Jan 2015 - $12.00
Nice park that is way under-used. We were the only campers there over a weekend. The park is small (about 20 sites). The sites are pretty close together and not perfectly level, but level enough that you can deal with it. The whole park is gravel/dirt. All sites have a view of the lake. Trees are fairly plentiful. There was no attendant or park host for the duration of our stay. Though we didn't need it, the restroom building was locked up. Hookups worked perfectly. Sites nearest the lake are full hookups. The ones further back are W/E only. The place was very quiet. Only a handful of fishermen and a couple of boats came through. There are vapor lights scattered throughout the park. Each site has a fire ring, picnic table and grill. Proximity to I-35 is a plus. - Mean Green Kyle
Mar 2013 - $10.00
The last two reviews pretty much says it all, but i do have a couple of comments to add. First of all the full hook up sites are two close so we picked a electric only site which saved us another two dollars. I would not want to stay in this park during the peak season or maybe on weekends. Either could be dusty if no rain. The lake was pretty, and where we parked, we had a great view of the lake but I feel the grounds needed a good clean up. The campground manager was nice, and in all fairness, we would stay here again. The stay here is 14 days at a time but I feel there is a blind eye for longer stays during off season because some of these people looked like they had been there for months. - monaco cruiser
Oct 2010 - $12.00
We have stayed in this campground before, it is quite, trees, fair size sites, tables and fire pits and up-right grill to cook in. Great value and seniors get a great discount. - Retired RVer

We stayed one night. Park owner was very helpful. Concrete, level pads and tiled showers. We will always stay here in the future. - Texaloha
Jul 2017 - $25.00
A fairly new park. Lots of permanent residents. Rock roads but concrete pads. Nice management who said the park is a work in progress. Highway noise is a little bad at times. No fire rings or tables. - southernsky
May 2017 - $20.00
This is a newer location and our site appeared to be a new addition to the park. The folks running the show were extremely nice and friendly. We stayed for the weekend to attend a graduation at the college. This is a newer, well-kept park and we would stay here again. All the sites had full hookups, cable, wifi. No playground. There are no grills, patio tables or fire-rings provided. Sites are very close together with many permanent setups. Outdoor music of any kind is not allowed. 11am checkout or $3/hour late fee. It is near both an active train track and a state highway interchange. You will hear train horns and semi-trailer tractors using their exhaust brakes if you have your windows open. A fine place for a couple night stay, but not a resort. - ACope

Sep 2015 - $30.00
Had to come to Ada for local tournament. Found Twin Lakes. Checked in with the head employee who set us up in a nice pull-through. Advised him we were going to host the team for a bar b que. He mowed the area to host it and brought over 2 tables, which were more than helpful. Our site was fine. There are more campers that are permanent residents but it was fine. Would stay there again. - rbr
Jul 2014 - $15.00
Since last review no cable in overnight spots, no password for Internet given to overnight guest. The roads have really deteriorated since last visit. Rate is a special Escapee rate which manager stated he would no longer honor. We will not stay here again, with a much nicer place 1 block away. - littlegeneral
Nov 2012 - $25.00
Older park with gravel roads & sites. Mostly occupied by long term residents. Some sites are a little narrow & tight to enter/exit because of trees. Very nice manager. Good power & Wi-Fi. Excellent cable TV. Would stay here again when in this area. - c lewis

Mar 2018 - $25.00
This is an update of my April, 2015 review. The entry road is now in poor condition. There are huge unavoidable pot holes just off the county road at the entrance. The road is also very rough just prior to the entry gate. Electric was strong & water pressure was good. WiFi was still a little slow. Cable tv has been upgraded to digital & now requires the use of a converter box. There is a very good selection of channels available. You can still hear train whistles at night. Card for entry gate requires a refundable $20.00 deposit. I suggest you make arrangements to return the card 1 day prior to leaving. The office is not always staffed during the day. The majority of the tenants still seem to be working in the area. - c lewis
Apr 2015 - $25.00
Park is located across US 377(J A Richardson Loop) from Ada in rural setting. Managers are very friendly & helpful. Roads & sites are all white rock/gravel. All sites are pull thru. Roads & some sites could use some additional fill in some low areas. Park is fenced & has a gate that requires a gate card for entry. Both 30 & 50 amp available. Our 50 amp worked well. Good water pressure. Good cable TV with many channels available. Wifi was a little slow. Restrooms & laundry could both use a little TLC. The park has many long term residents who are working in the area. No problem with road noise, but you can hear train whistles at night. We have also stayed at the other RV park in Ada, but definitely prefer this park. We will stay again when visiting son at college. - c lewis

