a different story. We intended to stay a second night, but an electrical storm overnight knocked out the power and with temps in the mid 90's, it didn't seem too inviting without the promise of AC. We camped at Belle Starr COE in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful park with several loops. Some waterfront, some with lots of shade. We stayed in West Loop. Park is being upgraded with more 50 amp sites. C Loop is being completely upgraded with large pull through sites, large patios and water at each site. Some have sewer. Has helpful, friendly hosts. We hope to return and stay longer. Our rate is half price with America the Beautiful Seniors or Disabled pass. We camped at Belle Starr COE in a Motorhome.
