This place is a DUMP. We made reservations for a 34’ motor home towing. We could hardly maneuver around the area. The site they assigned us our unit wouldn’t even fit and it was very unlevel. The unit right across from us had 7 empty 12 pack boxes laying in the yard. It was supposed to be 5 minutes from Seminole but was about 20 minutes. Trash everywhere. I would not stay here if it were free. A real dump. - Kent Carmichael

Small fishing lake, no jet skis, skiing or tubing allowed. Lots of Geocaches in the area on on the lake. Very quiet lake even though all sites were full. You can now make reservations by calling the ranger - we had to text him first before he would answer his phone. Would recommend you make reservations if coming on a weekend, the park was full. Bathrooms were not clean and did not have working showers (stalls were there but faucets had been removed). Very nice swimming beach, sand bottom and well marked. Lots of fishing docs and a fishing bridge for bank fishing. You pay at the boxes located at the fishing docks. This is a very quiet lake, would go there for a relaxing non rowdy crowd! Text the ranger to get reservations. Some sites have sewer. There are two dump stations in the park. - Fonda

Our second off-season stay at Sportsman Lake Park. We had a whole campground loop to ourselves so it was very quiet at night. But this time the water was off due to the cold, so we used up the small amount of water in our fresh water tank and dumped at the RV dump. Therefore we were only charged the very low W/E rate. The park is quite a distance from I-40, but we generally use US 270 when heading to or returning from Mena, AR anyway. - fanrgs

Where can you camp in a quiet spot next to a lake for free! The sites appear at first look to have power, but the electricity to the sites has been disconnected. Sites are pull through and identified by a table and a trash can. Since there was not a sign for the campground I contacted city hall to make sure the campground was still open. They said there was no charge, but warned me that the gate to the campground was locked at 10pm every night. It was very relaxing. We were the only campers, and even daytime use of the park was limited to a few joggers, and a little league practice. The park is a couple miles South of town on Lake Road. - Traveling man

We have a 45' bus towing a mid size SUV, about 65' total length. After driving on surface streets too narrow us and another car to pass, we arrived at the campground to find the fence gate was too narrow to allow us to turn into the park. This was after driving through low hanging trees.
If you really have a big rig, better to pass this one by. - AprilWhine

This Is the only rv park in Henryetta, OK. We stayed here 3 nights only because it was the only camp ground in town to stay out to attend a family function. We made it work for that. the park is next to the freeway where the road has been torn up and is loud all night. Also the train tracks are right next to it. Positive-the pull thru sites were big, price was good, and the cable TV was excellent. There are some mobile homes that the police seem to frequent every night we were there. The office staff was very nice and helpful, the laundry room was clean and machines worked well! If you have to stop there the hook ups are nice but get ear plugs! - 10shifter

As the previous reviews mentioned, "Any port in a storm." I stayed here for two nights trying to avoid tornadoes in surrounding states. Let's just say: the owners/managers are very nice and accommodating; and it's CHEAP! However, cash or check only, no credit cards. The 3 pull throughs mentioned in earlier reviews: I have a sneaking suspicion that those 3 sites are kept for overnight. When I arrived, I was immediately offered a pull through, although there were plenty of back in sites available. However, the three pull throughs are close to the freeway. But on the other hand, they are the nicest and most level sites in the entire park. The cable TV has plenty of channels to watch, but it fades in and out. If you are desperate for TV, you can switch to antenna and pull in a decent amount of digital channels. No laundry facilities or bathrooms. But hey, any port in a storm and it's CHEAP! As a solo, I felt safe here. - DXSMac

A new park but the ower is great and helpful. We hit a hole when pulling in (our fault not the parks) and he offered to let us stay for free. We said no of course- he is just starting out and doing great. Has a barbecue restaurant next store and it smells great! We would stay again! - Catastrophie