Jun 2015 - $8.00
A very basic campground overlooking the west side of the Lake of the Arbuckles. The campground is laid out more like a picnic area and is used as such by the locals. The best I could figure out was to park my trailer and tow vehicle by one of the picnic tables since there appeared to be no clearly designated parking areas. Since I got to the campground after the Park Rangers went home, and was the only one there that night, there was nobody to tell me if I did it right or not. At my site, there was one water spigot for about a dozen campsites. There are two pit toilets for the entire campground and neither one was especially close to my site. A number of locals cruised through the campground in the early evening. I did not get any sense that there was security provided after the Park Rangers went home for the day. I will probably try to stay at one of the other NRA campsites in the area the next time I pass through. - Teardrop11

Sep 2016 - $30.00
Large grassy area with hundreds of water and electric hookups. We camped there in a large Motorhome during one of the very nice Arbuckle Bluegrass Festivals. There was a huge storm coming in that night and they did want us to park on a higher site so we wouldn't get stuck and did. Nearest town is Davis, for shopping, about 15 minutes away. We would camp here again. Some freeway noise but not too bad. Sites are not numbered in the area we camped in. Some sites are located along the paved road and have lots of shade. - elduque

Jul 2018 - $30.00
Such a great find. Family owned, most friendly and accommodating people I have met in some time. Park was wonderful, back-in parking was easy with plenty of maneuvering room. This park is fantastic for children. Swimming pool, basketball court, frisbee golf, volley ball and swings. Great fishing pond and dog park. Can't think of anything they have forgotten. Great park for families and pets. You won't be disappointed. - Howard Kelsey
Jul 2018 - $32.00
Nice park, very kid friendly has lots of things. Very nice pool, sites are back in with some space/ grass between sites. No cable picked up about 7 channels with OTA. Has pond with stocked fish, catch and release. Has dog park. Sites seem fairly level. Would return again. - 1rver
Jul 2016 - $30.00
Plenty of activities on site with the pool, playground, and fishing ponds. There is a dog run and plenty of area for pets to "do their business" with readily available bags for pick-up. Sites are back in only but are at an angle for easier use. Owners are on-site daily and are constantly riding around or cleaning. Clean park that I would visit again. Overflow parking available for boats or extra vehicles. - Kaydale

May 2016 - $20.00
We are really enjoying our stay here an will be staying on a permanent basis for now. Very nice owners and extremely helpful. I'm a senior and had a few small items on RV that needed attention. One of the younger employees was allowed to spend a day helping me out with some elevated repairs and some required labor. Very well manner young man and a pleasure to talk to. Memorial weekend the camp was full and everyone was pleasure to visit with. Only one mile from a great boat ramp and nice fishing dock. 4 miles from Walmart which is really handy. We definitely would stay again. If we ever leave. Laundry room available. Well done lawn care and landscaping. - Garry 1948
Apr 2011 - $25.00
Older park with new owners. Sites gravel mainly level not all 50amp. Owners are friendly. Has a number of full time trailers but sites are pretty well kept up. Would be a good place to stay a few days while visting the Turner Falls area. No real place for children to play but owners intend to make more available for families with children. I would stay here again when in the area. - TXBobcat

Nice quiet campground for fall camping. Not crowed. Only complaint is the "hot"shower was not so hot. 72 degree water temperature is NOT hot. Five miles from town. - Lois Buswell
Oct 2016 - $11.00
Small campground near Lake of the Arbuckles. There are just a few sites with water and electricity, but the ones that have it are very nice. You cannot see the lake from this campground but it is a very short drive. Nice spacing between campsites and very quiet. We had good AT&T cell and data service here and were able to pick up ABC, NBC, and CW from the antenna. You can't beat this place for the price. Nice long and level asphalt pad. Additional asphalt space for tow vehicle. The road leading into the recreation area is not very wide and has several hard left and right turns to it, but we did fine in a 40 ft 5th wheel. Only real complaint is the low water pressure. We would camp here again. - Sigohigo
Oct 2014 - $22.00
Very quiet park. We stayed in the upper area with all sites having 50 amps. All sites are asphalt and they were finishing up re-praving the roads. Our site was very private and we will be coming back - Stujan
