Overall the park is huge, however when we called they only take reservations for the Scissortail area which has about 20 sites. The site we were assigned had had water issues, the area was extremely muddy to the point I had mud over the top of sneakers trying to hook water to our trailer. It was continuly leaking underground creating a swamp. Sights were asphalt paved but very narrow. Also they booked a rodeo group in this section with many horses. Will not stay here again. - Gloria S.
Jul 2014 - $20.00
We stayed two nights here. Fairly close to town if necessities needed, our site had no shade, but others did...I "dropped in" on 5 July and got a site, so was not choosy. The person at the office desk was very nice, put us in a nice long pull thru and the stay was very nice. Would stay here again. The lake was almost red from recent rains, but not their fault. Seems to be well maintained overall. - 7 on the road
Jun 2012 - $20.00
We arrived on a Sunday afternoon we were fortunate to get a lakefront spot and were not disappointed that the lake was beautiful. What was unfortunate was the condition of the beachfront in camp and the campsite itself which had trash strewn everywhere from previous campers. Even in our fire ring someone had left there eggshells from a breakfast cooked outdoors. It's amazing the way some people treat such a treasure. - tx1836

We stayed here for 2 nights while at a Geocaching event. It was very clean..the restrooms were heated which was nice, because it was cold outside. The sites were plenty big to accommodate the 32 Ft. 5th wheel and a vehicle in front of it. The site had water, electric and a table on a concrete slab. We stayed in Site 1 on the West Side. We had friends in sites 2-6 of the same area. All the sites were very good. There were fire pits but no grills at each site as well. From the sites we stayed you could walk down to the water directly behind the sites, the guys caught a few fish. There was a covered dock that you could also fish at, which was nice to get out of the wind and cold. The best way to drive into this area is to take highway 51 off of I-35, then take Perry Road North then Bronco West into the park. There are several gravel roads in the area, but these roads will keep you on paved roads. There was a bait shop in the park, which we didn't visit and the showers were behind the bait shop and not in the restrooms. There is a code to use the showers that you will get when you reserve a site. The people at the front gate are very friendly. The dump station was just as you were going out and it was easily accessible along with a station to clean your boats. The hiking trails in this park are pretty amazing and are all over the place...we hiked more than 5 miles on trails on the East side of the lake...they are very clear and there are several ponds that they will take you by. There is a very nice Frisbee golf course on the East side as well. They don't close the gate in the evening, but there are quiet hours from 10PM - 7AM. Would definitely come back....husband would like to bring the boat and do some fishing here. - Fonda
May 2016 - $22.00
We stayed in the west recreation area, RV site #10. Road into the RV loop and the pad is gravel. The RV sites were not very well maintained, lots of tall grass/weeds. A couple of dead trees were right over the end of our pad so we stayed out from under those. The electric pedestal is about 1/2 way back on the pad, the water connection shared with site #9 and it took a 50' hose to get to it. Power was good, water pressure was good, Wi-Fi worked well for my droid phone. The park is heavily wooded, lots of shade around the pad. Picnic table was far away and not in good shape. Generally the park was very quiet, it is away from any highway noise. But, beware that there is a concert venue about 4 miles away and they were having a concert the weekend we were in the park. The bass & drum beat was unbelievably loud from 8pm to 1am for 2 days of our stay. Our party complained to the park staff about the noise but they said they could not do anything about it. If this type of noise is bothersome to you, please check out the concert schedule before going at www.tumbleweedok.com. The park website claims there is regular patrol of the park which we took to be a ranger type person - we never saw anyone in the 72 hours we were there. We will camp again there in the future, had a great time with other family camping at 2 adjacent sites. The park had a lot of hiking trails and paved roads to walk on and nice views of the lake. Our RV site had a small view of the lake but most of the RV sites in this loop had no lake views. Come into this area from Hwy 51 if you want all paved roads. Coming in from the west and northeast will take you on some dirt roads. - Arlen

We would not recommend this park, but doubt you could even get in as all but 3 spots are available due to long term residents. There is no staff presence at all, but a nice lady did come to check us in when we called upon arrival. The spot we had was a back in and was not in great shape. The gravel was mounded in places with deep tracks from past campers. Needed to be raked. The water hookup was buried in the ground and full of water. We had to use a cup to scoop out the water in order to hookup. Due to heavy rainfall, it was full of water again with the area flooded when we left. Not a good system at all. Also broken glass all over. Wifi was very spotty, but it was satellite friendly. Although the park was full, it felt a bit like a ghost town. I think a lot of empty rigs just park here for football games in Stillwater. We prefer more resort like parks with people around, so this one just wasn't for us. - tmiller505
Sep 2012 - $22.00
Pretty basic campground, but we did get a level pull-through. The sites are gravel and there is a laundry room. There is free WiFi, but it's pretty slow. If you just need a place to stay at night, this would be fine. - mnmwillis
Jan 2010 - $20.00
About 10 miles off of of I-35. A good place to spend the night. Gravel pads. - justcamping

