We recently had a nice 4 night stay at Buncombe Creek. We picked this location as our "go to" park on Lake Texoma was closed due to high water. This park has 3 loops, an A, B and C loop. Also due to high water, loops A and B were closed. We stayed in C21 which was very nice, lots of shade, and the most level site we have ever stayed at! The site had a concrete picnic table, a fire ring and a sloped area right around the trailer that provided a good amount of area which I really like and most of the COE properties we have stayed at have had. The electric and water hookups were close to the trailer. We would definitely stay here again and like that it was quite and a little out of the way. May not be for long though as a new casino is being built very close to the turnoff to the park on HWY 377 and will be open July '19 I believe. We have ATT cell phones and an ATT hot spot both of which were worthless here. We had to walk up to the top of the hill to get a signal, unless it was very early in the morning. The folks in the site next to ours had Verizon and they had a good signal. We camped at Buncombe Creek Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

One of several Corps of Engineer campgrounds on Lake Texoma. Off the beaten path so it is more secluded and quieter than the more developed parks. Some of the waterfront sites are elevated above the lake with nice views. All sites are heavily wooded with lots of shade. Large gravel pads with picnic tables and fire rings. No sewer hookups but there is a dump station. Showers are pretty basic but clean. Some sites have a very long water run so bring an extra hose. Short hiking trail and group picnic pavillion. No developed swimming area, but two boat ramps and boats can be moored at waterfront sites. We camped at Buncombe Creek Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.