Apr 2018 - $20.00
This is another of the inexpensive, "no-frills" RV Parks that we love so much. Once again, rating it for what it is - not comparing against "resorts". Left message when calling for reservation and owner/manager called me right back. Super nice folks!! We had a pull through site, gravel & grass. There was a bit of a slope to our site so we had to level. Well water, good pressure, tasted ok after going through our filter. Had a couple over-voltage trips. Good Verizon and AT&T cell signals. Looked like there were some residents - a schools bus picked up and dumped off a kid each day. That area appeared well kept. There was an above average level of road noise, but it was COLD so we didn't hear it at night. Wish we could find a park like this in every place we stay. We would DEFINITELY return here!! - Julie and Ray
Apr 2017 - $20.00
Low budget park. Big sites. Partial gravel, grass. Residents are mostly local workers. No hassles, but it is not a pretty park. If you are overnighting, a cheap place to stay. Decent water pressure, 50 amp power good. - RvFoodys
Apr 2017 - $20.00
This campground is a lot that the owner opened up to rv. Back in sites. Fill hook up. Got 30 TV channels over antenna. Gravel, some space between spaces. Basic place with friendly people. Good for overnight - jcpjane

Sep 2014 - $25.00
I am sorry to say we did not stay here. We made reservations, but when we pulled up I was afraid to stay. The place looked like someone's front yard where they parked trailers side by side and lived in them long term. The space they were going to put us, was so tight, I don't think our side had room to come out. Everything looked unkept. I begged my husband to turn around and leave. - Wanda H
Jun 2012 - $24.00
This is the second time we stayed here and will be returning each year we come to Oklahoma. The atmosphere is friendly, quiet and is family-owned. The owners welcome people and treat them like friends. The Wi-Fi is great. The laundry facility is small with only two washers and dryers. The fact that they have storm shelters is definitely a plus for this area of the country. - We3Travel
Apr 2012 - $24.00
When we first pulled up to this place we thought it looked to be a really funky place, not one we would spend a lot of time at. The spaces are pretty tight and kind of oddly organized around the owners' home. They are gravel and there were some pull through sites, lots of permanent residents. The laundry was small but clean. The owners' were busy tiling one of the shower rooms. So, we are thinking "very funky" and weren't really ready to give the place a high rating. When the first night settled in and we began the experience of a HUGE storm with six hrs of continuous thunder & lightening, drenching rain, hail and ferocious winds I will have to say the fact that the park came with two storm shelters negated all of our other impressions. When the sirens went off and we actually had to go into the shelters (after the owners ran around in the rain and dark waking us all up) we were even more impressed and grateful. The other park in town doesn't have shelters. We would definitely return to this park if we are in the area. The shelters made all the difference! - shovelguy

Aug 2018 - $25.00
Beautiful views of the lake. Small place, city owned, with about 10 sites. Grass needed to be mowed... was mowed by the lake but looks like they forgot the RV area. Had to hunt down the sewer connection, it was buried in the tall grass. Water hookups are in a box in the ground so you have to get on your knees in the tall grass. Very quiet and cheap. Would definitely spend the night there again. Close to interstate but couldn't hear traffic. - DogFriendlyGuy
May 2018 - $25.00
This is not a destination campground but it does serve as a good inexpensive stop over. The sites are paved, water, elec and sewer all functioned as expected and the view over the lake is nice. Full overnight hookups for $25 was just what we were looking for so it gets a 7 in our book for value and location near I-35. We were in site 6 and had no trouble leveling our coach. - Beech35p
Mar 2018 - $25.00
This was a great place for one night! It's a peaceful setting overlooking Perry Lake. Only one other rig pulled in for the night we were there. There are full hookups. The water hookup is about a foot under ground with a cover on it. In the morning, we were unhooking and the entire hole was full of water! It had a leak somewhere and we didn't know it. I had to reach my arm into the water to unhook. Other than that.... it was a great one night stay. - Honalee
